Is there a left handed interface like Procreate? I enjoy sketching in Sketchbook, but it gets annoying having to hide all of the menus all the time before I draw. There also seems to be no way to move around the tool boxes/menus. 😢
Great pace for someone like me who’s using Procreate on a regular basis but want to know my way around an app to recommend for Android users as well. It depends on the tablet. I'm only familiar with the iPad where you swipe from the bottom and then you see all the apps that are open and swipe the ones away you want to close. I don't know how other tablets work.

1) This was the iPad Pro 2018 version 2) Nope I draw straight on the screen without any sort of protector 3) it's called a smudge guard, you can get it from amazon or local art supply store

Thank you. Sadly I am not familiar with the android version but I’m sure it is working similar to the apple version. If you go to Colors and the the swatches button(middle one out of the 3 on the top) there should be two arrows in the bottom middle that will let you switch between your swatches, create your own and also extract from images and photos. That should solve your problem.

There is no more Copic color palette. Autodesk had the deal with Copic but ever since Sketchbook left Autodesk they don't have the rights to that. But they have a vatuaty collection of colors swatches on ipdad under the colors tab that does the same thing exactly

Well, crap, this is the larger screen rendering. I just started the small screen (phone) version and hell if I can even guess how to undo my last step. So frustrated. Tried swiping in from every edge. No dice. Tried every one of the 6 icons it shows on the first screen, no dice. UGH.
I'm going to be sending this message around. I don't have a RUclips channel, not going to make one but I found out something new in sketchbook. In advanced sketches setting, you can click on shape and change the shape of your brush. I don't know if some people knows this but😱.

If you mean the copic swatches those were licensed under autodesk sketchbook. Ever since sketchbook left autodesk they don't have the license anymore to those.
Though this is a good introductary tutorial. It's very hard to grasp all the tools at one time. I think its better to introduce a a set. of few tools and let me get used to it and then go to next set. It would be easier for me to learn.
It's a nice app, but the only issue I have is zooming in or out. most of the time it doesn't work and when it finally does I end up with all these lines I gotta erase afterwards. Anyone know how to fix this?
@@robertlkiss Idk how to reach support. But when I pinch to zoom in or out it will just draw instead and it take 2-3 times to get it to move most the time
@@laelaisasome Go to preferences and make sure pen mode is activated also enabling multi touch gestures. That is the only thing I can think of that might be wrong for you.
When we do Sketch and Shading in different layers, how can we move and transform multiple layers ( sketch layer and shading layer ) together without merging ?
@@robertlkiss I think this is what he means: In your tutorial, you had (previously) selected a pen and an eraser at the same time. You showed us how you can double tap the side of the pencil to toggle between the pen and eraser selection, but you did not show how it is possible to select both pen and eraser and set them up for the act of simultaneous/toggle use. I am only able to select/save one at a time. If I choose the pencil, I lose the eraser. If I choose the eraser, I lose the pencil. I cannot "permanently" select them both at the same time. But it is clear to the viewer, that you have found a way. Please show us how you did that.

Double tap will switch between the last two selected brushes. I suaully make sure to select a brush and an eraser but you can also select one brush and then a different brush and then double tap will switch between those two brushes. I am really confused about how you could ahve to brushes selected at teh same time since in real life you also only hold one brush in your hand you ahve to let go of the brush to selct another one.

I'm really liking Sketchbook, it's such a direct software app. I wish the mobile and desktop had all the same features though mainly for grids.

In iPad you just split the screen like you would do with any other app. I have no experience with android devices.

Yes for sure. There are many cloud storage applications you can use google drive, dropbox etc.

Sadly I have absolutely no idea. I know drawing tables work with Android phones but I don't know about Apple.
For some reason there’s no copic section on my iPad
The reason is that Sketchbook parted ways with Autodesk and Autodesk was the one who had the copic license.

How does one resize canvas after it’s been created?
Autocad sketchbook does not have the copic feature any longer?
Because Autocad sketchbook doesn't exist anymore. Sketchbook left Autocad it's its own company now, and the copic license stayed with Autocad.

Sadly I'm not familiar with the android version but it shouldn't be different. Take a look at the options if it is maybe disabled.
