Her playing piano has addictive qualities in it; she does not make mistakes and her hand movement is like water flowing in stream, so cool and so refreshing. I guess that's why she is the best.
This is so heart warming dialogue. I love this two ladies in their most humble, encouraging and affectionate way of their innerview that every one could have this chance to hear them. Thanks for posting.
Yes, you ARE in communication with the audiance and we with you. So wonderful. I can't help thinking that music is mankind's supreme achievement ... if I may put it that way.
Beautiful, most talented lady. Thank you so much for your hard work. Sure hope that some day you will come to Portland, OR., dang it anyway. All the very best for your very promising future !!!
That was a great in-depth interview. Thank you very much! The best bit for me is right at the end when Yeol-eum talks about how music is an essential and inseparable part of her life. The piano itself is the way by which she enters the lifestream of music. Music, for her, expresses life and feelings better than words can. Music can be an experience itself beyond words. I love also that she really aims to communicate with the listener through her playing.
Well you did it again Susan, you always bring out the best from your guests regardless of their given fields, it's really amazing and I am really impressed by your talent, you are the best and beautiful to boot ! Thank you, 수산씨 and, thank you 손 여름씨 you are a beautiful and very talented Pianist and I have enjoyed your innerview/ interview with Susan. Wishing you the very best!
Glad she lives in Hanover. The Germans also adore music! Most great composers, w notable exceptions, have been German-speaking. Glad too she hasn’t abandoned her Korean roots.
Es preciosa, encantadora. La primera vez que la escuché por este medio, me hizo llorar. Jamás vi a alguien tocar con esta intensidad, pasión y amor, el piano. Ella no tiene manos, son alas de ángel las que se deslizan en su piano.
So many seemingly enlightened people in the comment section focus on the smallest of details in this interview, like the interviewer calling pieces ''songs''. While people who know about classical music will obviously cringe, as did I, is it really a crucial factor of this interview? Stop being so elitist. I found the interviewer charming, and I was very happy to hear this interview. Son Yeol-eum is a very special pianist, and it's delightful to hear her speak about her career!
The Russians have always been open to any wonderful musician from any country. They love music so much, they sell out concerts & sit in the aisles! Their applause is explosive.
The south korea have a t limitless artist.Yeoi Eum son,Jo sung jin, Sim jun ho(chellist),,,,,,,More TalentWe are proud of them.Thank you so much.Biooming son..
Behind the ever smiling all American apple pie girl next door image lies a consummate interviewer. Yeol Eum Son comes across as a charming and extraordinarily gifted young woman of the world in full control of her life and ambitions.
she is Awesome, i also recommend the band Bebop they are from Korea too, 비밥. If she started to play at the age of 3 and a half, that indicates that she was already a musician in previous lives...
Finally around 37:15 sh starts getting a real musical questions. And I love her answers. Regarding difficult composers, her answer - "Beethoven" - is very revealing. Very similar to what a friend of mine once said: Mozart just took dictation from God, while Beethoven couldn't resist injecting his own personality into it. Son really gets Beethoven, which is important to me.
Music is often called a universal Language. But the Universe also is created - has a Creator. Even so this was a very expansive Interview, covering many interesting facets relating to the artist and music in general - one subject was never touched upon is the spiritual side of Yeol-eum Son, her understanding or relationship to God. Was this intentional, agreed upon before the interview? Was it an unspoken of Taboo? I imagine for some this is too intimate to touch upon - unfortunately.....
Is it just me, or does her accent seem to fade in and out? some words her English is perfect, and then distinctly Korean on others...might just be me...
She's a deeply beautiful and gifted classical pianist. Man her playing is intricate snd clear
The interviewer actually asks really good and thoughtful questions
Her playing piano has addictive qualities in it; she does not make mistakes and her hand movement is like water flowing in stream, so cool and so refreshing. I guess that's why she is the best.
What an apt description Musical grace at its best.
WinterSonata I mostly agree except that her left digital finger sometimes looks like a hook. You can’t hear any problems, thankfully.
Amazingly pianist. I love the way U perform with a nicest facial expression, Lady Son.

She is a very beautiful girl and very great pianist!
Courage and good lack.
Beautiful, smart, talented and thanks to RUclips total strangers are the benefactors. Hanover, here we come. Loved Masan, Korea
Watching her play, immersed in the music, silently singing, is delightful.
What an extraordinary repertoire and pianist.
Yeol is incredible..
She is so delightful
She has fantastic eyes! Never seen eyes quite like those before. Very special.
Everything I've heard played by Yeol Eum has been incomparable and unapproachable by any other mere mortal.
She's very skilled and... adorable!

Pardon me, do you know the name of the piece that is played just before the interview? Thank you.

So so pretty, Son Yeol-eum... I'll cheer you up!!!

Reincarnation is a FACT, sorry if you still don't know that, in any regression (hypnosis) you can prove that...

Andrew James Mozart’s personality is the soul of his music. She just has a direct line to it.
결코 평범하지 않다. 천재에서 대가가 될듯.
피마노도 잘하지만 영어도 참잘하네요

Why is her English so fluent
Call me Nutz, but this lady looks an plays a lot like like Lang Lang! NOTHING wrong with that!
+Mick Dunn ...the 'purists' will be after me like Hobos after a ham sandwich!
+Mick Dunn If you're LL it is, his gestures are unauthentic and reeks of look at me.
She is cute
Is it just me, or does her accent seem to fade in and out? some words her English is perfect, and then distinctly Korean on others...might just be me...
I want her
