- He's an outspoken critic of China's aggressive behavior in waters within the Philippines' exclusive economic zone (EEZ) in the South China Sea, known locally as the West Philippine Sea. Jay Tarriela is the Philippine Coast Guard spokesperson for the West Philippine Sea and finds himself on the front line of dealing with Beijing's increasing maritime intimidation. Taiwan Talks traveled to Manila to meet him.

I did not vote for Pres. Marcos but in fairness to him, he is doing good in his role. His foreign policy about transparency in the West Phil Sea is now gaining awareness and support from Filipinos and the International community

Oh wait, pH in 1971 already invaded Taiwan/China's Thitu and Kalayaan islands, occupied it by force and then fortified and dug in and after 7 years illegally occupation, in 1978 Ferdinand Marcos finally illegally annexed the islands they stole from China via presidential decree.

The best option may be for the Philippines to buy weapons from the USA and South Korea and have the Philippine military patrol and bolster the area themselves. What a good friend. Steal from China/Taiwan, and then ask them to give you everything else you failed to steal last time so it saves you the trouble of stealing it in future.
With friends like this who needs enemies.
Even if Taiwan gives anything, it means nothing since it is not there's to give away. Taiwan is part of China and all Taiwans claims and occupied territories are legally recognized as part of PRC since there is only one legally recognized China under international law and UN. And that is China/PRC.
We should push for international joint maritime patrol.

Namihasa ang China sa pangangamkam ng teritoryo sa WPS dahil sa Foreign Policy ng previous administration. Dyan nagsimula lahat.kaya tayo inaagawan ng teritoryo.
I think it was way before D30....even during Pnoy's term, Trillanes was going back and forth to China and the people doesn"t know what he is doing that.....1952 was the year that China began claiming their territory by releasing the 9-dash line.....
Hoi research ka muna… noong previous admin nakapangisda ang mga taga Zambales yan ang result ng foreign policy noon walang issue sa resupply mission…basa basa ka rin ng old articles dami niyan online tapos mag video pa yung sinabi ng mangingisda na noon nakakpangisda sila nitong 2023-2024 sila hinarass ng China

China did it before constructing shelter for fishermen but now a military base. I hope the Philippine Coast Guard would maintain their pressence in the Sabina and other Shoal to prevent China from constructing another base.
