Great Team, U guys ROCK. I'm a contractor from the Boston area, I've put in well over 75 bathrooms, I hate tile floors in showers. No matter how they are built you will always have leaks due to grout failure. It's just the nature of the material. That's why I always put in a finished shower base made out of fiberglass, Corion etc, then cement board on the walls followed by tile. This method will NEVER LEAK. Just wanted to throw my 2 cents in. Your house LOOKS FANTASTIC‼️👍👍🔨 Vinny 🇺🇸
My father is 86, he was an electrician his whole working life, I had to laugh when I saw the mouthful of endcaps while wiring up that exhaust fan. Brought back some memories, I'm going to turn him on to this!
Nice video . Video #29 and already 37K subs . Wow . You guys ROCK . Some people have been doing vids for years and lucky if they have 10,000 subs . Have been watching you from the beginning . You used to have people complaining about the quality of your vids . Not now . Well done . Won't be too long before you make the big move .
Haha and rightfully so! The videos were awful. Taken with a cheapy trac phone and with intent for family to keep up with the us visually. Then other people outside of family happened to get interested and we stepped our game up some. Still needs improvement but we are getting there 😊 Thanks for hanging in there with us!
Can’t wait for the day you make enough money on RUclips to have Josh stay home and y’all can make more videos! Hands down best couple on RUclips. Keep being you, guys! Also, I have a t-shirts business, I’d be more than happy to be your Merch provider!!!
been watching your build for a while , you two work very well as a team . Josh your wife can do a lot more than many wifevs can or are willingto .Keep it up YOUR GOING TO HAVE A BEAUTIFUL HOME WHEN ITS FINISHED !
So nice to see a couple so in-sync with each other and on the same page in life. Work hard to never lose that you two. Yall are an amazing couple and it restores my faith that true love does still exist in today's time. House is looking good.
That air nailer has some miles on it and this is only part #29, I'm willing to bet he wears that thing out before they finish! I am loving this series so far. Excellent job!
WOW. An indoor bathroom. Now I want one. After 6 extreme North Idaho winters, I'm ready to enjoy an indoor shower / toilet. Great work once again you two.
Lots of parallels to our build. We used an outdoor shower into November in Wisconsin 😬 then used a stock tank with a curtain around it for a shower until we could afford the bathroom my wife wanted. We used the Schluter®-KERDI system and English surface mounted plumbing. You definitely can get better quality when you do it yourself!. Keep up the good work guys!
I so enjoy watching you with this build and each other. Thank you for sharing your journey and please dont change. Watching some other RUclips self builds, its a shame that their popularity then means that it stops being a self build and more of a money making project. Once again thanks!!
I discovered your channel yesterday moring and I've watched all of your videos so far. I really love that you're building this amazing house on your own and I do hope that maybe in a couple of years my wife and I start building our own A frame house on the mountain side. Greetings from Romania!
Thanks to both of you, the entertainment factor and the quality of work exceed most any other channel out there. I applaud your efforts, your energies, expertise, and incredible teamwork!! Thank you...
I’m so glad I found your family’s channel. I just bought land and we plan to build our home ourselves. I’ve watched every video and I’m so amazed. Great Job!!!
Great work, guys! Wonderful teamwork as always! Good planning to leave an air gap on the sides of the skylight boxes to maintain roof ventilation. Thanks for sharing!
Erin did avoid the tear out. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast, or so I was told when I started swinging a hammer for a living. It takes time and much practice to make your slow speedy, but Erin's cut was smooth.
Thanks for posting a video. I look forward to yours. Watching you brings a smile to my face because of your fun banter. A couple of thoughts as I have 5 new builds and a couple of remodels under my belt. Invest in some tools. YOu'll never regret it. First, buy a foam gun. They're under $20 and the cans of foam have a much higher yield. There's no wast with the cans as you shut the nozzle off and it stays fresh for months. Second, if you're doing another bath, consider a fan from Panasonic. They are very quiet and efficient. I've had Broan and Nutone and they don't move as much air. Get a rotary drywall tool. Dewalt makes a really nice 20V cordless and I find using the 5/32nd bits are much less prone to breakage. Zipping out around openings is so much cleaner when you get the hang of it. A drywall screw gun would be a good investment as well. Corded aren't that expensive, though cordless are handier. You'll use it a lot and you won't overdrive or underprice screws as much. Keep up the good work. Anxious to see how your solar system works.
Love your chipmunk voice, nice job! You two complement each other one is silly and other sillier lol and that's why I keep watching plus I learn a little things here and there from you guys keep up the nice job.
Definitely scoring some brownie points Josh. Woman needs their bathrooms. Also if the cat gets to the point where it’s longer than Erin’s hair, we are going to have to start calling you Father Time. Great work. Keep on rocking 👍
Congratulations for the excellent work, you have not overlooked anything and you are doing a lasting and high quality job. And I congratulate you for editing the video, the sequence when you entered the door with building materials, it is very beautiful. Having fun working hard is the most beautiful thing, and you are a very close-knit team. Good luck and good spring to you all and a big hug from Venezia.🦃☮😉
Always a like given- you two are a hoot to watch in action- healthy banter back & forth; all in good fun!! This is great motivation for more people to do "barn raising" or build yourself!! Congrats on the progress - the punch-list gets smaller each time... closer to that place called Home. Keep em rolling!!
I've always used either backer or the green board in the kitchen by the counters and appliances. Even if I'm tiling afterward, it just gives me peace of mind.
Outside where u placed the duct outlet.. Attach a small grill with smaller holes to the diameter of the duct hole.. Things like bees n bugs n small roadents get in through that space.
Erin we can make Josh an Aussie we hold red flannel shirts in high regard...lol...well done guys must have been nice doing some inside work well you know the making of a room...Josh makes electrical work look so easy...cheers from Australia...🤗
I have been following your videos for a while and enjoy the humour you put into this build keep up the good work, and fulfill your dreams for both you and your family.
I just came over to your channel and subscribed . . . , I love the channel, the comments and the positiveness, especially the work humor you two share with all of us. Thank you so much. Also other subscribers mentioned maybe doing T-shirts/flannels or what not with your logos and selling them, could also do hats/beenies . The other channels I watch they do something similar and they sell.
It just seems like yesterday , was watching your vids and you were at like 7 K and look at you now !!! Way to go guys ! Quality of vids have always been good , but ive got to say their pretty awesome lately ! Great work you two !
Yes I agree. They are getting really good at making the videos. I mean that they are very good together and the video content is very good. The quality of the videos is extremely well done and very easy to watch. I love it that she always zings on him. I also love that he always lets her win. I know we only see what they let us see but I think they are the same on or off camera. All I know is that when I watch I can't help but smile.
Another amazing video! Thanks guys your both amazing people, thanks for the content, I have to say I learn something on almost every video. Keep em coming!!
Outstanding work ya'll and all in under 20 minutes. What do you do with all your other spare time? Charging those energizer batteries I suppose. I can't wait to see the next video. Erin, if you are the one putting these videos together you are doing a wonderful job. See ya'll on the next one.✌️🚿🚽 🏗
So cool to hear your voice change when you cut back to you talking next to the new insulation at 15:06, sounds way different from you guys talking earlier in the video, getting some good sound deadening now.
love watching you both... earlier watching the metal roof install kept asking why did you use the 12 footers up top and not the smaller 10 footers... question just answered with vent... brilliant...
Y’all are doing an amazing job! You guys work great together! Absolutely love your channel. Thank you for sharing a part of your lives. ♥️ P.S. Get your wife some boots with a lug sole plz 🤣🤣🤣 Cowboy boots have no traction. Said with concern. I love cowboy boots too! I just don’t want you to get hurt. Rant over lmao ♥️🤣
We are in the middle of redoing our master bath as I watch this video. The people who built our house screwed this up so bad we are having to do a total rebuild of this bathroom. The walls including what the tiles were attached to were Sheetrock. No backer board or green board was used. No gaps between tiles for a decent grout job tiles in contact with the shower base. Water got behind some of the tiles. You can guess the rest of it. Tiles loose, falling off. Sheetrock falling apart, mold
It so nice to see a couple who don't fight, they work togather and stop and play for their kids

mmanut The fewer cuts the better. I’m thinking full wall pieces in our next house...I hate cleaning grout lines.
You ever see something so beautiful it makes you cry. You family videos! They do this to me; my eyes are swelling with joy as I type.
My father is 86, he was an electrician his whole working life, I had to laugh when I saw the mouthful of endcaps while wiring up that exhaust fan. Brought back some memories, I'm going to turn him on to this!

Glad you taped the insulation before the drywall went up. Makes the world of difference. :)
Boy she is a keeper. She is one smart woman.
Josh should be very thankful that his wonderful wife is helping with so much. I know he is but I wanted to give kudos to my girl Erin.
🤣 he is the brains behind the operation. Love ya Mrs. Rogers! ❤
I love your channel, you remind me of my wife and myself only 50 years ago with our first house. We have been married 61 yrs.
Congratulations on 61 years. We are at 47, hope to match yours❤️
Can’t wait for the day you make enough money on RUclips to have Josh stay home and y’all can make more videos! Hands down best couple on RUclips. Keep being you, guys! Also, I have a t-shirts business, I’d be more than happy to be your Merch provider!!!
You should be on a TV show. You're both very amusing, knowledgeable and wonderful to watch.
been watching your build for a while , you two work very well as a team . Josh your wife can do a lot more than many wifevs can or are willingto .Keep it up YOUR GOING TO HAVE A BEAUTIFUL HOME WHEN ITS FINISHED !

I so enjoy watching you with this build and each other. Thank you for sharing your journey and please dont change. Watching some other RUclips self builds, its a shame that their popularity then means that it stops being a self build and more of a money making project.
Once again thanks!!

I'm always impressed that you know the position of each piece of framing when you are fixing the fibre boards in place
I know you guys are working your butts off, but you make it look easy... I love these videos.. from Hardy County WV..
Excellent team-work, your home is amazing, and each day it gets even better! WOW!

Thanks to both of you, the entertainment factor and the quality of work exceed most any other channel out there. I applaud your efforts, your energies, expertise, and incredible teamwork!! Thank you...

Great work, guys! Wonderful teamwork as always! Good planning to leave an air gap on the sides of the skylight boxes to maintain roof ventilation. Thanks for sharing!
You two work good together. Thank you for letting us in on your build.
The satisfaction of finishing the rooms out is great.
Just a suggestion, but what would you think about painting those concrete pillars a flat black and they would disappear.
You're amazing. Simply amazing! Can't stop watching your videos and planning building my own house!
Looking good guys
Nice to see ur still having fun
Y'alls house will be very warm with that good insulation. The bathroom looks great!

You guys always have great music. Keep it up.
Round 29: Erin v the cat = 6 to 1. The lady wins. The bathroom looks amazing, too. Looking forward to the next episode.
Hey Josh. A good looking lady always wins an argument regardless if she is right or wrong so we might as well surrender.
You guys are doing a great job!
Erin did avoid the tear out. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast, or so I was told when I started swinging a hammer for a living. It takes time and much practice to make your slow speedy, but Erin's cut was smooth.
