Probably because, and this may be mindblowing, most of them *are* children. JJK appeals to kids, its a battle shonen, so ofc the fanbase will be full of kids. Doesn't excuse the whining, but it does explain a lot.

It's similar to his AOT video where he's saying sure issues are there like all series, doesn't mean mine are more important or factually what destroys the series, and for the most part the haters are in the minority. If any series had to satisfy nearly all taste they would all be bland and something super close to what came before and (that's when were stuck with nostalgia bait repeats and remakes).
I was one of the biggest jjk fans in 2020, but now it’s actually disgusting. Especially the leaks, i started reading leaks cause i was tired of getting spoiled by people on twitter and even while reading leaks as they were being released… I WAS GETTING SPOILED 😫

I think the main problem is that a lot of “jjk fans” only few the spoilers on twitter or watch RUclips Videos about it. They then parrot other people’s opinions instead of reading the manga and making a opinion for themselves. These opinions then spread and people just agree with it because they can’t have independent thoughts.

Jjk weekly reader and oh my god you're so right, the community genuinely has no idea what is going on, Gojo is the only thing holding their attention because he has the flashiest ability, getting spoiled at least every 2 chapters 3 days before the official drop like can we just wait like regular people?! I'm not against l"eaking", for me it's just having access to the chapter 3 days before official release, the real problems is the overwhelming spread of those leaks and the missing SPOILERS tag. I don't know if you consider spoiling the latest chapter after release as a kind of leaking.

It's also akcnoledgement that some flaws are your personal issue. Power systems being not what you want are features not flaws. Not having it be one piece is not a flaw, not having it be like fairy tail where people dont die easily is not a flaw, it's just something you dont like. Weekly reading after gojo vs sukuna was bad experience after waiting eagerly for one week, some times couple of weeks, while reading each chapter felt the same, character getting hyped, some flashy moves, followed by some flash backes to conclude the character and die... , they did nothing to impact the elephant in the room "sukuna", may be i can get the pay back at the last stage of fight.

and it's the fault of fans. Firstly JJK have the biggest fandom and is RN the most known manga in the world 1:29 is the proof. Those who make JJK content even before CH236 like @NinjaristicNinja made MMV(manga music videos) and they got popular ITS MMV so watching it means you are viewing hidden inventory arc on your own and after CH236 like @manganimist(he always warns about spoilers) makes awesome and resourceful content mainly on JJK but why I am saying this?? Look if a manga ends or MC or fav character dies fans will have response and if your cookies are JJK related then algorithm will recommend you JJK related stuff, if you haven't watch breaking bad and you see death of a certain character in video without spoiler how is it the fault of the person behind who made video because its been years. JJK manga content without including latest chapter is not considered spoiler because its out for more than 2 weeks and if you are a anime enjoy-er then just scroll to anything JJK and MANGA related. Creators like @ㄴㅅㄴㄹ do put spoilers and Gojo death is like 10 months old and apart from Gojo's death there isn't any manga spoiler out like in literal sense. There are YTchannels which makes memes, memes of JJK manga related stuff so now there whole channel which is based on Manga related stuff they must put spoiler warning just because you only watch anime and manga is allergic to you?? sorry man that sounds like a YOU problem.

6:03 First of all I will admit author have made mistakes and he made Gojo OP and then nerfed him after shibuya. In CH229
Inhuman Makyo Shinjuku Showdown, Part 7 I believe it was the 11th panel, Gojo's domain Expansion was faster than Sukuna's domain Expansion thou it was for less than 0.1 second just remember Gojo opened his domain for 0.2 seconds in episode 9 (shibuya arc) and all those who were in his domain got roughly half year's worth of information and for normal humans they had to go through 2 months of rehabilitation until they could go normal and in 4 minutes and 39 seconds he ended all transfigured humans which were around 1000 and all special grade curses/curse user(Mahito, Choso and Jogo) were useless for 5 minutes now for Sukuna he was normal and just had like mouth, nose and eye bleed and 2 seconds max pause (but in actual he should have been paralyzed and Gojo should have killed Sukuna) its not possible Gojo's Domain Expansion before Shibuya makes special grade curses useless/paralyzed for 5 minutes in just 0.2 seconds but for sukuna 0.1(or less) had no actual effect so yes that is a very big problem. Before they fight Gojo shot a 200% purple but it did what 7:24 ??
6:16 As for Higurama I didn't nor did any fan expect anything but for Kashimo he got done dirty, tell me Sukuna's abilities Fuga, Dismantle, Cleve, World Cutting slash, RCT and DA since when did he got the ability to make infinite Binding Vows?? from somewhere he got Kamutoke AKA Yorozu which is a perfect counter-attack to Kashimo that is what is wrong I will say Sukuna have the most broken Binding Vows. Its a very beautiful manga series which is well constructed but sure it have its own flaws but I don't mind them(I DO BUT NOT TOO MUCH)

Uh I think you misunderstood the no harming vow. Sukuna said to Yuji he wouldnt harm anyone or in Japanese kizutsukenai. Force feeding Megumi and choking out Hana doesn't fit the description of kizutsukeru and once he swap bodies with Megumi just like Kenjaku the vow is now voided

Yea. The fights are so cool, especially when Kashimo gets one shotted without even using his cursed technique in a cool way, constant "Sukuna death" fake outs and the reusing of the same freaking punch to the side of the face 3 times, i can't make this up.
Don't even get me started on the binding vow shit, it's just funny at this point. Todo gave up NOTHING for his binding vow.

With his vibraslap he can make 50 swaps per second. The vow was limiting those swap targets in those second to enlarge the range of Boogie Woogie. To make it clearer for you, normal use he can swap 1 person around 50 times in 1 second. The vow is instead of 50 times swap in a second, its used on multiple targets in a larger range. Here's the fun part about vows with oneself. You are allowed to break it. The worse that happens would just be losing what you gained. It's why his final slap didnt swap Yuji but swap in Hana from afar

The thing is, binding vows can create plotholes in my opinion. Like why didn't Gojo didn't use a binding vow in his fight with Sukuna. Even tho I may come as harsh in my original comment, i still read and enjoy JJK, but there are parts of it that I do not enjoy.

I swear they act like I’m reading the worst series and I asked them what is so much better action wise no answer. Also other fandoms compare themselves like bringing up names out of conversation about a series you supposedly hate. One commentor said. Yeah I love frieren and if you don’t then watch mindless fights in jjk. As if frien has no fights and as if all fights in jjk don’t tell a story and as if there even similar enough for the hate. Jjk focuses on a hard magic system. Frien is so soft you could nearly do anything and we’d be okay with it. It’s not men for example just generic magic which is fine plus they go into it deeper but those fans act like it’s rocket science when frieren says I cast fast magic and magic gets obsolete over time and small barriers use up less magic then big. 😮if jjk says you get closer to me and objects get slower as the reach but never touch infinity. Never seen a fanbase that consistently whines and nitpicks more than jjk fanbase does. They will sit down, grab you by the shoulders, look you dead in the eye, and tell you without a hint of irony or uncertainty in their voice that the series has not had one redeeming quality since Shibuya.

It's gone back from S2 part 2 to now it hasnt been good since the flash back. Look up videos about people dropping the series the comments section is full of people posing as fans who were haters day one mad that jjk became so popular in the west among series they loved for years (mostly one piece or fairy tail range of fans you know anything in nostalgic territory naruto etc.) Not saying flaws or critics are void. Just that you can bring out that flaw bat and hit any series you dont like doesnt mean we all shouldnt like it, it's personal taste very often rather than a honest "flaw" or "bad writing"
Someone hates all of AOT, berserk, One piece, and sees any writing decision as flaws, doesnt mean everyone should agree with them or has to aknowledge what they say and dock their enjoyment down. Some issues you have arent important to others, and at worst could be misinterpretations of the story (which happens alot) or not waiting for explanations (which happens alot) wanting explanations right away at all times (which makes me wonder how they read any series that isnt straight forward) just alot of personal taste pushed as fact then giving out the coveted (good vs bad) writing.
Imo the "fans" headcanon is what ruins the series for them. When the manga does things they don't like they call it bad.

And the way they constantly downplay Yuji to the point that they are trying to make it seem like he's the absolute weakest character in jjk, When in reality, he's one of the strongest characters in the series.
Not only does he now have blood manipulation, But he now has Shrine, A really busted cursed technique, That is second only to the limitless in terms of being the strongest. Then he has simple domain, Great RCT, And some Soul based attacks, All balanced by the fact that he is inexperienced with everything except RCT, Basically he's nerfed. But even then he's still getting stronger.

Asspulls do happen in this series. Kamutoke was an asspull. This weapon was essentially used as get out of jail free card for sukuna.
Yeah gege TRIES to make it look natural by introducing it in a fight to kashimo, but as shown in the fight, it was useless against him, and after that fight it was only there to act as a plot device. If he CONSISTENTLY uses it sure that's cool, but nope. None of that.
An asspull is something that automatically saves the character that comes in with NO buildup whatsoever.
Who could've expected this kamutoke crap to happen??? It's impossible to predict, again its an asspull/plot device/plot convenience.
And the actual rule of the domain about its relationship with cursed tools was literally made at the END of the chapter.
That's the gege formula: make up the condition/rule at the END of things to APPEAR smart.
Another example: the world slash. We JUST got it used against Gojo, and all of a sudden, boom, no buildup he BV that shit to kill him in exchange for limited use of it.
Again, there was no buildup. No buildup to the technique AND the rules were introduced at the END of the chapter.
The BV in question never really feels like a fleshed out thing simply due to the fact that we just now are getting into the meat and potatoes of it, and whenever sukuna BV his way out of a mess, again no real buildup to it happening.
This doesn't feel like him exploiting the system, its just him punching out the equation that BV= escape plan to this one particular thing
This is a problem inherent to BV used on the fly in battles like this.
Another great example of asspulls: Black flashes. Black flashes are supposed to be somewhat uncommon and yet sukuna has in multiple times now, used the Black flash to power up his Cursed energy. He used it like 6 times throughout the arc.
He can be in death's door and all of a sudden, one single BF can be used to restore his output.
And these BF are powerful. They shouldn't be going off at multiple times during a fight. Only itadori should be capable of doing that, which is already weird, but at least that's been established.
Another asspull: Kenjaku having a technique that SPECIFICALLY counters gravity to save himself from a black hole. Again, a NEW thing that was introduced at the end of a chapter/fight.
Another asspull: maki trianing in the damn hyperbolic time chamber that shows up at the END of the chapter in order to defeat naoya.
She was there for over 1000 bouts, at MINIMUM, if 1 fight was 1 second, then she was there for like 16 mins.
But, most likely, it was even konger since most sumo fights last a couple seconds, its its probably like 3 times the minimum.
This came out of nowhere. Pretty convinient.
Now i may be a bit confused but how did sukuna summoning mahoraga WHILE he was being info dumped with INFINITE information????
During the thing, he was hit with unlimited void, and in the chapter, he LITERALLY says the chant itself, but how can he do that if he's unable to move his mouth??
U can say that it's possible via thinking it, but that can't be the case bcuz then sukuna wouldn't NEED to say his own chants out loud.
Ik that he adapted to unlimited void via using megumi, but AT that time, the MOMENT unlimited void was hit, he was stuck there, and mahoraga came AFTER the chant.
Whatever u wanna call it, an asspull or plot convenience, these examples prove that yeah, stupid things happen in this series.
Same for the magic system too.

honestly, the most popular mangas will never have good reception online. if the chimera ant arc was publishing currently, it would have been one of the most hated arcs. people arent used to reading weekly at all. the weekly experience is a shock to the system, exacerbated by the fact that the arc is in its climactic stage.

The jujutsufolk cricitism is kinda weird. Folk subreddits are folk subreddits because of a shared cultured around consuming a media (aka manga oriented with free leaks, shitposting and rants). It isn't that jujutsufolk ia becoming titanfolk, they already were the same thing. It only takes a controversial chapter for this to become evident, but it doesn't change the fact that it was the same culture even beforehand.
Besides that, the actual members from titanfolk are mostly the same ones as in jujutsufolk and chainsawfolk. Expecting a different result from the same action is not a wise thing

It certainly has really big flaws such as wasting characters like Kugisaki and Yuki but some people are getting a bit too toxic. All of the major flaws can be forgiven if the story manages to land it's ending.
If you say, the story manages to land its ending, you basically say, towards the end the story is getting good, then it’s simply not a good story. And there were def more Characters wasted lol, like half the cast.

Agree with pretty much everything. I do have my own problems with jjk but people are way to happy to jump to strange conclusion when theirs plenty of precedent and set up to let gege potentially completely resolve these "problems". Like the worst one is I saw people pissed that yuji got punched to the side when yuta showed up and litterally took 1 chapter before he showed back up lol
The fanbase has been near unbearable ever since Gojo died a year ago. All reading comprehension goes out the window and it doesn’t matter how good or hype I think a chapter was, every time I open up the Reddit or discord it’s full of people raging and whining about how every single thing that happens is Gege being a terrible writer and ruining everything. “Yap”, “fraud”, “glaze”, that dreaded word “asspull” which basically triggers ptsd for me now, etc it’s just all so fucking annoying. People always consistently miss the forest for the trees aka they only can view it as the string of events from chapter to chapter/week to week and have no sense of the flow of the overall arc. It was especially horrible with Gojo and Sukuna and Gojo’s death where people just completely ignored everything about the themes or narrative and were just too focused on why their favorite character should have won and complaining like they’re Pokemon cards and not characters in a fight where momentum ebbs back and forth and people make mistakes.

Side note I’m also always really annoyed by the subset of fans that are like “Gege is a terrible writer because of the way he did Nobara, JJK is horrible because of how much it wasted the potential of the big three”, basically people who think it was at its best in season 1 when everything was lower stakes and more generic. “Hot take being back back filler arcs! I want to see 10 episodes of Yuji and his friends hanging out!” I don’t understand why people want this to be another generic shounen about a trio going to superpower school to fight monsters. I don’t understand how people don’t realize by now that Gege was never interested in that and likely only started out in that structure because it’s how you get published and popular as a shounen in Japan. I thought Hidden Inventory and Shibuya was very clearly shedding the trappings of that. At this point like 2/3 of the story have been what it is now, not that, so why are you still here?

As soon as the fighting stops and the characters start talking instead of fighting, thet chapters gets called ''yap chapters'' (jjk used to get criticized for having TOO many fights lmao). That's why so many jjk ''fans'' are incredibly confused. They disregard crucial information and dialogue exchanges as ''yapping''. And so instead of paying attention, they just skim through the chapters to see them exchange blows instead.

As a member of several anime fora, it’s really corny how JJK -- which is not notably terrible by any serious metric is treated by pseudo intellectual fans like it’s written by Zack Snyder or Michael Bay or something. Fans seriously need to stop pretending to be critics, we suck at it. The vast majority of us have not studied storytelling and writing much at all to be claiming to be such experts on it when things we don’t like happen. The real truth I think is anime fans don’t ACTUALLY like unpredictable story, and high stakes and subversions. They like predictable with the patina of original. JJK really showed me that. Most of JJKs twists and uses of the power system are consistent and have been set up from a long ago.

I'm really enjoying the final showdown so far. It's been a while since we've had such a climactic final battle that delivers on so many setups and makes every character struggle in a believable way. My only complain is that Yuji gets all the powerups he's been foreshadowed to learn back-to-back, but otherwise it's been really good.
