This is stellar and revelatory. As we know, Anthem Of The Sun was strung together from studio work and live performances. So, stringing together was always an option. These "out-takes" need to be edited, strung together as a coherent whole using modern techniques, and released to the legions of sound hungry deadheads. The release could be titled something like "Anthem Improvisations". I have particularly enjoyed Jerry's unrestrained use of fuzztone here, a sound he later used sparingly during his career.
Hello LMDJ, thank you for the show, best thing that ever happened to me was losing the day job. My cubicle got down to 12 in square. I ran away out under the door
What a present!!! Never really thought about how hard the band practiced. So cool there's all these audio nuggets!! Thank for you uploading and all the work put into this. Im asumming LossLess Legs are still running. Was a member 2000-2005
“I announced, 'Right here I want the sound of thick air.' I couldn't describe it back then, because I didn't know what I was talking about. I do know now: a little bit of white noise and a little bit of compression. I was thinking about something kind of like the buzzing that you hear in your ears in a hot, sticky summer day.” - Bob Weir 1997

Sound of thick air?

If they had stuck with their original producer (these sound so organized must be) might have had a really nice album. Thick air be damned.
