If you create a trash desktop icon and delete a file does your trash icon disappear? This is make or break for 6.1....
Interesting it does :( has a bug been opened?
@@linuxnext Yessir. At first I thought it was a Tumbleweed bug cuz thats where I found it first and I use Tumbleweed (cuz its the best distro) but then realized its an open bug with KDE. They have acknowledged it but haven't fixed it since 6 released =(
@@froedge sadge, hopefully it gets fixed, makes no sense for it to delete the shortcut lol
@@linuxnext If you don't like this behaviour, you can just use Windows, hu?! o) Just kidding, but you maybe get the point. Accepting lower standards than usual is not an option! Let's reach for the stars! o)
Im still not getting the 6.1 update past like 2 or 3 dependencies that have an update. Im just supposed to do an update after editing conf right?
Do you have kde unstable above extra?
@@linuxnext i should've given more info. I'm on CachyOS and I had to put the unstable and extra testing above CachyOS v4 for it to work I think. I've successfully updated to the beta but with Adaptive sync i see the mouse stuttering until I open any GPU related like moving window, opening a game, running a video, recording. It's just like cursor is stuck in lower hertz and everything else is syncing fine. So while gaming with Adaptive on no issues. But generally it stutters
Also, thanks for the video!
@@LeviArbalest yeah wouldn't recommend that as cachyos likes to modify a lot of packages
@@linuxnextForgot to update. I've since reverted back to the stable version by forcing a downgrade after putting them back in order and hashing. I know it's probably not adviced but I don't daily drive linux as much yet and can afford to mess around 😅
@@LeviArbalest fair enough, downgrading packages is mostly fine and shouldnt break but of course it can, it just has never happened to me
Hi is your wallpaper @I ?
It is in the comments somewhere ⊂(´・◡・⊂ )∘˚˳°
Plasma 6.0.5 is still so broken. Not buying 6.1 is going to be suddenly perfect.
Only one way to find out
Is PIM / kontact suite still slowing down everything ?
Hmm i dont know, i don't use that i dont think
Now kde needs modern apps
I would say its modern O_o thats very subjective tho
Still sucks lets wait and see if its better than gnome in all aspects
What suck's about it?
@@linuxnext floating panels overall issues with external monitors and so on connectivity issues not well implemented in arch linux yet...and so on ......
It's perfectly ugly!
Need a system that use full power of my 4090. Also undervolting is a must. Can i have it on Linux? No.
Even on windows undervolting is dangerous and can damage your video card. Do not do that to many times, just an advice…
@@danilarosnever Heard such BS... Dude since 980 GTX is undervolting a must have. There is no risk to damage a Card, what are you talking. Ohh boy
@@m.m.3753 I’m an electrical engineer so i think that I know what I’m talking about. But I will not give you a lesson about this, it will take to much time. But hey, you do want you want, who am i…
@@danilarosthe whole world do Undervolting Cards. No one killed it with undervolting... Look at Tech Videos since about 8-10 years and learn about undervolting. The WE can Talk again Mr. engineer.
@@danilaros ohh man. Engineer means nothing. The whole world do Undervolting. Me since GTX 980. Less Heat, more FPS, lesser wattage. All Cards works since today. Even the biggest YT and Tech pros promote Undervolting. Cause it works and dont destroy Cards. If i didnt undervolt my old 6900xt, they would be dead.
im using kde 6.0.5. and I can add a lot of wallpapers at once not sure about that, I never had that bug.
I think it was before 6.0.5 so its all good now
Yep it was 6.0.4

Really do not use Rawhide in prod, sometimes things get pushed and it breaks stuff.
I really love the look and feel of Plasma 6. But I have to go back to Mint. Just because installing print drivers is so much more streamlined. I tried to install a print driver for a network printer with Plasma and I could not for the life of me do it. It is impossible to do.
I would give it a try again when you can, if you learn some more you'll get the hang of it and after you do it you don't have to do it again, my printer does get detected and i can print to it so thats a rip
@linuxnext the network at my job is on a whole different network than our wifi. It can be detected through our wifi. But for some reason, KDE Plasma won't see it. I was trying to use IPP with a PPD file. I put the IP of the copier in my setup, but it would never work. LINUX mint, on the other hand, worked. Not sure what I did wrong. I really want to use KDE Plsama 6, but Mint seems to be the simplest OS.
