Becoming a good trader takes time and patience. When i first got into trading i was liquidated twice, and lost my entire mortgage deposit. I could have given up, but decided to learn how to trade and put it into practice. 4 years later and i am glad i made that decision.
My portfolio has good companies, however it has been stalling since last year. I have approximately $200k stagnant in my reserve that needs growth.

There are a lot of Forex gurus on youtube. I believe that some of them are profitable but most of them trade using feel, very broad guidelines and that comes from experience. That's why when you buy their courses it all makes sense but there's no clear entry and exit strategies. And that's something that beginners desperately need.
This video not only shows that you know how to trade but also shows that you know how to teach people. I didn't know this channel before this video but i'm a subscriber now.

First of all, thank you for sharing your complete strategy with us. I am also a trend pullback trader and have a very similar attack to this type of trades.
I also use the ATR for my stop loss. It makes sense to me because the stop loss size is somehow tailored to the size of the movement of this specific pair.
Now, my question is, what do you think is the best ATR "Length" number to use?
Everyone uses 14 , but why?
What if the last 14 candles are of small size waiting for London to open?... if we find an entry soon after LND open, we would be using an ATR value from the last 14 candles of a dead market, hence a very small ATR value.... so... how do you deal with that?
Should we check "to the left" to find out if we CAN use the ATR?
Or do you adjust the stop loss size at your discretion?
Your thoughts on this would be much appreciated.

Thanks Mr Graystone, amazing stuff you are sharing! Do you recommend taking 50% profits off a trade and moving stop loss to breakeven and allow the remaining trade to run? or stick to the ratio? thanks!
Hey Jason, Great stuff! Just a quick question, so if miss the 1st trade entry, and you go into the 2nd trade entry of the HH/HC or LL/LC, but it doesn't occur, or doesn't occur in the 1:1 minimum kill zone, you are essentially still looking for the 2nd trade entry type on a retest, rather than start back at looking for the 1st trade entry type when I new higher or lower close is made in the trend?

Really good video, it's important that beginners know these basis strategies that can assist them with their trade career. It requires a lot, I guess many make losses due to lack of skills to handle their tradings.

When you place an ATR based SL for the second chance entry do you adjust the SL as the ATR changes while price is heading to the zone?

Love trading this strategy Jason! Learned it in the T1 community and would definitely recommend it to any trader looking to trade a trend. I only would say make sure you BACKTEST it yourself to make sure its profitable for yourself and include any filters you value!

Strategies are such a small piece of the puzzle. So its free! First chance entry stop loss is ATR above the DT on the lower time frame.

I was looking at this as if the highs and lows drawn here would be represented by candles adjacent to each other and that confused me. lol. it does not take much.
I have some thing that not clear, Mr Graystone. Why don't you wait Double top on Trading time frame (like H1) instead of Lower time frame (M15)???

Hello Jason! Why not entering with limit orders on previous levels in strong trends as an alternative set up? Since 80% of reversal attempts against strong trend fail it makes sense to bet agains the short term pullback.
The market often reverses without giving you a perfect double top or specific patterns
Where would you put the limit order consisstently?
Jason Graystone because in a strong downtrend the probability of going down X amount of pips at the new structure resistance is higher then the probability of going up X.
You may lose more trades but you also have more winners since the market often retests a level without giving you a textbook candlestick pattern

Jason Graystone sorry my bad. I put the order at the lower area of the previous structure, however if the pullbacks are deeper and the markets is not as strong/or ranging on the higher timeframe then l enter around the highest point. Sometimes l enter in small size and i add if it goes higher

It seems crazy to take a 1:1RR. you have to be right a hell of a lot.
This strategy attacks the trend 3 ways which means you have a variance in R:R but the best chance of catching the move
Why do you use ATR for your SL? What's the theory behind it?
I would guess that it’s less of an arbitrary level and is a level that is relative to the typical movement of that particular market. Makes a lot of sense to me.
