  • Almost eight months into the Israel-Hamas war, and the media has learned nothing in regard to blindly reporting Hamas’ propaganda. Although the investigation of the cause of the fire in Rafah is still underway, here are the details we do know.

There is indeed an illusory minority that is interested and unfortunately Netanyahu added it to the government, but they don't decide and I assure you that israel will not return to settle in Gaza. I wish Egypt would agree to rule Gaza. Most of israelis would be happy if Gaza would came under Egyptian control.

I love HonestReporting, its a shame your posts don't get shared more, the Daily Mail in UK and the Sun are better than the broadsheets on this. I guess that is why the tabloid journalists always beat the Broadsheets at University Challenge . People dismiss those papers as low brow, but honestly they do their due diligigience reach a wider audience and simplify the argument, Guardian is a rag in my opinion, the journalists believe, with out investigating never roll up their sleeves and research, rely on hearsay and promote populism. Israel is always going to be the loser against a majority of Muslim countries and Christian countries votes in UN, or on social media, its called beating up the minority, picking on the one Jewish country, or the one Jewish child in the classroom. If Guardian/BBC were worth their salt, Reuters, Washington Post, they would be representing the tiny voice, the minority, the one drowned out by the mob.

"the majority killed were women and children"- Now, this is per automato basic statistics. HALF of Gazas people are minors. And we may presume the rest of civiilians is about 25-25. What gives. In a random explosion in a tightly inhabited area, 75 % casualties WILL be women and children... If the numbers are less than 75%, ie the number of killed men is more than 25% - we KNOW the excess are for sure Hamas. More, because we know some teenage boys, whom counts as children - but some of them are Hamas... We all had seen teenage boys in Gaza training weaponry and guerilla tactics, no? Also, we may suspect some other civilian:, women, men, teenagers of all both genders - are weapon carriers and couriers... It was so in occupied Europe during ww2, its surely so in Gaza too... Re casualties: We may suspect, there is a higher percentage of men - read Hamas - among the killed. While the percentage of civilians will be relatively higher among the wounded. How come?? Israeli seldom bomb completely random just to kill some palestinians. Usually they bomb known, or at least suspected; Hamas positions.. And thus; a very big share of the dead are Hamas because they are in the self centrum of the bombing, while civilians farther away fo the centrum for the explosion - will be mostly civilians, and so, not so many dead but many wounded...

a humanitarian area according to HAMAS terrorists means a weapon depot, and a mass casualty event, for optics. They do call their children and women, collateral damage, just like the IRA bomber who claims to have killed mountbatten did in press recently, when he called the Irish and British child killed 'collateral damage' terrorists are evil, anyone supporting that logic needs therapy and rehabilitation.

Fessi Drott. Now about your claim of genocide. You cheapen the concept of genocide. There is precise definition of what genocide is. You can argue that israel response is disproportionate. Maybe. I don't think so but maybe. It is very easy to look from the side when was no country that faced such a situation. Since it's establishment, israel has been in existential danger. In the 1948 war it was a miracle that israel succeeded against five armies from Arabs countries. Before the 1967 war the people on the home front in israel were depressed and were sure that the state of Israel would not survive. I was 7 years old at the time and I remember the radio in Hebrew from Cairo that described what the Arabs would do to the residents of Israel, the radio station from Cairo was called the voice of Thunder. In practice the war lasted 6 days and the situation changed at once from depressions to Euphoria. After the six day war, the extreme national religious that is minority in israel began to settle in occupied territory. In 1992, the majority of the people in israel supported the 2- state solution and Yitzhak Rabin came to power, right after that in 1993 Hamas started suicide attacks inside israel. The attacks in israel led to Rabin assassination and Netanyahu rise to power in 1996.

They are explaining the actions israel took and what happened at the refugee site. Yes. It doesn’t make sense because all the facts have not been discovered. All they have proved in this video was that Israel did not strike the camp but a different target. This video was sensible in arguing that this is what we know. The rest is still under investigation. We will need to wait till we find out the other facts. But it shows how quick we are to jump to conclusions simply because the media has reported it that way because they have taken Hamas’ word for it.

@@shaunwhelan5091 You do your own history: It did not start in 1948, in 1936-39 and not even in 1921 or in 1834. Arabs were massacring Jews periodically from time immemorial. In 1909, however, the Jews have started defending themselves with the establishment of "Hashomer" so in 1921 there were more Arabs dead than Jews and this marked a turning point which continued throughout the "Arab revolt" of 1936-1939. This time, the Arabs had a lot more casualties.. In 1947, the Arabs started massacring again, only this time, the Jews were ready. Enter 1948.. The losing Arabs cry out for all the Arab states around to intervene. Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Iraq answer the call and invade, plus the local Mufti's Jihad army and the ALA this makes 7 armies. And they all got their asses handed over to them. Many Arabs chose the right side of history and stayed to become Israeli citizens while most of them chose to run away with the fleeing remnants of the Arab armies. And this is what happened in 1948. What does international law really say about this? Right, that when you attack someone and lose, he does not need to give you back your land or even allow you to return. The "right of return" as it is called by mistake as based on UN 194 does not say "Palestinian" or even "Arab" refugees, instead, it relates to ALL refugees which explains why the Arabs had opposed it: The Jewish refugees they had expelled with one suitcase had far more properties in their lands of origin and they stole these properties. So this is why UN194 has no valid legal standing - because by the UN charter a decision must be accepted by all sides to it at the day of signature to become legally binding, so UN194 is not legally binding. And also UN181 since the Arabs did not accept it (and still do not accept it, to this day).
