As a former Suns diehard fan I was truly heartbroken when Luka and the Mavs eliminated us in game 7 with 223 points truly a sad night especially on homecourt you think we would do better with only 19 points and I began to cry when Luka began to rip all of the Suns roster jerseys to show his dominance truly a terrible heartbreaking gut wrenching night. 😔
I cried that day. The day when my team, the suns, lost to the mavs. No, it wasnt a normal game. I sold both my kidneys, I even sold my children, to get courtside seats. But even after the 1st quarter, I knew the game was over. 223-19. My dreams, crushed.
Ah yes, I remember that Mavs-Suns game like it was one hour ago. Devin Booger tried trash talking Luka Doncic after he made a three, and Luka ended up dropping 210 points, 67 assists, and 103 rebounds while also breaking Wilt Chamberlain’s points in a single game record.
Wilt has a lot of those, but he was a modern players vs toddlers haha, his stats are insane, if it wasn't considering what he was against, it is unbelievable. The guy one year got criticized for not passing, so the next season he lead the league in assists lol, he averaged 50+ points n a season, the only comparable is Jim Brown, 8 time rushing champion in a row in 9 seasons, the next best is 2 players with 4, not in a row in full careers and he quit to be in a movie with the hottest female of all time, Jim Brown stats are also shocking lol.
Wilt's rebounding record in a single game will never be broken. Only him and Bill Russell has managed to grab 50+ rebounds in a game and only a few players since the century started have grabbed 30+ rebounds.
This is one of those records that could be (somewhat easily) broken. However, the circumstances arent likely to happen. There are MANY players that have scored 25+ points per quarter. The highest of which is Klay Thompson's 37. Kobe's 81 and Robinson's 71 point games were blowouts. At a certain point they stopped trying to score and just did as the opposing teams just gave up. There is no reason it couldnt be broken, but you need a strong offensive player, a team who wants to feed him, a demoralized opposing team who gives up, and a coach who wont take that player out.
@@doodleee3 lebron career assists per game is currently 7.3 assists per game, he's behind stockton by 5,500 assists, he would need 753 games, or 9.1 seasons, so he'd have to still be playing when he's 48 or 49 years old at his current rate to break stocktons record.

Never forget game 7, Suns/Mavs. The Suns had the better team in every way. But they collectively decided they don't get paid enough to actually participate in 7 games in a row against the same team. So they went on strike, refusing to even play; setting the record for the shortest player's strike in sports history. I remember coach Monte pleading with his players to maybe pretend to try on some of the plays. But the Suns held strong to their commitment to quitting. Their boycott was effective; allowing a very average Mavs team to beat them by over 200pts in a pregame layup drill which lasted all game. In doing so, the Suns successfully proved their point, that they shouldn't be forced to participate in the playoffs. As a result, in the following years, the Suns have been allowed by the NBA to quit in the postseason, effectively becoming a defacto bye-week for whichever team draws their seed in the playoffs. It's a compromise which seemingly satisfies everyone. The superstars on the Suns get to start their off-season vacation early as usual; and their playoff opponents get to look forward to the next round. In this way, everyone wins. Adam Silver is expected to officially unveil the new rule allowing the Suns to opt out of participation in the playoffs sometime this season. However, it's all just a formality, as the Suns already do that every year anyways.
