  • Welcome to my walkthrough series of Pokemon Stadium 2! In this playthrough, I will cover the gameplay of all the Pokemon Stadium 2 Cups (including Pokemon Stadium 2 R2): Johto Gym Leader Castle, Kanto Gym Leader Castle, Poke Cup, Prime Cup, Challenge Cup, Little Cup, and the final showdown against The Rival: the final boss of this game! I really hope you enjoy this Pokemon Stadium 2 no commentary series.
    In this video i feature pokemon stadium 2 elite four rentals only
    You can find the full playlist here: bit.ly/PokemonStadium2Playlist
    A Gym Leader Castle (Japanese: ジムリーダーのしろ Gym Leader Castle) is a location in the Pokemon Stadium series where players may battle the Gym Leaders (and their disciples) and the Elite Four of the Pokémon games of that Generation.
    The Gym Leader Castle in Pokemon Stadium 2 was more complex. Instead of it being an actual castle, it featured differently-designed rooms for each of Johto's Gym Leaders, each one representing the leader's type in its design. Like its predecessor, players would need to defeat each of Johto's Gym Leaders in turn, now including an intervention by Team Rocket between the Olivine and Mahogany Gyms, and eventually making their way to the Elite Four and its Champion, Lance.
    Upon his defeat, if all Pokemon on the player's team came from a Game Boy cartridge, one of them could re-learn a move that was available to be learned by level-up.
    The Elite Four are four are Pokémon Trainers who are regarded as the toughest in their regional Pokémon League, short of the Pokémon League Champion. Those who challenge the Elite Four must have won all eight Badges from that region and face all four and the current Champion consecutively without losing to any of them.
    After the defeat of Lance, mirroring the story progression in Gold, Silver, and Crystal, players may challenge a revamped version of the Kanto Gym Leader Castle. Though it has the same battle arenas as the first game, the design significantly differs: first, the eight badges of Kanto are on the sides of the castle's spires, and the eight are arranged closely together. Each Gym Leader has no disciples (players battle the leaders immediately) and they can be defeated in any order. After the defeat of Kanto's set of eight, Trainers unlock the chance to battle against Red, who, unlike his Game Boy counterpart, does not have a team that one would see in Pokémon Yellow. _____________________________________________

    Playing the Generation II Pokemon games, it's nice to see what has changed between the Kanto and Johto Elite Four. Red and Blue retired from the Pokemon League with the former training on Mt. Silver and the latter becoming Viridian City Gym Leader. Lorelei retired from the Pokemon League because she wanted to protect her family in Four Island. Agatha retired from the Pokemon League because she got too old and has decided to retire being replaced with Karen in the sequel. Will is pretty the same as Lorelei but uses Psychic-type Pokemon. As Koga is the new Indigo League member that doesn't have a replacement, he uses a buffed up version of his Generation I team with the addition of Generation II Pokemon. Because of this, Janine becomes the new Fuschia City Gym Leader. Unlike most of the previous members, Bruno keeps his Elite Four title but is now the third member to face. As such, he is the Kanto equivalent of Chuck. The final Elite Four replacement is Karen. She's pretty much like Agatha, but uses Dark-type Pokemon and is the leader of the bunch. Seeing some Poison Pokemon in her initial team, it make sense why she's Agatha's replacement. With Red retiring from the Pokemon League, Lance becomes the new Indigo League Champion taking back what he lost to Blue three years prior. As Champion, his team is a buffed up version of his Elite Four team.

      Yeah, hahaha. I got EXTREMELY lucky with how Dragonite missed Thunder three times in a row. Even after rewatching this video, I still can’t believe it. I swear I have to buy a lottery ticket after that, LMAO.
      I find it funny how some comments even suggested that I am cheating, when in reality there is always a degree of RNG involved in games like Pokémon. Reading those comments was hilarious.

      Surprisingly, the gym leaders of Kanto were easy! The only one that gave me headaches were Janine (his team is compromised of Annoyers and her strategy is to pretty much stall you), Green (a very balanced and complete team), and Red (no explanation here: its Red!).
      Good luck on your quest in Soul Silver! I know you'll go through it and succeed!

    Elite 4 trainer Will and his clefable bricked me for hours trying to come up with a way to counter it. I personally dont use self destruct or wobbufett (i stream and my chat was like no thats too easy) so seeing someone body it was satisfying lmao

  • @mikaelrivacov5705
    @mikaelrivacov5705 8 месяцев назад

    The Hunter and wobofet strat did it for me. My glitch'd lv50 mew did help with strong Physic attacks and soft boiled.
    Since it's a 50% luck base combat, cheating IA with better rentals there's zero reason to elaborate an strategy, pray for the best outcome and waste time on a fair combat 🙄
    Sometimes wobofet would do all the dirty work with precise counters.
    The Kanto gym leaders are easy as they didn't include other trainers with the Kanto elite four, thankfully...
    So my goal of unlocking the doduo Gameboy thing was achieved with the least amoun of effort possible😁😎

      This is why copying teams can sometimes be a bad idea. My teams are based off my own play style, and each player has their own unique twist. Try to put your own style in place and you might get even better results that I did.

      @@ChrisPTY507 To be honest I've tried a few alternate methods of my own but here it just keeps getting worse than better again to due the randomized CPU, but right here at the Elite Four has been notorious trying to my own methods and haven't actually gotten to Karen until seeing this, I'm also playing this on Switch btw

    Edit: Surprised they let rental Snorlax have Curse, that makes Snorlax almost unbeatable.

    • @ChrisPTY507
      @ChrisPTY507  6 месяцев назад +1

      I agree that I got lucky in some cases, but I also think that luck is part of the game. Sometimes you have to take risks and hope for the best. 😊
      I was also surprised that rental Snorlax had Curse, but I think that’s fair because Snorlax is a very slow and bulky Pokemon. Curse helps it boost its Attack and Defense, but also lowers its Speed. So it’s not unbeatable, it’s just very hard to take down. 😅

    • @JCBro-yg8vd
      @JCBro-yg8vd 6 месяцев назад

      @@ChrisPTY507 I agree. But Curse is a very big part of why GSC Snorlax is said to the best Pokemon in the game (fully EV invested, of course).

    • @ChrisPTY507
