- Thoughts video on the car, performance what has been done in terms of mods and the good points but also the not so good. This car has it flaws and you should be aware of this when purchasing so I try and explain those in detail as there is not heaps of info I found on RUclips so hopefully this makes it more helpful for those looking to purchase.
my uncle had one of these in night package, it was insane, almost exact same spec as yours, had bucket seats and 19" multi spoke alloys, the performance and noise is insane, looks elegant too!

Nice! I just got a 2019 GLC 63 s AMG a few days ago. Traded in my Mustang GT for it. absolutely un-real. What's up with the check engine light?

Check engine light has gone away - I haven’t been able to pin point anything concrete. The car runs fine and all systems fluids etc are ok, apart from the washer fluid which is empty and it wouldn’t surprise me if it’s that so I’m topping it up tomorrow. I do also read up that tuned M177 need new plugs at around 60000km and I have just done 62000km - so this could be the reason also as it can cause a misfire with bad plugs etc.
@ssidewayz I highly doubt washer fluid being low would cause a check engine on a 2019 GLC 63s. A scan from an OBD2 reader would show exactly what's going on. Could be the plugs, but you won't know until doing a scan.

Perth based with very similar spec - Black, Stage 2 Catless DP’s, Lowered on Spacers but have the other rims 👋👋

What’s the lowering settings and how does that feel daily?
2023 GLC 300 and 2024 300 does not have this problem. I guess it is a different front diff.

Urban about 16L/100km - mixed 14/15L/100km, long run 9L/10L/100km - but don’t expect economy
Very similar life situation here. What were you deciding between when you chose this? I’m almost 50:50 on this and the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrofoglio. Reckon my wife will prefer the air suspension on the Mercedes though, so it’s probably going to tip me in that direction.
X3M, the VW Tiguan R was another and the jeep SRT8, also considered the Audi RSQ3 also - but for me Merc won on engine, driveline, sound, and blending all of the the other cars good points into what I think is the most rounded package of all of them
get an x3m/x4m if u are going 2019 or newer. i promise you will have the most fun with the s58 engine
Not sure if this has been answered but I notice the check engine light. Its the tune responsible for this?
Could be a number of things. I haven’t had this come up since and it went away after refilling the car? Hasn’t popped up since I’ve done this video

There is a reason why manufacturers advise not to tune the car which is already tuned lol😂 the EML is because it’s tuned !!!

I have glc myself and had random engine lights as well, happens to be the fuel cap, so so dumb. Twice I’ve filled till pump clicked and the engine light on straight after. This week just went shy of full full and it didn’t come on. Google it up, so stupid
It also goes away sometimes if you open and close it but also went away once fuel level dropped one bar
Hey mate yeh I have read it - tbh there’s a million things it could be with these euro electronic things - just the nature of the beast. I haven’t had the issue crop up since I had it serviced with new spark plugs and major A * B service was performed and since then I’ve tried out launch control a few times and driven hard and hasn’t popped up so I’m thinking it might have been a fuel/spark reading issue. Quite common on these at 60000km it is recommended to throw new plugs at them especially on tuned cars where they are fueled up more the plugs can go dirty easily and will then give engine misfire under hard load etc

I’ve got a 2018 GLC63s
Also I just select manual mode most of the time, it works in any mode
Not that I’m aware of - had a huge service done ✅ on the car about 6 weeks ago - A service + B service.
Front and rear diff service, transfer case service, transmission oil service new intakes, BOV, all seems sweet so far.

is it jerky at gears 1-2 as well?
@@rakishman1313 when the car is cold in sport + or Race yes - just the clutch/Gbox getting settled in until it’s at temp only for the first 5 mins or so
@@ssidewayz thanks for the reply for some reason it s very dramatic during normal traffic . On highways or given enough gas it s still there but not as bad . Will do the trans service soon sp maybe it ll get better
@@rakishman1313 I would recommend trans service at 60000km - if it hasn’t been done definitely do it. You will find it less jerky
@@ssidewayzyup ultimately I think it s impossible to get rid of all of that jerkiness especially in race mode . But it s on the list of things that need to be done soon so will do that

Mode plus track wheel spacer kit is the equivalent
Mine doesn’t squeak inside so idk why yours do … maybe a flaw on yours but my Tesla does squeak 😭😭😭it’s annoying
Yeh very common to have squeaks - just a lot of modern manufacturing these days

That check engine light on V8 AMG is no bueno
It’s nothing to be worried about - since the video it hasn’t shown a check engine light for 10 months
Turn ya radio off when recording
It wasn’t that loud in the car - unfortunately the audio on an iPhone is sensitive to background noise. We figured that out about 6/7 mins in and if you listen further in we turned it off.
