I’m not a fan of either team, but I would have to say Oklahoma got screwed by the officiating. I would say there is definitely bias calls in favor of FSU.
Look at 6:56 into game that’s how horrible that umpire is. Lol lol it was a good 10 inches out in front of glove when Nicole stepped on the first base bag.
Its debatable in major league baseball where hitters are all hitting under 300 and bases are 90 feet apart, actually it's not analytics have proven even then that your better off stealing or doing a hit and run, or doing nothing and hitting them over, all have proven more effective than giving up outs and sacrifice bunting.. now, if you want to sacrifice over in baseball based on who's up and what not, I actually think there's a place for it.. but in softball where everyone on your team hits well over 300, and the all American you sacrifice is hitting well over 400, and bases are so close that anything that isn't fielded smoothly and quickly is a hit, there's room for mistakes or taking time in baseball, in softball there's not, thus the reason for slapping and bunting to get on base, and slow ground balls get beat out regularly, ITS CLEARLY JUST BEING STUPID TO SACRIFICE BUNT! ESPECIALLY GIVING UP YOUR ALL AMERICAN and going into the bottom of your line up.. I'm just saying, she's obviously a good coach, but it's dumb and makes no sense to sac bunt in softball.. the fact everyone that runs the highest levels of the sport think otherwise based off them doing it and being praised for it by those calling the games on television, when truly its common sense, is CRAZY! Off the top of my head and immediately i thought of all those differences between the two sports, all of which make it even dumber to give up outs to move runners than in baseball where analytics have proven its the least effective decision there as well.. after seeing yet another sacrifice bunt and this time removing your all American with 16 homeruns and 400 batting avg in order to do so, i had to say something..( from experience im certain its stupid also, after college and my time in baseball ending, i played fastpitch softball for a team ranked top 10 world wide nearly every year by nsa and asa, larry h miller team (the former long time owner of the utah jazz) our main pitcher was and still is the assistant head coach for the university of utahs program.
As a catcher/ 3b i gotta say im jealous of outfield for the grass. Oh yeah. And EVERY ONE IF THESE PLAYS WAS EPIC. jayda coleman #1 though. Shes mind blowing.
FSU had a good run, but Oklahoma was overwhelming. Even more so in 2022. And look at their roster for 2023. Sheesh.
You were sooooo correct, BOOMER SOONER
