I live in the city she grew up in. Portland Maine. I also live about a half mile from one of the private schools she went to. I forget what town her mom lives in now. Steven at one time was a silent partner of a little high end diner about a five minute walk from where I live.
It really does relate well to a parent and child relationship. Diane Warren got the actual inspiration when she watched a Barbara Walter’s interview with Streisand and James Brolin. James said about Barbra “he didn’t want to miss a thing”, and she wrote down for future use.
Ironically appropriate, since his daughter Liv Tyler is shown at the end of the video touching the screen where Steven’s image has replaced the film’s footage of Bruce Willis, who plays her dad in the movie. In real life Steven missed a lot of Liv’s childhood because he was a drug addict when she was born so Todd Rundgren, who had been seeing her mom, signed the birth certificate. Liv didn’t meet Steven until she was about eight years old and didn’t find out he was her biological father until she was ten and he was just out of rehab. They are very close now and he has an active role in her kids’ lives as well.
@@terri2494 The ironic part of that was her mom & the man she thought was her dad at the time never told her that Steven was her father. She literally saw him performing on TV one time, noticed the similarities and at 10 years old actually turned to her mom and asked "Is Steven my dad?"
The actress Liv Tayler is Steven Tyler’s daughter he found out later in life! He says as soon as he saw her he could not deny her! I love this movie so much! It sad to see Bruce Willis going through his very public health issues! He is a great person and a huge part of my childhood! Who remembers moonlighting? If you know you know!!! 😊
Why can't you believe they still let Janie's Got A Gun play? Even way back when it first came out, we knew what it was about (I had to be under 10). They still play Hey Man Nice Shot (and that's based on a true event).
The brunette in the film clip and the movie is Stephen Tyler’s illegitimate love child. When she found out he was her father she wanted to meet him and took his name. But had no interest in his money. Instead she went on to forge a career as an actress after modelling from the age of 14. Her father’s genes made her uniquely beautiful which forged her success.
The final scene of the music video mirrors an emotional scene in Armageddon. Liv Tyler, the actress is Steven Tyler's daughter, but in the movie she caresses the TV screen before Bruce Willis, her father in the movie, passes away and says his goodbye on screen.
One other fact, Todd Rundgren signed Liv’s birth certificate and took care of her as his own, ensured her environment was healthy and paid for her education. Todd Rundgren is a genius musician, singer-songwriter, multi instrumentalist and major music producer. He has been at it since 1960’s.
They don’t look alike but they have the big lips and some facial similarities. Tyler doesn’t exactly have Jagger’s signature strut but he’s every bit as flamboyant.
I get why people see a physical similarity except, in my opinion, Steven is much better looking, but I’ve never understood why people think they sound alike , the only similarities in their music is that they both are heavily blues influenced and they are in the rock genre. But the voices are extremely different and the way they play music is different.
That is the way I always took it as well. When my first daughter was born my now exwife always sang it to her. This song always tears me up because of that.
My pops was my best friend and my rock. He took care of and supported me my whole life. I was always his baby even into adulthood. When i was 38 he got cancer. We found out it was stage 4 metastasized kidney cancer, so it had already spread thru his whole body especially to his lungs. Doctors said he had 6 months to a year to live. I quit my job and became his full time caregiver. I watched him become weaker with LITERALLY minute and he suffered so much pain and struggled so bad just to breathe because of the size of the tumors in his chest. He was on 18 medications that I had to administer at different times in most cases multiple times a day. He was on oxygen and I had to test his oxygen levels constantly to make sure they didnt drop below a certain level. As the cancer took over his brain he became more and more confused and sometimes didnt know who I was but he always trusted me and knew I was taking care of him. The last movie we watched together before he died was Armageddon. The scene where Liv Tyler has to say goodbye to her dad tore me up and I had to literally jump up and run to the bathroom to cry because I never let him see me cry the entire time I took care of him. It was so hard and I honestly only slept maybe an hour or two a day because I had to constantly watch over him to make sure he was getting enough oxygen and to give him his medication and try to alleviate his pain as much as possible. So the line in the song "I could stay awake just to hear you breathing" hit me so hard because that's EXACTLY what I did. "Every moment spent with you is a moment I treasure, don't want to close my eyes. Dont want to fall asleep cause id miss you baby and I Dont want to miss a thing" feels like it was a line straight from my soul. I didnt want to miss a thing because I knew he was not long for this world. He was given 6-12 months to live but died exactly a month after we found out his diagnosis. The night he died I knew it was happening and I sat with him and because our love of music was always something that we shared i played him his favorite songs. This song was one I played as I held his hand and told him I loved him so so much. It was one of the hardest and saddest moments of my life but I am so grateful I was able to be there with him. This song is not one I can listen to very often but it is one of the most meaningful songs in my life and it made me really happy to see you react to it. Im from albuquerque and relate to the stories you tell about your family and background. Much love to you from tha 505.

The actress in Armageddon is Steven Tyler's daughter. Steven has the absolute perfect rock voice as far as I'm concerned! The actress in the videos back in the day was Alicia Silverstein.
This is a song written by Diane Warren. Liv Tyler (Steven Tyler's daughter) plays Bruce Willis' daughter in Armageddon. They wanted Aerosmith to do the song, but they said no. Liv showed her Dad the movie and he said in an interview when she touches the video screen and says "Daddy" is when he said "Fine! I'll do the song!" One of my favorite song back stories ever.

I used to sing this song to my daughter when she was a baby because it was the only song I knew all of the lyrics to without the music playing. It turned out to be a beautiful lullaby when you think of it in the sense of a parent.
The blonde in his music videos was Alicia Silverstone. The brunette was Liv Tyler...the lead singers daughter. This song was made for the movie Armageddon. I love this band! You have to listen to their song "Amazing". Great great song!!! BTW, Steven Tyler is so much older than me, but there is something about him that makes him so sexy to me. Just the way he moves. So sexy!!! And his voice... So perfectly imperfect. Also, your channel is absolutely perfect for someone like me. I listen to so many different genres of music, and you have a great mix of everything. And it's so cool watching you discover all this music that I've loved for so many years.
Iconic band, phenomenal catalog. This song is a great song to dance to, along with Bryan Adams' "EVERYTHING I DO" and Neil Young's "HARVEST MOON". And "MORNING DESIRE" by Kenny Rogers, and Richard Marx's "RIGHT HERE WAITING", and... well, maybe a few dozen more. Better start a "Great Songs To Dance To" playlist.

Loved your reaction again on this one. These love songs always result in you talking about your love for your wife and children. You totally understand that they are a treasure in your life and that God is your Shepherd. You really are a wonderful guy BP. This song HAS to be on your playlist!! 😊
This song came out a few weeks before I gave birth to my first child and every night when I had to get up for that 2 AM feeding, this song ran through my head as I stared at my newborn son. It will always hold that special meaning to me, and every time I hear it I am immediately brought back to those moments, even though he is now almost 26 years old and living on his own, living his own life, I hear this song and I see his beautiful little baby face. Fun fact, the actress in Armageddon is Liv Tyler, Steven Tyler's daughter, so that last scene with her crying and touching the computer screen with Steven's face on it is extra.
Look at your baby girl and then remember this song. He was singing to his daughter which is why they changed the video last scene to her seeing Steven on the screen where in the movie she was seeing Bruce (her dad in the movie).
I'll tell you what movies in the 80s and 90s had amazing soundtracks top gun, footloose, dazed and confused, Armageddon..just all throughout the 2 decades. Was inspiring and just beautiful
It was Alicia Silverstone that starred in a trilogy of Aerosmith videos in 1994 "Cryin'", "Amazing", and "Crazy". Crazy also featured Liv Tyler, Steven Tyler's daughter, who starred in "Armageddon" as the daughter of Bruce Willis's character.
Lost my mom to cancer 3 years ago at 2 weeks before her 50th birthday on easter, she went home ot be with the Lord. im only 32 mind you and i have a 16yr old sister.. which was even rougher for her obviously i had more time on earth with her..Man, every time i hear this song i think of my mom, she loved Tesla, Ratt, Motely Crue, all the classic Hair Metal and Classic Rock/Metal bands and Aerosmith and this song in particular. I miss her so much man, hope everyone who still have their parents, their children, significant other, etc don't forget to cherish all the moments and times you have with them.
Hey sir you should do a video of your personal top 10 songs that you have reacted to. Like the ones either hit you in the feels the best or the ones you had the most fun doing or the ones that have played on your personal playlist the most due to hearing it from reaction videos
Shotout to Steven, man 🫡🔥🔝👏💯👍 As a Raphead, it's not exactly what I would listen to by myself, and even as someone who plays in 2 harmony- 1 symphony orchestra, and 1 jazz/funk/soul/freestyle/whatever-band it's not even my favorite type of music to play... But BROO, is this man a killer of a singer! This dude is going in, and I mean he's LITERALLY KILLING IT in such a calm way, he let loose on it but letting it appear so controlled and easy to do it, and I don't even mean on that studio record, I mean in live performances!!! Literally had to go search my cd, and play it 3 times on repeat before I came back to see your reaction to this 😅 Steven, my boy, salute 🫡 LEGEND ✌️

This is definitely one of my favorite Aerosmith songs. Try kings and queens or remember ( walking in the rain) which is a fire cover. Great reaction as usual my friend and Peace out ✌️ ☮️
Back in the day I was behind them at the gate in Nashville TN, I was going to Houston pushing my 2yr old in a stroller... They were going to New York City..it was so surreal... just us... They talked to me the whole way down to our separate flights... Steven Tyler is just the nicest human.. They all were....I was a nervous wreck!! LoL 😳😐🙃🤣....
The funny thing is this in music video is her crying and touching the screen and its her rl father steve tylor and in movie she is touching the screen and its her movie father bruce willis..always found that unique...my hubby and i saw the movie on our first date and this became one of our songs
The first song you were talking about is called Crying. the two girls were Alicia Silverstone and Liv Tyler , who's father is Steven Tyler. I love Aerosmith. So many great songs.
This is a wonderful song, with beautiful lyrics. Its meaning can take on a lot of personal significance for everyone..about a significant other....children. It is universal. Thank you for the wide-reaching scope of your reactions. Even when I'm not familiar with the song, I always tune in....I'm learning also. We appreciate you so much.
This is my absolute favourite song, so I was so happy to see you had reacted to this one!!! Yes this was the theme to Armageddon. Steven Tyler is the lead singer of Aerosmith and his biological daughter Liv Tyler was one of the stars of the movie.
I’m a proud Bostonian who loves that Aerosmith is from my hometown! I even used to work with Joe Perry’s cousin (who looked just like him). Great band. Thanks for choosing this one. 🌺✌️
I’ve heard this song quite a few times but I’m just actually seeing exactly what it’s about and I have goosebumps it’s so beautiful!! Thank you for reacting to this amazing song!!
This song is him singing to his daughter and the struggles of being on tour and constantly away from her while she grew up hence why she features so heavily in the video even trying to reach for him through the screen towards the end.
ONE OF MY FAVORITE MOVIES.❤❤ I'm 60 and grew up 10 miles from the groups Home town. The Cast rocked, Ben Aflek, Liv Tyler and Bruce Willis killed it. I SAW AEROSMITH LIVE IN NORFOLK VA IN 1990. My kids grew up on their greatest hits and stole it from me when she left home😊 ONE OF MY FAVORITE LOVE SONGS.😊❤
I have worked grave shift for over 20 years of my life. Next month me and my wife will celebrate 30 years of marriage. I know it sounds odd but when we have a night off together I love to lay next to my wife and watch her sleep. It brings me a certain peace knowing I can share that moment with her. This song kind of speaks to that. Love your videos.
Such a great song, and around the same time Traditional Country Music vocalist Mark Chestnut also released this song as a Country single! Also sounds amazing!
This song came at a good time for reactions.. we lost a dear friend to our community this week... a fire chief that meant a lot to everyone... very sad he was only 40yrs old left a wife and 2 kids... hearing this song made me think of him... thank u for reacting to this...
Alicia Silverstone and Liv Tyler, Steven Tyler's daughter, were in those videos you're thinking of. Liv Tyler was also in that movie. Steven Tyler is often referred to as the American Mick Jagger because of their similar looks (lips) and their moves on stage.
I loved Asrosmith back in the 80s and 90s. And thanks to “Walk this Way”, I discovered I like Hip Hop several years earlier than I probably would have.
Aerosmith was my first love as far as a rock band and the first name that went on my wall with fluorescent paint and a black light. I love Stevie Tyler. There's nothing sexier than a hard core rock artist singing a love song. You should check out "You See Me Crying", my favorite Aerosmith song.

This is one of my favorite Aerosmith songs I love a lot of Aerosmith but I love this song
When you listen to this think of your girls and each day you spend with them, you don’t want to miss a thing.
I adopted a cocker spaniel a long time ago & he had papers & his name was Steven Tyler.
I loved the song & the movie. I enjoyed the reaction.
The biggest love letter from a father to a daughter!!! Stephen know he has a child when Liv was 11 years
Steve Tyler has a voice that even when he is belting out music you can understand every word he is saying.
Best Aerosmith video with Tyler rocking out is "Dude Looks Like A Lady."
I think it's different perspectives. Romantic and father/ daughter relationship.
Dang, I have owned all Aerosmith albums. This is one of the most romantic song ever recorded. It just doesn't feel like a parent/child thing.
This my husband and I wedding first dance song. I don't think I'm alone.
That is how much I love it.
This was my song for someone who has passed. Im officially a crying mess right now
1970s Aerosmith rocks...yes, please explore their catalog. 🙂
Yeah this song became an instant staple at weddings it's a very romantic song hell it was played up my wedding
One of my all time favorite MOVIES AND one of my all time favorite SONGS. 😍 ❤️
Hey sir you should do a video of your personal top 10 songs that you have reacted to. Like the ones either hit you in the feels the best or the ones you had the most fun doing or the ones that have played on your personal playlist the most due to hearing it from reaction videos
Definitely need to check out their songs. Angel, Janie's Got a Gun, Train Kept A Rollin, Love In An Elevator, and of course Walk This Way
70s Walk this way,
Shotout to Steven, man 🫡🔥🔝👏💯👍
As a Raphead, it's not exactly what I would listen to by myself, and even as someone who plays in 2 harmony- 1 symphony orchestra, and 1 jazz/funk/soul/freestyle/whatever-band it's not even my favorite type of music to play...
But BROO, is this man a killer of a singer! This dude is going in, and I mean he's LITERALLY KILLING IT in such a calm way, he let loose on it but letting it appear so controlled and easy to do it, and I don't even mean on that studio record, I mean in live performances!!!
Literally had to go search my cd, and play it 3 times on repeat before I came back to see your reaction to this 😅
Steven, my boy, salute 🫡
LEGEND ✌️
This Aerosmith songs is from the soundtrack to the movie (Armageddon starring Bruce Willis) it was a Space movie
It’s wild I’ve been here to watch you gain 220k subscribers. I’m so so happy for you and this new studio! For many more years to come I hope man!
Love this reaction and this song! Been years since I’ve heard it!
This is definitely one of my favorite Aerosmith songs. Try kings and queens or remember ( walking in the rain) which is a fire cover. Great reaction as usual my friend and Peace out ✌️ ☮️
I love how you are loyal and dedicated to your family! Great reaction BP
I feel like in the late 70s and 80s, rock bands always had that one ballad. Love Aerosmith. Great reaction 😁
“Big Ten Inch”is a great Aerosmith song.
OMG you have to do WALK THIS WAY with RUN DMC...AWESOME DUO AND SONG... love this reaction by the way lol
Gotta Love Aerosmith & Steven Tyler!! 🤘🏻🤩😎💯 His daughter Liv is in this cuz it was the movie Armageddon & she was in the movie & her dad sang this!
This song is for you mom i miss you happy birthday 🎂
I walked down the aisle to this ❤
Back in the day I was behind them at the gate in Nashville TN, I was going to Houston pushing my 2yr old in a stroller... They were going to New York City..it was so surreal... just us... They talked to me the whole way down to our separate flights... Steven Tyler is just the nicest human.. They all were....I was a nervous wreck!! LoL 😳😐🙃🤣....
The end of the video always gets me… Liv touching the tv with her dad on it… makes me melt
The funny thing is this in music video is her crying and touching the screen and its her rl father steve tylor and in movie she is touching the screen and its her movie father bruce willis..always found that unique...my hubby and i saw the movie on our first date and this became one of our songs
❤❤❤loved this movie loved this song ❤❤❤
I seen them in concert. Great memories. Great band
My wedding song. Probably the only song I ever loved of theirs. But thank you…love it.
Such a great song ❤still gives me chills.
This song was actually written by a woman dedicated to her newborn son...
Aerosmith was the band as a teenager of the 80's, as well as Prince, Waylon, Hank and Willie. Country boy from the backwoods.
Watching your reactions I’m always reminded of what awesome music I grew up with. The seventy’s and eighty’s. They were awesome.
Great song, it’s on my playlist too!❤️✌🏻🎶
ONE OF MY FAVORITE MOVIES.❤❤
I'm 60 and grew up 10 miles from the groups
Home town. The Cast rocked, Ben Aflek, Liv Tyler
and Bruce Willis killed it. I SAW AEROSMITH LIVE
IN NORFOLK VA IN 1990. My kids grew up on their
greatest hits and stole it from me when she left home😊
ONE OF MY FAVORITE LOVE SONGS.😊❤
Aerosmith is one of my favorite bands of all time. I’ve seen several of their concerts, and every one was incredible!
This song just hits harder now that I'm older. Someone pass the tissues.
Such a great song, and around the same time Traditional Country Music vocalist Mark Chestnut also released this song as a Country single! Also sounds amazing!
FYI, I spelled his name correctly, auto correct changed it
Sweet Emotion, Angel, so many bangers over the years
As a father of daughters, you need to think of it as father to daughter!
Areosmith's "Dream On" is the anthem of my sisters and myself. After the loss of one of my sisters., it only brought it more to the forefront.
Kings and Queens is my favorite Aerosmith song. Oldie but my fav!
I think Liv is just beautiful and represents the good parts of her Dad. He can’t deny her.
Brilliant Aerosmith 👏 👏 👏 ❤
One of the best songs ever!
