Beautiful example of an original EH holden, the actual color is Mita Green with Fowlers Ivory Roof. Great video thank you for sharing it with all of us.

I grew up in an HR Premier! Mum's car. It was the 80s so never realised it was a special edition, was already a couple decades old by then. She had it for almost 20 years, and I remember always helping dad fix her up if anything went wrong. It was converted into a delivery vehicle for Mum's wholesale health foods deliveries... no rear seats. My brother and I would lie down in the back with pillows and roll around playing corners, getting picked up from school. Seat belts? I think they came a bit later 🙃
I made a trip recently to the Holden Museum in Echuca to reminisce over the old designs and smells of the interior! It was a super place, highly recommend.
Thanks for sharing boys! An important dash down memory lane for many Australians!

Fond memories of my first car EH special sedan, 149 cubic inch 3 speed manual. I put front seat belts in mine and 6 inch Chrome wheels. I purchased mine in 1976

The introduction of the red motor was a revelation, stronger, more powerful and smoother.

Great to see survivor cars. My earliest memories of Mum’s car was being inside the HR wagon.

Loving the reviews with Michael & you Stu and his lovingly kept cars. I have used vulcanising patches and they work amazingly well. Looking forwards to seeing Mark back too, but please do more with Michael in the future

Great review. Elbow out the window though . . . Naughty boy lol.

Yes Mike make me do that. Right elbow out the window, and left hand on top of the wheel, hand inside the rim. It's a good thing Mark wasn't there or there would have been strife.

My first car, bought in 1971, but it was a sedan with 179 and Hydramatic but same colour and with the white roof. Memories!

My brother's one was also a Hytraumatic as we called it.

@@inCARnationAustralia haha, I called it Hydraspastic. Had a Torana LX Hatch with 253 and Trimatic, which shat itself and had to be rebuilt. I called that the Traumatic.

I had many EH Holdens wish I had kept them all. If they made them today they would sell like hot cakes.

My EH wagon has almost as long history in my family. Mum and Dad bought it in 1970. was given to me 1981, back to mum 86 then mine again 1996. 179 Hydramatic(now Trimatic) A few more options than this one, factory heater, radio, hand brake light ect.

i took over our family EH 149 special wagon for a long time. Red with a white roof. Coming home from a footy match along the geelong road a mate vomited out the passenger window and it blew back in the rear window at 60mph. Lots of complaining but we just hosed her out and all was good. Never be able to afford another one though.
