That's cool that You heard Me. It's been a strange day for skip. so many people on 38, it hard to make contact with anyone. I'm still gonna keep calling out, 151 SC standing by........
Is there a reason there’s no videos of people wiring a 6 pin plug on a 4 pin mic to illuminate the adapter? I can’t find anything anywhere. I got the new plug end but i don’t want to take it all apart if it’s not going to work
Any idea how to take apart a Sears Road talker microphone plug I cannot figure it out I want to see are my wires touching I'm getting a squeal I cannot figure this damn thing out I have not seen one video on RUclips about taking that plug apart Sears Road stalkers are not bad radios but that plugin Mike totally sucks thanks
Hello Mower Junkie, top of the evening to you. Interesting that You also have this Cobra power mic. I picked up mine (that same mic w/ 7v batt) from a fella who was selling of his equipment. The issue I am having is, that I cannot find a way or sequence to wire it for my superstar 3900G (which resembles the 148GTL). It contains the Red, white, green, black, yellow and braid wires. I've tried 3 common Cobra sequences but no cigar. Now, You said that this one was wire for a Cobra before you re-wired for a realistic, do you hold the original formula? I'd sure could use the help. I was looking at what you jotted down in regards to pin and colors, but I can only see, 1- Blue (which is not on this mic cord) 2- could be White (its not clear on the paper)? 3- Red and 4- Ground. But I don't know if Black is ground or the braid? Most Cobra sequences use a blue wire, but that's not on this mic, plus this mic doesn't have a model number, by which one can look it up.. wonder why is that? Another thing, they don't sell a 7 volt battery any more (like one I found inside). I looked it up and its been replaced by the 7.5v. Would that be safe to use?
Could you send me a link to that wiring chart. I've got a washington-based just like you do I wouldn't trade it mower Junkie you got some nice CB room 247 out here in the gold southeast of Oklahoma City 73 my CB friend
Sorry, But I only work on My equipment. You could try to wire it up Yourself, or get an adapter off ebay to make it work. Take care, and thanks for watching.
I just bought the din adapter that has the 4pin on one side & din on the other off ebay so now I can use my roadking56 or d104 on my trc-427 you should buy one & next time you solder a din plug wear welding gloves 🤓👍
I had to say Mike Cobra like I needed to wire to a 5 pain can you give me the colors of the pins the microphone colors I need to put it on a cobra 2000 Power Mike the one you just wired to the realistic
I don't have this mic anymore, and I'm sorry but I don't remember where the different colors went. but for a Cobra 2000, pin 1 is audio, pin 2 is shield, pin 3 is receive, pin 4 is common, and pin 5 is transmit.
Sounds great great job!
