    Excellent video! My chair is 95 percent same as this with very very minor differences I just bought second hand for $100. I want to change the leg style but it looks complicated because of the way they attach. Anyway … I paused your video to check my chair and just found a $20 bill tucked down the side 😮 way to go!

    We received this in the mail today! The packaging was fine, no damage during shipping thank goodness! The construction was very simple ruclips.net/user/postUgkxXH3jIpsn6vpr3D26KWAriUejh7CSxVp7 , the bottom rocking part and the ottoman were already put together for us which is nice!As for the actual quality, the wood seems fine.. Not too cheap but maybe not the quality you would find in a store for 400$. However, it is still sturdy and feels secure. I've only had it for one night, so of course no squeaking yet.. But if it does squeak it could be easily oiled. The cushions are comfy, and made of a suede like material. Obviously with time these cushions will probably wear and tear.. But for the price of the chair it is still worth it just to go out and buy new cushions that fit in the future.Overall I am very satisfied, I was a little worried after reading some reviews and looking through the photos, but I'm happy I bought it! Obviously it's not a heavy-duty chair, but with care I'm hoping it will last a while.

    Hiya this is brilliant, please could you advise why you’ve used both felt and Dacron? Could the felt be replaced with Dacron if you’re not looking to buy too many materials for the project or would Dacron not work where you’ve used the felt?

    • @faceliftinteriors
      @faceliftinteriors  4 месяца назад

      I tend to use felt as an under layer to the foam for comfort and for doming also. The dacron tends to go on top of the foam for extra padding and to stop the fabric from sticking. Hope that helps.🙏

    • @faceliftinteriors

      I wouldn't recommend it tbh. I have seen people go over the old fabric though, as long as your new fabric is fire treated shouldn't be a problem. 😊🙏⛏️✂️🧵📐

    If you were to get glue on the fabric by accident how would you get it off?

    • @faceliftinteriors

      Hi Naureen! I would normally wait for the glue to dry and try to peel it off and pray 🤣 or I would use thinners but that can harm the fabric so I try to avoid it where possible!

I don't really want the cord in my design, would prefer it to just all be smooth, cant figure out how to do it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

      Hi there! Sorry for the delayed response - you don’t HAVE to use piping, you can use metal gripper without piping. I personally prefer the finish with piping but it’s not for everyone 😊👍🏻

    Why is the old foam not replaced?
    I just find it nasty.
    I had a recliner upholstered twice until I decided to do it myself. The original 1985 foam was never replaced. It was disintegrated, falling apart, just terrible. Folks are just filthy.
    Even the Bible reads, "nor in new wine put into old wineskins"......
