Full Patch 1.12 en.bandainamcoent.eu/elden-ring/news/elden-ring-patch-notes-version-112 In Elden Ring Patch 1.12 newest build, there are quite a few interesting changes mains a lot of elden ring nerfs for pvp and pve. Some of the largest changes include being able to RIDE TORRENT in the elden beast fight now. Some weapons like Moonveil Darkmoon Greatsword and Blasphemous Blade have all been nerfed! Moonveil nerfed and deals less damage on its ash of war transient moonlight. Darkmoon greatsword nerfed poise damage on its ranged attack but buffed darkmoon greatsword poise damage on regular attacks, and the blasphemous blade nerf REMOVES the knock up effect of blasphemous blade! Comet Azure builds have also been nerfed indirectly by nerfing terra magica and nerfing the cerulean hidden tear aka infinite mana tear nerf. The jelly fish shield buff was also nerfed, and a lot more nerfs for elden ring pvp like a cooldown for madness and sleep builds. This means that once you proc madness or sleep against someone they gain immunity to all build up for a short duration... There are a lot of nerfs likely to offset the balance changes and new OP items that the elden ring dlc will add for new weapons spells and ash of wars in the dlc. Let me know what you guys think!

Literally 😭 It also doesn’t make sense that they nerfed the main point of the weapon(the projectile), but somehow made it stronger at point blank range(despite the fact that most people who use the DMGS are casters, and will be further away). 🥲
Their over-powerdness is what made them so fun to use. It is an RPG game, and if people want to use the broken weapons, then they should be allowed to. I honestly think that they made a balancing mistake with some of the bosses in the dlc, and nerfed the strongest weapons so that players wouldn’t be able to steamroll.

I don't understand why they wanna wait until 10 hours before the dlc releases to take your payment for the dlc. I've waited since March for the payment to be made, of course when it goes to come off my bank account, it waits until I had all my bills come out of my bank account. Had to transfer money to cover it when it could have come out of my account back in March when I pre-ordered the dlc. 9 hours to go
All these nerfs the day of the dlc release is wack ganna ruin so maybe build ppl made and planned on using for dlc they should be dine thus a week earlier

Fixed a bug where the spectral steed did not trigger a death fall under certain circumstances. I believe this means all falling out of map glitches are gone...
I know I'm late to the debate, but wanted to add evidence for the "final boss" of the dlc leak being real. We see it's remembrance being called "Remembrance of a God and a Lord" which is also a wording chosen by Bandai for promoting the new trailer "Witness the birth of a God. The coming of a Lord". Don't know if this has been mentioned (if it has, sorry for repeating) but seems a bit too similar for a coincidence.
Radagon/Elden beast was never a problem tbh cause he's the final boss, so he's supposed to be hard. This is just insane. Devs making the game easy for new players lol
To be honest, In some way shape or form I had a feeling FS was going to do some sort of patch that would do something to builds. That's why I ignore a lot of the "Do this to prepare..." or "Builds to take for the DLC" and I'm glad I did bc now this patch made a lot of changes and thankfully my build and weapons I'm using didn't get much changes or any. I normally like to use Strength and Dex/faith and decided to ignore the popular weapons for a long time and just use the ones I liked and worked for me. Now I don't have to worry about this patch, if only the good ones like the Colossal weapons that got buffed. I can't wait to play the DLC
I use a Dark Moon Greatsword/frost mage build, so I’m relieved they didn’t nerf my weapon into the ground. I can absolutely live without the poise damage.
Wish they wouldve just nerfed comet azur directly if they found it problematic. I used this flask for all my caster builds in general for quality of life and after animations it doesnt even feel worth using anymore compared to other defensive buffs that feel like they last for an eternity.
Bubble shower got nerfed a lot. The damage look like it was halved, same with the poise damage. Blasphemous blade still does the same damage, just no knock down.
They added torrent and now all the elden beast does is jump from one side of the map to other and by the time you get there even with torrent he is moving to the other side.
To be honest, I'm not thrilled about the Torrent inclusion. Changing it after all this time makes the fight feel like it wasn't thought-out or balanced to begin with. I think Elden Beast is a fine boss. Its main flaw was never the omission of Torrent, because he makes every fight less fun, but rather it was having to fight Radagon beforehand every time.
I agree with this change. Elden Beast was consistently the most, hated boss because he was always swimming around and flying away, and you had to chase them around the arena like a crazy person. I'm glad they realized torrent should have been able to be used
do they actually mean poise damage or stance damage as in poise refers to flinching and stance referrs to being able to critical hit when the enemies stance is broken
1. The Dark Moon Greatsword was barely nerfed, literally just having the projectile's poise damage decreased to increase the blade's 2. Sorceries were actually buffed, aside from comet azur and terra magica, the scaling for multiple staves was increased, meaning spells will do more damage
@poliorice3600 1. that is the point you missed the projectile of the sword is the main source of damage its supposed to be used at a distance 2. Comet azur and tera magica are now completely useless people don't realize that the nerf to them is way to hight to the point tera magica is no longer worth using in general because it was a risk reward spell were the damage was worth the risk of having to stand still but now the nerf wich is so much higher than people think it is made it basically weaker then a talisman and with restricted mobility and the cerulean tear is also not useful anymore because 10 seconds is absolutely nothing when you remember that all the good spells have a charge time that leads to you only being able to get 1-3 extra spells wich at that point it's better to refill

The damage of the projectile is the exact same, the poise damage was reduced but at close range it actually does MORE poise damage than before, it is my most used weapon in Elden Ring and I can say it is still utterly ridiculous 2. All of those are still very strong, just not the instant win button they were before. You can still cast terra magica and spam shard spiral to melt giant bosses, you can still destroy everything with the most overpowered spell, night comet, in fact, with the buffs to staves, those spells should actually be STRONGER than before, just because you can't rely on just comet azur or meteorite of astel doesn't mean it was a bad change, you're just mad that you may need to include something like commander's standard to melt bosses

It's still forcing you to get up close to the target with a charge attack that takes too long to hit up close making it too risky to try the charge attack because either they are just going to walk through the projectile or your going to get hit before you finish holding the charge attack and get knocked out of it because it happened to me multiple times meaning not only do I get hit I don't even get the pay off 2. Meteorite of astel dispite looking the coolest was sadly completely useless without the cerulean tear because it only did "decent" damage against monsters that were 5 times your size and it didn't move now it may as well not exist anymore and how exactly are any if the sorceries stronger? You keep saying the others were buffs but from what I saw in the patch notes none of them were buff it was just a massive nerf by getting rid of the only 2 things that actually gave use to a lot of them
The blasphemous blade was as close to easy mode as I found in that game. I deliberately stayed away from it on the last playthrough but I bet the nerf is going to really annoy some people
Yeah, that's what I'm guessing. It really sucks for those players who used those weapons. Thankfully I only focus on strength and GS/colossal weapons. Thankfully they didn't touch most of those in a bad way.

Gotta beat Melania a couple more times now without the chain stagger of blasphemous blade, they could have waited until I was done prepping for the dlc
I'm pretty sure you can still just grab great stars and slap on prelate's charge, or just get good at dodging her attacks and use freezing pots to negate waterfowl dance
I agree!! So many of these weapons caused no issues whatsoever. I just think fromsoft is being lazy and, instead of adjusting the bosses of the DLC, they are just nerfing the strongest weapons to make it to where people don’t trivialize the DLC on launch 🥲
Isn’t this kinda slimy? They let streamers and RUclipsrs review/ experience the dlc without these nerfs. In order for the reviews to be good, Knowing that the good reviews would gather last minute purchases. Fromsoft have kinda disappointed me with this one… I think I’ll buy “still wakes the deep” instead.
Have you watched the streamers play throughs? Most of them picked up new stuff to use as soon as they found something. These nerfs do so little realistically.

So out of the remembrance weapons black blade and mohg spear are now the best. Especially if the dlc bosses would not have big holy resistance I think the Black blade might be the best remembrance weapon.

The nerfs are bull. Patches are supposed to fix game breaking mistskes, not change things that aren't gltches or bugs. I'm tired of all my builds being killed of one by one because developers aren't happy with what they coded. Why do I have to play a different game than I purchased?

I'd like to bring up Ordovis' Greatsword, it does ridiculous damage and poise damage without costing much fp and granting crazy hyper armor, a fully charged l2 and a single r1 would instantly stagger Malenia, and it's somehow untouched
@@poliorice3600 I believe the important bit there is “fully charged” - Malenia as an example specifically is pretty mobile. If she just back steps once during the charge animation, that attack misses and she has a nice wide opening. You’re right though, it’s got some pretty great damage. On some slower bosses, it would absolutely destroy.

it really doesn't matter hardly at all, Miyazaki was upset seeing Melania bullied, thrown about and didn't want to see it happen to Rellana or any of the other small bosses in the DLC.
Guys how big is this update on PS5 cuz I downloaded yesterday the dlc who was like 16 gb and the update from today is like 15 gb. Is that way for everyone?
Sonaf was nerfed into the ground early on, and only barely buffed enough to be good at very high levels, it was, at one point, the strongest weapon in the game, I'd say it's at a good spot

They added this at the perfect time, I’ve been trying to best radagon/elden beast for 5 days, and I’ve mainly struggled on Elden beast 😭

man I just recently finished my release day main acc on ng+7... every time I felt like Torrent missing from the fight was like a development mistake
Moonlight GS projectile was such a great poise breaker actually Sorc build was best at it.

All good if it's for PvP, but why pve also tho, some of us just want to enjoy and chill, not all want to compete. The nerf on pve is so unnecessary

Yeah, that's what I'm guessing. It really sucks for those players who used those weapons. Thankfully I only focus on strength and GS/colossal weapons. Thankfully they didn't touch most of those in a bad way.
They’re not nerfed into the ground, still S tier, just no longer as broken. I’ll still use them

I'm pretty sure you can still just grab great stars and slap on prelate's charge, or just get good at dodging her attacks and use freezing pots to negate waterfowl dance

I agree!! So many of these weapons caused no issues whatsoever. I just think fromsoft is being lazy and, instead of adjusting the bosses of the DLC, they are just nerfing the strongest weapons to make it to where people don’t trivialize the DLC on launch 🥲

Isn’t this kinda slimy? They let streamers and RUclipsrs review/ experience the dlc without these nerfs. In order for the reviews to be good, Knowing that the good reviews would gather last minute purchases. Fromsoft have kinda disappointed me with this one… I think I’ll buy “still wakes the deep” instead.
Have you watched the streamers play throughs? Most of them picked up new stuff to use as soon as they found something. These nerfs do so little realistically.

So out of the remembrance weapons black blade and mohg spear are now the best. Especially if the dlc bosses would not have big holy resistance I think the Black blade might be the best remembrance weapon.
Canonically speaking, Marikas Hammer, The Black Blade, and the Sacred Relic Swords should be the most powerful remembrance weapons 😁

As an INT main it was absolutely OP. Same with moonveil and blasphemous blade completely brainless.
Only on the projectile, you can poise even harder at point plank.

The nerfs are bull. Patches are supposed to fix game breaking mistskes, not change things that aren't gltches or bugs. I'm tired of all my builds being killed of one by one because developers aren't happy with what they coded. Why do I have to play a different game than I purchased?

I still maintain they have no right to change what I paid for. I'll cry for the days when players took games as is without feeling entitled to it molding around their world... not.

I’m genuinely so surprised how long this has slipped under the radar. Probably one of the easiest boss killing weapons in the game.
I'd like to bring up Ordovis' Greatsword, it does ridiculous damage and poise damage without costing much fp and granting crazy hyper armor, a fully charged l2 and a single r1 would instantly stagger Malenia, and it's somehow untouched
@@poliorice3600 I believe the important bit there is “fully charged” - Malenia as an example specifically is pretty mobile. If she just back steps once during the charge animation, that attack misses and she has a nice wide opening. You’re right though, it’s got some pretty great damage. On some slower bosses, it would absolutely destroy.
@TrippyTimesTwo in my experience, Malenia stepping back didn't actually save her, since the attack has decent range and lasts for a while

That’s what I think, too. I am hoping that a lot of these changes are temporary(so that people don’t steamroll the dlc), but will be reverted later on. Either that, or some of the weapons we get in the dlc will be so strong that they compensate for these nerfs 😓😅

it really doesn't matter hardly at all, Miyazaki was upset seeing Melania bullied, thrown about and didn't want to see it happen to Rellana or any of the other small bosses in the DLC.

Sonaf was nerfed into the ground early on, and only barely buffed enough to be good at very high levels, it was, at one point, the strongest weapon in the game, I'd say it's at a good spot

@@user-mf1lo5fj6s it's only top 5 in ng+, because you are not getting good use out of it on a standard new game unless you're already at a high level, because many other weapons have a much higher dps far earlier
