If you wanted more turn-in and less locking, why not just move the brake bias back a bit. Wouldn't that give you more turn in and less locking without sacrificing braking performance?
Nice vid, very informative! Another person asked about the tire display and pressures, you mentioned a “bud” I like him are pretty new, can you explain the overlays, and “bud”??? Thanks so much for sharing!!w
Haha Bud is just a way of saying friend or mate. There are two bud that display all kinds of information. Below are the two more popular ones. You just have to enter some text in your steam start up settings. The links should help with all the info necessary but feel free to let me know if you have any other questions. github.com/sector3studios/webhud forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/otterhud-a-custom-webhud-with-additional-features.13152/
How do you know your tires are getting too hot, and/or which one(s) is? O, right: (started typing to early) You've got the tires diagram there. Could you please tell me how to set that up, cause I can't find it. Thanks. ps: what's that awesome intro music?
Hey. Depending on the bud you are using you can enable tire temps or when you go into the car setup menu it shows the inner/middle/outer temps. Hope this helps.
@@OnTheGrid It's weird, but last time I looked (yesterday) there used to be this tire section graphic in the left bottom corner of the car set-up page (In green), which I liked to get on screen while driving; so I asked you. Now I had a second look, it's not even on the set-up page anymore... ! Don't wanna take up much of your time, and might better search for a clip on _how to set up overlays in RaceRoom_ (I'm pretty new at this); Just one more question, though: you said it's depending on _'the bud'_ I'm using: what's a _bud_ ? (other than a part of a flower;I know; it's terrible ;-) ps: I'm using a pretty new gaming PC; curved screen and Thrustmaster 150 wheel, and am using RR via Steam. Thanks again.Edit: Oops: the tire info is suddenly back at the set-up page. Still like to know what a _bud_ is, though.
@@OnTheGrid Finally got it! (I overlooked one and the same step, a few times over. Must be getting slow. I changed my RR-name to Al Pease. Maybe we'll meet on the grit as soon as my lap times are less shameful. Thanks again!
I would definitely start with Raceroom since the investment is very little and will give you a good idea of the various disciplines. If you get serious into one discipline or another then you can get into iRacing and focus your investment on those cars and tracks.
I like the full grid of identical Porsche's :D Great vid!
Came here from reddit...really enjoyed this and so calming in a way but helped me listen better
Thanks and welcome to the chill racing channel 😂

@@OnTheGrid Thanks so much!
As someone who wants to get into racing sim would you recommend this or iRacing?

@@OnTheGrid thanks! Will start looking into Raceroom
iRacing is toxic
