@@truckdriver1982 I am completely against any form of drink driving, don't get me wrong but it seems a rather ineffective way of stopping it when you could get anyone to blow into it for you.
But hopefully that person would react to it. If someone just downed a bottle of vodka and wanted to take of in a Heavy truck.

I'm so glad to go cruisin' with you again! I've been having a medical crisis, and it has damaged my memory - but I stumbled across your dashcam again. I didn't realize how much I've missed you! Those beautiful drives you take remind me so much of New England (the NE corner of the US); beautiful foliage, hills and valleys, all underpinned with granite. That's where I wish I was right now. Give Pikachu a hug for me.
Considering Sweden has one of the lowest rates of traffic accidents in the world I'm always surprised at the number of bad and angry drivers in your videos. Of course even these drivers, being Swedish, aren't nearly as incompetent or rageful as their counterparts here in the US. :-)
Can't speak for everyone of course but I am seriously careful around specific behavior, car models, and also specific times of the day. Keeping distance has saved me, my wife, and my kid's life on 4 different occasions.
At last, I have had my fix of Swedish Trucker Dashcam. Thank you once again for another lovely glimpse of Sweden, and catching up on the ongoing story of your driving life. The sail van made me smile! :-)
You always have some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard! :D Also wanted to say how amazing the green is there! We are in a big drought at the moment- water restrictions are 120 litres/person per day. NO garden/tree watering...unless it's grey water, and no new gardens/trees planted :( So it's refreshing to see so verdant a bit of countryside. Thank you :)

As in the USA, I blame some of these incidents on bad road design rather than the drivers. Roads often don't tell you what lane to be in until it's almost too late to change, forcing you to cut people off to go where you want to go.

Yeah, I agree with you on that one! Sometimes there are a lot of space to add the signs much earlier.
But at the same time...like the taxi.

I have a MobileEye in my truck. Like yours, it beeps when someone is too close up front. What winds up happening is knuckleheads pass me at high speed, and then do a quick lane change which puts them in dangerously close to my big front bumper. When my wife rides with me, she wishes she had some sort of laser device to zap these people. And thumbs up to your BlackVue 900 2 chan. I run a 750 1 chan camera. Love it!
The wide-frequency "dum-dum-dum - dum-dum-dum" is the autobrake feature of Volvo trucks. In the time the audible warning is sounding I think you have about 2 or 3 seconds to respond by braking or reducing your speed before the truck brakes automatically to avoid a collision.
I had driving lessons in 2012 and 2013 for the regular car and those autobraking features were just starting to become a thing, my driving instructor as a result was fierce on not overtaking a truck and going back to the same lane to quickly, because it could cause a truck to autobrake, and risk another truck slamming right into them.
On my way to work I used to get passed by this jerk and later we were side by side just a hundred yards from work. One day I asked him why do you keep speeding past me? He said, "well everyone has his preferred speed." Then I told him, "if you're speeding past me and we get to this same place every day, then you were going slower than me much of the time". Logic doesn't work with some people.

My Mummy wants me to drive Big Lorries in Europe. I'm currently driving Big Lorries in the USA. This video inspired me to now come drive in the UK.

You need to get an American train horn on your truck. If they are are going to drive like pricks, then you should at least get a laugh from them crapping themselves.

8:00 As we say in Sweden: "Tur i oturen" ("Good luck in bad luck"). Bad luck having problems with the truck; good luck have the Volvo truck center nearby. It seems to be called "blessing in disguise" in English.

Traverser des espaces nature est apaisant. Les verts tendres sont mentalement réjouissants. Les kilomètres défilent sur une region magnifique, qu'il y ait du soleil, de la pluie, ou de la neige. Les pauses sont tout aussi pleines de surprises. Mentalement, délicieusement prenant. J'aime !

@@truckdriver1982 I was already hearing the ETS2 "ding" going off and suggesting to find a service center as soon as possible :P . It was almost at ETS2 scale levels of close-by :P .
Saw some of the lightshows I have gotten as a car driver when letting a truck reverse in a difficult spot somewhere that made me block any traffic that the truck driver would be unable to see. And upon being in the dock doing a little light dance :D Always makes my day (and given the show, the truck driver's day as well).

I wonder if those super slow passenger cars have city gearing, and 70 kph is the highest speed they can go with any kind of fuel economy.
Nah, most likely just slow drivers.
Most of the time it's elderly people who see too bad to retain their licence but they keep driving in ignorance and their doctors doesn't report them out of misguided benevolence.

i use to tall gate people in my semi when they cut me off so they could not see as they were trying to cut someone off in the next lane in traffic
That truck is great... it has an idiot detector. It beeps everytime it encounters an idiot on the road. :p
"100 speedlimit" when your truck says "Max 90km/h" xD #gangster
This is because some companies limit their trucks to 10 km/h under posted speed limits, AND OR heavier trucks, need stronger gearing. Specialty gear boxes cant travel as fast. I worked a truck one time whose max speed is 83 km/h. And depending on the motor, you can always be a dumb shit driver, and over rev and hurt the truck to bring up the speed in final gear. Trucks have a "power band" and in final gear, you tend to approach the end of it. But, you can push it from its safe comfortable 1600 rpms, to 1900-2000 and fuck the motor up.
These stickers tend to be a warning, dont exceed this speed for the health of this vehicle.

8:15 there is never anything good about driving a Volvo truck here in the US. Here it usually means you're wearing a track suit (like LL Kool J stopped wearing in 1986) not a good thing. It also means you will speed in the slow zones, and be unable to do speed limit on the highway.
As always - great videos. 👍🏼😊 Agree with Ulf - inform the taxi companies when their drivers behave like maniacs - it could prevent serious accidents.
And I hope you will get a more proper horn, fitting for your truck - the standard is surprisingly weak and it sounds like a sad and depressed duck with a cold, almost apologising for being here. 😁

It really is the strangest feeling to be having when other people are flashing you their hellos. I get all excited and silly, and I'm not young. At least I would think if you got stuck on the side of the road, help would close by.

If you truck is acting like that, it's usually bad fuel, bad head gasket, timing jumped(mechanical timing though) EGR valve? maybe even the pcv valve... "OH! It's a diesel! Nope no clue..."

We have two 2 year old volvos both of them had the fuel pipe replaced recently.
Four minutes later the same white BMW has turned to be a Volkswagen Passat.
The Bmw is behind the Passat. I never passed the passat :)

A big hello from the East Coast of Canada, province of New Brunswick. Great to see some of your country thru your eyes. Could you post a reference to where you are during the different segments of your video. Would love to know where that ferry boat is located and those narrow roads. Hugs and 'bon vent' as we say in french ('fair winds' in english.....a reference of course to the 'sailing truck')
The small road at the end is on the iland "Orust". And ferry is going from Orust to the main land :)
