thinner (1996)- leda (Elizabeth Franz) scene! HD 1080p.. thinner (1996).. An obese attorney is cursed by a gypsy to rapidly and uncontrollably lose weight.
Her acting was fantastic. She described the horrors that her husband went through so well, it was perfect enough to have you imagine it. It just shows that you don’t need to see everything in a horror movie to scare you, the imagination is enough. Her emotional breakdown with it was chilling as well. Great movie, I have always liked this movie.
@@nepntzerZer well, clearly I’m not the only one who thinks so, so… obviously there is some talent there. The “hammed up acting” seems more accurate over the idea of a gypsy curse making someone transform into an abomination, than having someone lack emotion, and describes the horror with a robot tone.
@@vincentbarney3091 yeah, true. But I always put that down to how the guy imagined how he looked, when she described his transformation. Seeing as how it was his dream sequence. But it also could’ve been a bizarre prediction, seeing as how he crashed his car in the dream, and it turned out he actually did crash his car on purpose in real life, within the movie.
I love the moral of the story never ever ever piss off a gypsy or anything one for that matter and always treat everyone and anyone with humble respect and kindness
Bullshit. The real moral of the story is when someone hits you hard, hit them back harder and make sure they don't get back up. The solution is always strength. Cowardice only leads to defeat, or just death.
Hey I have a question for you. Is your name, professor k, named after the DJ on jet set radio future video game? If so, that's awesome! I love that game lol
It's clever that we don't actually see the Judge's mutation into a lizard. Even though his wife describes it, not seeing him leaves us to form our own image of what kind of a monster he's turned into. As she was describing his transformation into a lizard, I was looking up lizard scales and claws to get an idea of what he was transforming into.
@@shawnswint1521 I know that. Thats not my question. I'm talking about where this dedication to this specific obsessed subject came from? I'm not talking about his work.
@@artgallery7376 Probably Something in his Past. I Heard that Before Writing Novels. He was a Huge EC Comcs/Creepshow Fan. Which is Ironic Seeing as He Would End up Starring in the Creepshow Movie in 1980.
Can't remember all the movie details, but nobody got it worse than the cop in the book! All those deep and ripe pimples all over his body! Stephen King's sickening description of them breaking open. And his house smelling like rotting flesh! Gross!!!
sarah williamson it is 100% her fault. That's why he gives her the pie at the end. Partly. The other part was that apprehension order because he was "nuts"
It's both their faults. He should have made her stop immediately when she started, he was driving and was responsible. He should have had the common sense. Also, it's never proven that she was cheating on him. Only implied by his suspicions.
True...though I believed Houston showing up at the end and expecting Heidi alone was not quite enough to go on, I forgot the leg caressing part, and I didn't even notice Heidi zipping up her pants during their conversation. Sharp eyes there.
@Avil - Don't be a racist pig. That's not even how he felt in the book when his daughter died. You know nothing. The book and movie is about everyone's flaws and the sharing of blame. That's why the gypsy teenagers were stealing from the store owner in the beginning of the story before anyone died. Because they felt entitled. Shall we streotype dark people from this? So sit down unless you're called on.
Lol I like how the old gypsy switches it up on the curses. One guy a living a skeleton another guy a human lizard. I wonder what’s next? Like does HE Himself (the gypsy) know what the end result will be or does he kinda just throw a word out there and sits back and watches the transformation while taking notes. I wonder what other curses he has up his sleeve. Like what about “clown” haha and he turns into a clown like der kloyne in that silly film “clown” haha or what about if he said “ criminal mastermind” or “all star quarterback”
This movie is the best so far and they well Stephen King should write another book or movie that is like a part 2 of the 1st movie like the mother of Ritchie the Hammer gets revenge for killing her Son and chopping off his right hand and leaving it in billies front seat of his car, that's why the gypsy Tadzu Lempke told Billy to die clean with his curse and not to give it to anyone else, before it GETS BACK at billy by him killing his wife his daughter and his DR HE ALSO IS THE REASON WHY RITCHIE DIES ALSO HE KILLS HIMSELF . IF HE WOULD HAVE ATE THE PIE HIMSELF HE WOULD HAVE DIED CLEAN NO REGRETS. BUT HE DIDN'T SO THE GYP GOT HIS REVENGE FOR BILLY KILLING HIS DAUGHTER ANYWAY BUT MADE IT WORSE.
Just realized the judge from Thinner who had the "lizard" curse put on him, is played by the same guy who played the judge at the very beginning of "The Shawshank Redemption" (the one who gave Andy Dufrense "2 life sentences, back to back")
michael white No. He was seriously malnourished. Whenever your body can’t lose any more fat, it looses the muscle, until your skin becomes so loose there’s nothing left but your bones. Your eyes begin to pop out of your face. When I was anorexic, my eyes looked three times bigger than they should be. But it was because my body didn’t have any muscle or just tissue to hold them, so they popped out. Along with anorexia, your skin becomes pale, your cheekbones and collar bones begin to pop out until your body has nothing left else to lose. If I went too in detail or not enough let me know. I’m actually studying for my bachelors in nutrition so I’m trying to get a general idea of how to explain these things to people.
Amazing acting she should win an Oscar for this scene "YOI TELL ME WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN!!! You TELL ME!!!!!!!"
Her acting was AMAZING in this scene. She gave everything!!!! Definitely Oscar-worthy!
😂🤣
Terrible acting

NO MORE LIZARD HANGERS!
I just saw the movie and came here to say how phenomenal her acting was in this scene!!
Sometimes what you imagine is more scary than what you see. Great scene.
exactly, this is the best scene in the film I think because the audience is actually given a chance to think

Elizabeth Franz’s acting was superb in this scene!
I'm still appalled Robert John Burke didn't get an Oscar nod for this one. That, "Laugh" rant was amazing.

Frankly, they could have done a better job with the actor’s makeup to match her description of the judge.
the acting is hammy and over the top. its full cheese 90's acting. you think this is fantastic? LOL
