He has ALWAYS stated Cas is queer and his "I love you" to Dean was romantic. He just has states he doesn't have a label (i.e. gay, bi, pan) so that fans of various labels who see themselves in him can have their own headcanon. But he has always said queer as in NOT straight. He was saying here gay as in the umbrella term "the angel is gay". He posts about Cas every pride. At Momentocon last year someone asked and he sarcasticly said "Cas isn't gay!... imagine the uproar if I said that" then he immediately said someone would take that little sarcastic joke out of context and people have. The angel is queer and he has always said that.

His fans are known to harass people and even send death threats in his name and what's particularly interesting is that they did that to Jensen as well during his recent answer of saying that he loved Cas as a brother and not romantically.

Yes he did goof up with the barely heard "Im all three". And without confirming with Misha as to what he said, celeb and magazine sites ran with him saying he's bi and posting stories about his family all over social media. People were being super biphobic about it with jokes and memes saying "you're too old to be bi". When Misha made a statement and apologized about the I'm all three and stated his label, it was a good thing to do. And NONE of that has anything to do with him wanting and fighting for Cas to be queer and in love with Dean. You're new to this fandom and "heard things" I've been here since day one and actually pay attention. Misha grew up with a free spirit mom who raised him without toxic masculinity. He wore "girl" clothes as a kid and is openly affectionate with his friends regardless of their gender. He doesn't care how people see him.
