For departures, Terminal 3 is the newer nicer terminal, and you board the plane on a jetway at the gate. In Terminal 1, which is the low cost terminal, you take a bus from the gate to the plane.
For arrivals, terminal 3 passengers disembark through the jetways, while terminal 1 passengers are bussed to terminal 3 for customs and baggage. There are no international arrivals in terminal 1.

what is a west bank? up until 1948 there was no such term. then came 19 years of jordanian occupation and it was the "west bank of jordan". there is no more jordan rule after 1967 and its part and always was part of Israel which is technically all "west bank of jordan river" so this term is political rubbish

There are no more manned border controls for entry or exist Israel. But they do extensive analysis about you once you buy the airline ticket.

WARNING! The Israeli Railways train is the best way to get to Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, Ashqelon, and Beer Sheva. But after you arrive at your city of destination, you will probably have to take a taxi to your hotel. There are taxi stands at most stations. However, Israeli taxis do not take credit cards. They are cash only, so it is best if you have Israeli shekels in your wallet to pay the fare. They will accept US dollars, but you have to estimate the exchange rate. Get shekels before you leave the airport.
Ben Gurion is a modern airport, which means it was designed by people who never travel by air. It is a long walk from the gate at terminal 3 to passport check and customs. So be prepared. And going through customs is not always so quick. Coming in on El Al from the US, there were primarily tourists and the lines can sometimes be long.
Also, try to fly on an airline which does not offer crying babies! 😉🤣
I'm going back for a wedding in February. Can't wait!

terminal 1 is your punishment for choosing a low cost airline. but!! theres a new viewing platform as of 8/2023 at the end of the t-1 duty free, so thats one small thing going for it.
honestly t-1 should be demolished for a second new terminal like the t-3.
