This is great THANK YOU if you could please how would i go about being able to click a button in webflow to stop and play the video you just showed us to do THANK YOU
I've attempted to enable this on my site, but it seems that the code only allows for the video to be positioned at the top of the page. When I try to put sections above the video, the other sections appear on top of the background video. Do you know what settings I can use to change this behavior? Thanks again for your post!
Is there a recommended way to add a fallback image say If the video didn't play for someone? Its the top center of a website a client wanted and I'm nervous if it ever doesn't show up it'll be really blank and I'd like a just in case image.
Hey Djaya! I'm not entirely sure what you mean. Do you mean you'd like to scale down the video instead of making it full screen? If so, you could always set a maximum width. Something like max-width: 1440px. If you mean the content is too wide, you could control that with your container. I usually set my containers to 85% wide and a Max width of 1320 (on desktop). If you made it 80% or lowered the max width, the content would draw in closer to the middle.
Hi Jose! thanks for your response. What i am trying to do is to make the height of the hero-section smaller, i find 56.25% to be a little to high/much. I tried to set a value of 50%, but, as expected, the video does not display correctly anymore. Does this clear things up? :) Thanks!
@@djayadevries8923 I see. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to figure that out either. When you embed a video, it brings in it's own CSS, so it's tough to manipulate. The easiest thing is to use Webflow's background video element. But, you have to have a video file you can upload.
Hey Trenton! Definitely. What I've done in the past is create a field in the CMS for the video ID. Then, in the embed, replace the actual ID with a link to the CMS.
Hey Walter! I believe the videos will still play on mobile. But, I would personally recommend disabling them on mobile because they can slow down page load quite a bit. I usually use a fallback image. Hope that helps!
Excellent! You are the missing link between real life and Webflow University-thank you!
I started watching this and said, wait, I know this guy!! haha. Thanks for the help man!
Thank you this really helped me!
Thanks Jose, pretty cool!😀
Can you use RUclips videos this way?

Great content. Please, how can I add the sound from the video?
which webflow plan do you need to do that?
Awesome! Can you add to this video Mobile VIEW explain?
and when responsive viewing the video is adjusted in height?
thank you
Great video, is there a way to have less padding while maintaining the aspect ratio? I find the video BG to be to wide. Thanks Jose :)

Thats a pity! I will try a short looped video background, thanks for taking the time anyway Jose! greetings,
Djaya
Is this with vimeo plus account?
thanks
nice one. do you know?? If there is play and pause button appears, then is it still possible to autoplay the video when webpage loads??
Hey Kobir. If you use Vimeo's background video feature, it disables the play/pause function and autoplays with a loop. Pretty great!
Not sure if you mentioned, will the video automatically loop?
ShutterlabCreative yes! It will.
Jose Ocando thanks, can't wait to give it a try. I subbed for the webflow tips!
Hi! this video have sound? I would like to use this technique on my website but with sound
the second link on the article gives you that option
Hello jose, good video. just one question, do you need to have a vimeo pro plan to hide the play elements? Many thanks from Manila
Hey John! I believe you do have to have a pro plan. I think that might be a recent development. Great question!
"Plus" account works fine
Is it possible to dynamically add background videos from CMS?

my question is weather video still works in mobile or does it default to an image
