- Who makes the best survival arrows? After 1.5 hours of crafting, we test out the arrows in a little archery shootout, using the survival bows we made in the previous battle. This is last out of five pre-battles, and today we are battling for miscellaneous items. The one who makes the best arrow can choose a miscellaneous item for himself and also assign one to the looser. Today is the last change for Dylan & Julius to score some good survival items for the big survival challenge, coming up next week. It's very important to win those battles and score some good survival items, because that's all we got for the real challenge, coming up. With just the items won in these battles, we start on a doon fort Island. From there we individually have to make it to the extraction point within three days, 50 km away up the mountain. You should have released these bonus episodes on Fridays and spaced the whole thing out for another couple of weeks. Not because I don't want to watch them sooner, but so that your channel shows regular activity for a longer part of the year; it will help your youtube stats. In that sense, even the "just wanted to do a short little thing" type videos are a good idea to throw up there throughout the year.

I thought you should have done a distance test between both bows. Personally I think Julius had the better stronger bow and Dylan had the better arrow, oh wait...the only arrow. Great vid though. Looking forward to next episode guys.

I am sure we would have only seen a test of resolve there, Whoever was most comfortable pulling back. The branch bow might break though

Thanks guys. Since last week i have been out made a shelter had a fire brewed some coffee watched some deer. @Hypeful It is quite different but I feel like it would be interesting seeing them 3 together bushcrafting
For a 3 day trip, I don't think the fishing kit is great, especially since you both have other calories from the food item. They both kind of dismiss the dry-bag, but that would definitely be a stress reducer; you can use it to keep your stuff dry, as well as to carry your stuff and possibly as a comfort item (in the form of a pillow at night), heck, when it is time to cross the water, taking your clothes off (except, perhaps, underwear to make the video more youtube friendly) and putting them in the dry bag would be such a huge time saver, and comfort, that alone might have made the dry bag worth it. For Julius, though, the backpack probably was a better choice because he ended up with some bulky, ridiculous items, and the backpack will help to manage that more than the dry bag would. Still, his fire item was 2 matches... pretty important to keep that dry.

This one tends to prove that Julius need deal with pressure and stress a bit better. The fact that Dealan has gathered things during previous battle for me is a sign that he was cool enough to think about future instead of rushing around ;)

It took matt graham several hours to assemble arrows when he was given the materials and tools. On top of that he's made them all his life. Definitely need to give yourselves more time

Always waste a little time and put the sheath on the axe, ive gotten them between the toes, and in the knees, or I trip on it in the dark. Im glad you did it.
Glow in the dark paint is great on your survival gear, when you need to find it in the night or in your bag.
It's a safe bet there are no elves in those woods; if there were, we'd hear them laughing!

I’m torn between the 10 or 30 a month tier. I was going to do the 10, but this damn series has been so good I may piss my wife off and do the 30. Only channel I have considered contributing for.

This whole series is pretty interesting. I know i've been excited for each episode as soon as the next one was out, i would watch it right away.
The only thing i wish you guys would've done different is allow more time per challenge. This way you guys would've been able to properly finish each of the items and then , get a chance to properly compare crafting skills and design choices.
Allowing such a short amount of time turns luck into a major factor and skill into a minor one.
Anyways, i still enjoyed watching and i am looking forward to the last episode.

Started at a young age;) on holidays only..
Since then, i moved to Ireland to work on a Family members horse riding yard.. we took 2 of their horses to make the vid! Cheers. Dylan

I think you should redo the challenges without a timing them. Do a quality job that you would want in a survival situation. And an Orc arrow would us human bone for the arrow tip. Ha 👍✌🥃

Hello friendth. Dith ith Juliuth. Ath you have probably noticed, when I am concenthtrating on someting I stick out my tongue. Altho my lower lip. Tho, yethderday, I wath looking for fedders at de end of de day and dere wath this farm with chickenth! Oh man, I thaid to mythelf, dere must be loads of fedders dere. Tho, I tried to creep into de chicken haus and dis big dog he come out and he chathed me. I ran and ran, and then, still conthrentrating, I fell - and bit off my tongue! Man oh man, friendth, this ith just terrible for poor Julius. But Dylan thaw dis and saved my tongue and using flax sthring and a needle he thowed it back! But, upthide down. So, friendth, sthtill talking funny. More funny den my Dutch acthent vas. Theee you thoon!
