When I play both Mariah & Jodie's renditions of Fantasy, I'm blown away buy the difference in sound. Mariah's is more upbeat, sanguine and in the midst of infatuation while Jodie's has a sense of melancholy, heartache and longing to it.

It’s so amazing how the same song can seem to have such different meanings, I feel like Mariah’s version focuses on the fantasy itself and how amazing and fun it is and ‘oh wow what a sweet fantasy!’, whereas Jodie’s version feels like it emphasises more on the fact that it’s only a fantasy which she wishes is real, but sadly it’s ‘just a sweet fantasy’.

Why limit yourself to just goth? That's just ego speaking. If we are more authentic then we'd find that we have so many layers and taste that one genre cannot possibly cover even a fraction of.

I found this in my watch later and it’s making me remember the feeling I got when I watched the movie for the first time. It was that feeling in your stomach like finding out shocking news. That tingling sensation covering your whole body. I knew I wouldn’t feel like that again in a long time.
