  • In this problem, we calculate the heat transfer between a moving fluid and a water heater pipe with constant heat flux. We look at two scenarios: (1) a low velocity rate case where the flow is Laminar and (2) a high velocity case where the flow it Turbulent.
    The main goal of the examples in the Internal Convection module is to determine appropriate heat transfer coefficients that we can apply to specific problems. We then use those heat transfer coefficients to figure out how much heat is being transferred between the solid and the fluid.

    What is the reason for taking n=4 for heating and n=3 for cooling in case of dittus bolter equation

      My understanding is that these come from emperical correlations and it fits the data better in these cases
