At 3:34 is there only one thread going in the tension disk? I can’t find a manual anywhere and can’t get the tension right.

So, since making this video, I've learned from our repair man that that little tension disk doesn't need to be used when set up this way. There's also a way to adjust the tension, by raising and lowering a post at the top near the take up lever (which is a whole other video to come).
