I don't know why or what happened to OG but they draft like shit this TI. Gets smashed by Magnus and Lion on game 1 and for some reason they didn't ban Magnus and Lion on game 2. I remember OG as Team Liquid when Kuroky use the same hero in TI TA and Tide.

They had lead in the first game before the 2 skewers, there wasn't an issue with their draft in the first game. NP was split pushing and applying pressure and they had decent map control. Tiny was big and very farmed. They didn't ban magnus because ember gave them more trouble in the first game hence they banned ember. Also Ceb mains Magnus, and I think how it went is "oh I know how to play to not get caught, I main this hero". Second game they drafted 2 melee heroes for top lane and made NS a support, an awful choice. NS didnt have any damage to contribute in fights and only useful spell was his aoe silence. Sumail also got more involved in fights second game as a result instead of farming. And they fed one by one, some teleports questionable. Which I am guessing was the shock from first game carrying over. Also Void Spirit comes online much faster than invoker and earth shaker, all he needs is pretty much bottle and euls to set up kills and snow ball. OG draft didnt have any reliable stuns or catch. They picked invoker because he counters VS to an extent.

If you look at Ana pick on TI8/9 and compare it to TS carry (forgot his name) you'll see why they're a good carry. First you adapt, improve then overcome. You can't make a play with the line up on the 2nd game. They would require too much time and the Void came online way too soon then there's ember which you do not have any counter for.

Can't deny that because of sumail they got qualified for TI , the consistency of sumail kept them going ahead. But yeah this OG is wayy different than real OGs. No doubt ceb was the best drafter back in TI 8 and 9 but he's no more seems to be in his prime.
Biggest upset ever for OG... after the TI6 one by TNC. I think this must be a bigger impact on them and would be the turning point of OG that will hurt them even more. Ceb and Topson will likely retire after this. That said, this is the last tournament for them. Sumail will likely left the team too. Maybe Notail and Saksa would likely be the only player to stay in the roster. I doubt the OG will recover since most of their talent had left the team. Back in post-TI6 OG was lucky to found Jerax, Topson & Ana to replaced all of those wasted talent such as Miracle, Cr1t and Moon and their new replacement could do something incredible moment for the team. Now... I doubt OG will regained their era again. OG will gonna be in big trouble, hopeless and talentless just like Liquid & Navi today...
To be honest it's very logical. OG roster has a new member, they had troubles with ceb's eye, no audience, lower motivation, and TS have been existed for 2 years straight without any roster change and sequentially evolved as a team. But still very good performance
they didnt rode the meta...they let the enemy ride it and stick with their own playstyle but in reality, its what got them in the lower bracket and now, going home..

As a nigma fan, I've gotten used to losing to weird drafts. Secret took a game from PSG in Groups. They can beat PSG. Odds arent high but if you want to win 3 in a best of 5 you need to be able to win 1.

The absence of Jerax is soo devastating to the team. They never performed on the same level after that. I think if it was only Sumail replacing Ana it wouldn't be as bad. But Jerax was their core their stepping stone and their pillar. Without him OG "Collapsed"...

Can't deny that because of sumail they got qualified for TI , the consistency of sumail kept them going ahead. But yeah this OG is wayy different than real OGs. No doubt ceb was the best drafter back in TI 8 and 9 but he's no more seems to be in his prime.
Biggest upset ever for OG... after the TI6 one by TNC. I think this must be a bigger impact on them and would be the turning point of OG that will hurt them even more. Ceb and Topson will likely retire after this. That said, this is the last tournament for them. Sumail will likely left the team too. Maybe Notail and Saksa would likely be the only player to stay in the roster. I doubt the OG will recover since most of their talent had left the team. Back in post-TI6 OG was lucky to found Jerax, Topson & Ana to replaced all of those wasted talent such as Miracle, Cr1t and Moon and their new replacement could do something incredible moment for the team. Now... I doubt OG will regained their era again. OG will gonna be in big trouble, hopeless and talentless just like Liquid & Navi today...

To be honest it's very logical. OG roster has a new member, they had troubles with ceb's eye, no audience, lower motivation, and TS have been existed for 2 years straight without any roster change and sequentially evolved as a team. But still very good performance

I agree. They also lost to Secret in upper bracket due to the draft. Unfortunately no matter how good the players are, draft matters. I'm pretty sad. As a nigma fan, I've gotten used to losing to weird drafts. But I didn't realise how much I was really rooting for OG until I saw them eliminated - I truly felt like they had the skills to at least get to the finals of a 3rd TI. Seeing them drop out of lower bracket...feelsbadman. I said happily a few days ago "Nigma, then OG, then Secret" in that order. So hopefully secret win. (*picks up can of copium)

To be frank, i have been a strong og hater.. i hate notail, ceb, they like to belittle other team especially topson when he sprayed "loser" when they fought grand final against nigma.. but when they lose in this game, somehow.. i felt sad too..
yeah there'll always be some haters, but their journey to get 2 aegis' still a wonderful run to watch n remember. its not easy to do that, even with only depending on luck (fluke kekl). OG may lost, some players retired, idk how the team will continue, BUT their story remains as same as another previous TI winners. also thanks for still paying respect as much as u hate how they spice things up. i love how the community can still showing respect despite how much they love/hate the team
