I've been in photography for nearly 3 decades. Started with film(Nikon F5) and moved to digital at almost the same pace as time moved on.
Today I still have my Nikon F5 and mostly favour digital with the Nikon Z9.
I had my eye on the Fujifilm digital medium format since day one, but thought they could do better. Time usually fixes that and with the launch of the Fujifilm GFX 100 II there isn't a doubt in my mind that the time has finally come. To that end, I ordered mine promptly, with 4 lenses that suit my needs and started shooting like there is no tomorrow!...because there may not be! LOL.
I am not a professional(I used to be). I am a very serious Amateur with access to credit loans! LOL
I am using the camera mainly for Street Photography and it is absolutely incredible! What Fujifilm have done with this camera really and truly is, bringing Medium Digital Format 'to the masses'...that can afford it and, most importantly, are willing to spend the money.
In any case, loved the video, love the camera!

Great review! You have managed to take stunning photos, and the video clips are incredibly soothing and impressive. This camera is a game-changer for Fujifilm, and it will undoubtedly give competitors a tough time. Fujifilm has done an excellent job with all the video features, and they deserve full marks for it. Other companies will now have to follow Fujifilm's footsteps. As a proud owner of various Fujifilm cameras, I have been using them for over 25 years now. Although I loved using Fujifilm GFX 100S, this new GFX 100SII is the ultimate camera!
Needed a proper door on the left, not flexible covers. Totally agree about having 2 CFExpress cards; plus it could have a higher capacity battery.
The massive improvement to auto focus over the 100 and 100S makes the upgrade a no brainer.

@@WilkinsonCameras I totally understand, yesterday was a month since I got the GFX100II too and it's incredible. The only problem that I noticed, and with me and many other photographers, is the graying and loss of the image in the EVF when the flash trigger is deployed. Do you also have this problem and what trigger are you using?
@@Martinmkp sorry for the slow reply - had a lot going on as you’ll have seen with our latest releases! That’s really interesting… we didn’t notice that happening 🤔
We were using Elinchrom lighting with an Elinchrom Skyport trigger.
We can ask the question at Fujifilm if you like? Can you just give a few more details about the experience. We may be able to get an answer.

Hi, so glad we’ve inspired you! We styled the shoot ourselves and directed an MUA towards the types of makeup looks we wanted. She got it spot on. You can find her on Insta @byshannonjohnston - would recommend if you’re Liverpool or surrounding areas.
Ella, our model, works with me (Alex) and Olivia and the three of us make up the Wilkinson Cameras marketing team! This makes it very easy to work together because we get on very well and can come up with great ideas as a team.
We had some looks and styles in mind, put some mood boards together, then did a big high street haul to finalise the looks for the day.
We’d been told of a roof top car park location where you could see the Liverpool skyline so we started there - bonus points for it just being up the road from our Liverpool store & studio… but it turned out you couldn’t see the skyline because of the massive walls… but the great light that day (plus a reflector) shapes of the concrete and the fact that no one else had driven to the top floor meant it worked out really well anyway.
We then did some bits on the street on the way to the studio and shot in the studio for a while with a few different outfits and light setups (including some nice coloured gels).
Then I nipped into town while Olivia and Ella headed back to the car… we’d arranged to meet back up after unloading all our spare gear and get some golden hour shots around the city. But fate stepped in with the most magical lighting in the car park and I returned to an amazing set of photos and video. So we carried on shooting here until the light faded.
Sometimes when you go out with a plan you’re either forced to adapt if it doesn’t work out or you naturally adapt to work with what the light and surroundings are doing… which is exactly what we ended up doing that day and it worked out so well 😊

The flash sync speed is 160, which for me might be a dealbreaker. Unless, does the exposure triangle change with medium format?

Thank you! You didn't miss it, we didn't specifically mention it, but you can power using an external power source via the USB-C, including external power packs, etc. 🙂

How can you charge all three batteries at the same time? Do you plugin the whole camer with grip for charging?
Hi, thanks for watching - yes, just charge it in-camera using the USB-C and a decent powered plug :)

Image quality seems a little flat from 100 II.

Check your facts. Current Hasselblads use same size sensor. It’s definitely the most versatile medium format camera, contenders are far behind.

Does Fujifilm gfx 100 II support wireless 5G ftp? Sony a1, a7rv, a7c and Canon r5 support 5g ftp 🥰🥰🥰Canon r6 supports only 2.4ghz ftp Disappointingly Nikon Z9 doesn't support wireless ftp at all 😂😂😂
It’s IEEE802.11a / 5Ghz Wi-Fi with wireless FTP functionality. Just to confirm that the Nikon Z9 does support wireless FTP with its built-in wireless file transmitter and is also 5Ghz.
