Ignore the ignorant people who make comments about your accent, You have a perfectly fine manner of speaking and are extremely successful on your Chanel. It is an example of intolerance for those that are just not like them.

There is nothing better than a scrambled egg done correctly! Yummy! As for anyone giving you... or anyone else with an accent a hard time...get a life. Travel outside your bubble and see that there are different accents and cultures etc all over the place! Life is way too short, and there are way too many real issues in this world than to get so nasty about the way someone pronounces the word egg! Don't even try to conform, Sam! ❤

Perfect scrambled eggs. Tip: Butter or oil your stainless steel spatula. What to do with surplus eggs? Feed to your dogs, pigs, and yes...to the chickens! They also make the BEST gifts for neighbors, friends, and family. I drop them off with elderly neighbors. At the holidays, I gift them to the mail carriers and sanitation workers. You can get the plain cartons and adorn them with artwork, dried flowers or herbs, or bows and ribbons. Everyone loves them. Also, in late summer...you can store eggs for winter when the hens don't lay as much. I usually get folks coming back wanting to buy them.

I've been using half n half instead of sour cream to add to my eggs (and at the same amount too!). I'm gonna have to give your sour cream version a look-see for sure.
And I also use a stainless steel pan and on a gas stove. I saw a trick of having the pan under HIGH HEAT for like 40 - 70 SECONDS; before lowering down to low medium heat. And I've found that it quite successful in speedrunning the pan to getting an even heating temperature where the eggs slide off after using butter.
Anyways, always cool to see how others approach their eggs. And if I weren't living in the city, I might think about getting some chickens too haha ;) These grocery prices are OUT OF CONTROL!!!!

  • @NicholasStein

Your recipe is almost identical to mine. The butter is the key for me. It cools the pan a little and the water keeps the eggs from sticking or burning. I sometimes crack the eggs into a bowl and add them without whisking. That gives me bigger pieces of egg white. I also add chunks of cheddar at about the same time as you show and remove the pan from the heat at that point. That softens the cheese but still has chunks.

Ignore the critics. We all have some words we say that sound different to other folks. 8 dozen eggs, oh my goodness. I bet your friends love you. I always add cream and of course butter. So rich. I bet sour cream is wonderful as well. Adds a little something that would make people go hmmmm what is that? I don't know, but it makes it delicious. I always take my eggs off while a bit of goo is there. But I like sunny side up eggs so uncooked egg doesn't bother me at all.

You have chickens in your yard? 🤯 I always thought that Marylanders were more the blue blood, champagne and country club type. I’m still wondering about your reply recently saying that you only travel to a city with a restaurant supply store once a year. So, you must live in a rural area, but once a year? Does your family travel by a horse drawn covered wagon? 😁 I’m so confused. I’m going to have to do more research on your state. Your scrambled eggs look fantastic! 👏🏻

I don’t keep sour cream or dairy milk on hand as a rule. I generally use soy or oat, sometimes almond milk. They don’t mix well with eggs (I’ve tried - learn from my very mediocre breakfasts!). But what does work VERY well is the tiny shelf-stable diner cups of half & half (don’t just get “creamer” - it absolutely has to be half & half). I use the Carnation ones. One per egg does wonders. I usually make a three egg scramble or omelette. I empty out all three cups into the bowl with the cracked eggs, then fill one empty container 2/3 of the way with cold water, pour that into container two, then that into container three, then into the bowl. (It’s not as fussy or complicated as it sounds, I promise. I’m just rinsing out the half & half that thinks it can escape.) Next time I do have sour cream, I’ll be trying this method. It looks delicious!
