I found the album overall to be very exact to what I expected. In other words, I feel that, while I still love this stuff, chugchugchugchugHARMONICS is only gonna work for a band for so long. This song completely changes that. One of TAS's most creative songs ever, especially the guitar work towards the end.
Well at @00:26 there's a groove riff that repeats 2 times. At @00:49 a breakdown comes. At @01:10 there's a chorus, with chords and ringing notes. Then at @01:32 the groove riff comes back. At @01:53 another breakdown comes. Then again at @02:20 the chorus comes back. At @02:41 there's a simple but melodic solo. Then destruction comes after. There you go.
I used to put this on on my morning rush hour commute and imagine working my way from end of the carriage to the other, indiscriminately, with zero mercy. Happy times.
This sounds amazing to me. Music is art, and art varies. This form of art expresses turmoil and chaos, but also resolution, repetition, and harmonic motion. The incredible "chugging" rhythms are indicative of life's perpetual movement forward; the melodic breaks that the chorus provides (along with the "solo") reminds listeners that the rhythmic constancy, that can be repetitive and even boring, is broken up by the harmonious melodies of life's song. The dichotomy makes each half whole.
In Tampa, probably everywhere else too, but I'm from Tampa. Every single time they play here people get seriously harmed lmfao, it's ALMOST not even funny. And when Vincent starts throwing water on the floor, you might as well kiss your ass goodbye because people are falling and getting their ass whooped and slipping all over the place for the last portions of their set lol.
True. Crowd goes crazy and Vincent throws water fucking everywhere. I caught a bottle he threw full force into the crowd. Dumped it on my face and continued to be possessed. Fun
This music is fun, no one is claiming it to be a musical oddity or greatness, this is your generic deathcore/metal. Its nice to listen to when I'm walking from point A to point B, working out or when I've had enough Mars Volta or Stolas for the day. Its just mindless chugging and heavy vocals, if you don't like it then fine, but don't come in here mocking everyone like an idiot.
"If your life depended on me I don't know if I would save you. I would rather see the sadness in your eyes as I let you die." Who else went ape shit? I did. Kicked my computer chair and went crazy.
OMG!@ That fucking lead part around the 3 minute time section of this song is leterally the most epic shit in the universe I have ever heard!@ Good 'ol ACACIA pioneering simple with genius every albom.. Holy Shit
all the people complaining about melody... do u even hear the chorus line in the instruments? this has to be the most melodic TAS song i've ever heard. lol
nor have you ever been in a band thats trying to make a living....if you're an underground band trying to make a living off of music and you get an opportunity to tour with a well known band, OF COURSE YOU'LL TOUR WITH THEM.
There are millions of people out there who comprise a massive worldwide subculture and every single one of them would be more than willing to tell you that you're wrong.. Judging by the comment section of this video i would assume that even you understand that by now.
I love that they purposely get so fuckin brutal.. just cause they can...I dig it!! It may sound boring to some but shit.. thats why theres other bands to listen to out there..
if you even listen to 'shuggah and even listened to TAS relatively you wouldn't find one link between them at all that is really similar apart from djent sound.
I know this is a seven year old comment but Mouth of the River literally tributes Meshuggah’s Minds Mirrors. Unabomber from Wormwood sounds exactly like a Meshuggah song. They’ve listed Meshuggah as an influence since the MySpace days lol idk why people still say this.
Really? the only DITOM stuff I have seen played live on youtube were on 6 strings. Glad they are using 8's for concerts. 6 strings still ruin Wormwood though, their best album in my opinion
This album + car ride home from shitty day of work = pure bliss.
Did this just today
This is the most melodic song I've ever heard from them
Smoke Ya Later
The Behemoth
Wilson Jimenez halycon listen to all she wrote that is there best album imo reminds me of high scool days
SlipknotWarfare73 Should've been later on the track list, in my opinion.
Needs more cowbell, except the cowbell should be a human skull.
u made my day :D
Tanner Thomas agreed a human skull
Hands down my favorite song by them and I've listened to every album they have made 🤘
I love the music DL wrote but their new guitarist has pushed their live performance to the next level. Really happy with the direction they're going
My favorite song on this album. Yea it's 2021 I still jam to this shit lol
End of may 2023. Blowing my speakers to this
In my opinion, this is the best song on the album. Love it!
It is..... imo as well so good.

I absolutely love this song
I feel like every time they hits their guitars in this song, it's like lightning is striking.

I still haven't seen them live but I'm sure the crowd goes crazy to this one

It's all really good. Honestly. Continent, wormwood. All great as well

"If your life depended on me I don't know if I would save you.
I would rather see the sadness in your eyes as I let you die."
Who else went ape shit? I did. Kicked my computer chair and went crazy.
I think this is one of the most beautiful lyrics ever written

This is my favorite song of the album. 3:22 is just so sick
Mad0racle you mean the part where they do that sound they put in every other song?
I cant decide if i like this or not.
That chorus and solo was the mist beautiful thing I've ever heard this band make; everything else is just bad ass, not too beautiful.
Song is great!!!!
Damn, the sound of that bass guitar c;
best song on the album
@ 1:32 that guitar groove is fucking weird heavy and I love it. Then 1:50 ish that other groove comes in and busts it buts all over my ears. 😌
nuts*...or butts* even. it's fucking sex.
Cant wait for the 2023 double album :)
The album is played with 8 string guitars, but get a thick enough string (maybe a .75 from a bass) and tune down to drop E.
Would love an instrumental.
OMG!@ That fucking lead part around the 3 minute time section of this song is leterally the most epic shit in the universe I have ever heard!@ Good 'ol ACACIA pioneering simple with genius every albom.. Holy Shit
So much great art is dismissed because of the superficial media-driven labels assigned to them and accepted a priori by so many people.
Wow. This Behemoth of a song is so Beast. Sounds like a Tactical Nuke tearing down the Balboa Towers. JFC.
fav song off the album
My dream concert would be Dying Fetus, Acacia Strain, Slaughter to Prevail, Nile, and Ulcerate. I'd die a happy man.
This is pry my fave track off the new album
best breakdown on album
Its not about how heavy the song is, just Fuckin enjoy it.
dimebag would be proud
yup
Yes
all the people complaining about melody... do u even hear the chorus line in the instruments? this has to be the most melodic TAS song i've ever heard. lol
I think the best part of this song is from 2:19-3:00

This song is me, completely!
THIS IS 1,000,000,000,000,000 TIMES HEAVIER THAN ALL OF THEM
1:10 serious KSE vibes, so good.

Oh my fuck, this is amazing
felt my brain cells die while reading this omg
ok seriously how do they make their breakdowns sound like that? So chunky and mean
Austin Carlile has melody in his voice?
if you even listen to 'shuggah and even listened to TAS relatively you wouldn't find one link between them at all that is really similar apart from djent sound.

Wow it seems like I'd get a ton of hate if I said I'm and OM&M fan and actually love this shit right here too
I sang this song to my girlfriend and her facial expression was priceless I did my best to sound like Vincent.
Just hope you still cringe when thinking about this.
No one better be hating on Meshuggah!!!! This band is probably the closest to them via "heaviness".
"Fight me" over the internet does not prove your "strength" if that's what you want to call it.
For a minute it sounds like Zakk Wylde picked up an 8 string, played a verse, then gave it back.
I agree, i think if anything he is saying what God would say. i always say he sounds like the voice of God
they probably put on a good show live though ill give em that
what's the tuning on the guitars for this?
drop fucking Z. They literally asked Satan how he tunes his and he told them
+micahfreakinhissong hell yeah. \m/
Grayson Lucas drop f
Drop a
3:07 ....god damnnnn!

Someone buy this man a beer.
That one's deep.
DON'T LET ME GET IN YOUR HEAD!
debatable
EPICNESS *O*
He listens to Of Mice & Men take it easy on him bigguy;)
18 people had this song sang to them
THIS IS HEAVIER THAN ALL THREE OF THEM LOL
what is the tuning for this (7 string)
Most Rise bands don't have eight string chugs bro haha. But I agree, Pantera still makes some bands look soft. Not Acacia, but most on Rise for sure
3:49 Holy Fucking Goddamn
