I can't believe Ibushi is finally in AEW. For anyone that wants to know just how deep the history between him and Kenny Omega goes, here's an overview of their story, which is one of the best ever in wrestling. There's no way I can do it justice in one comment since it has SO much nuance and detail, but I'll try to grasp its magnitude for anyone not familiar: *Early 2008:* Kenny Omega sees videos of Kota Ibushi wrestling for the DDT company in Japan and realizes they have the same vision for pro wrestling *July 2008:* Kenny sends a video to DDT of himself doing street wrestling just like Ibushi and also does an interview where he calls him out (these are on youtube) *August 6, 2008:* Kenny has flown to Japan and on this day has his first ever singles match in Japan, a brutal two out of three falls hardcore match against Ibushi. Ibushi wins. Kenny says it's the first time he's cried after a match (this is also on youtube) *January 2009:* Kenny goes on his second tour to Japan, after DDT wants the rematch against Ibushi. The two refuse the rematch and want to team instead. The company gives in and the team of the Golden Lovers is created *January 24, 2009:* The Golden Lovers win the DDT tag titles, earning their first championships together *January 31, 2010:* The Golden Lovers team up for the first time in NJPW *November 11, 2010:* The Golden Lovers win the NJPW junior tag titles from Apollo 55 *2011-2012:* Ibushi starts winning many singles titles and tournaments, which makes Kenny work a lot harder to try and reach his level (and makes him a little jealous) *August 18, 2012:* The Golden Lovers face each other in one of DDT's best matches ever for the top title in a sold out Budokan. Ibushi wins again. *December 23, 2012:* Kenny finally wins DDT's top title. He wins it from El Generico (Sami Zayn) *2013-2014:* Ibushi keeps rising to levels yet unattainable to Kenny, including going Heavyweight in NJPW and entering the G1 Climax *October 2014:* Kenny announces he's leaving DDT to sign with NJPW. Him and Ibushi team for the last time in DDT on October 26, 2014 *November 7, 2014:* Kenny reveals himself as the newest member of the Bullet Club, turning his back on the ideals he held at Ibushi's side. His bitterness against Ibushi's success led to this. *April 5, 2015:* Kenny inadvertently costs Ibushi the IWGP Heavyweight title in a match against AJ Styles when his interests conflict. Ibushi vs. Bullet Club. He's heartbroken from it after. Find and watch this if you can. *January 5, 2016:* Kenny casts AJ Styles out of Bullet Club and becomes the leader *2016-2017:* During this time Ibushi burns out on wrestling and leaves both DDT and NJPW. Kenny starts the run that turned him into a legend, including his wars with Okada. Throughout this period, Kenny refuses to even acknowledge Ibushi's existence when asked. Ibushi is worried about the path Kenny has taken. *June 20, 2017:* Ibushi returns to NJPW when he's announced for the G1 Climax. Kenny is surprised and says he wants to meet him in the finals (as they are in opposing blocks) *August 13, 2017:* Kenny makes it to the G1 finals, Kota does not. After Kenny loses the final to Naito, him and Ibushi share a personal moment backstage before Kenny pushes Ibushi away in self-loathing. *January 5, 2018:* Ibushi is attacked by Cody, who's been going after Kota to get under Kenny's skin. For the first time in years Kenny comes to Ibushi's aid and defuses the situation. *January 28, 2018:* Kenny is betrayed by Bullet Club teammate Cody. Returning the favor, Ibushi comes out and saves Kenny. After a tense moment, the two hug and reunite. (this is on youtube, GO WATCH IT RIGHT NOW) *The rest of 2018:* The Golden Lovers go on an incredible run, this time in NJPW. They have amazing matches against many teams and another against each other in the G1 Climax. *2019-Present:* Ibushi stays in NJPW, while Kenny leaves to change the world with AEW. At one point, they both became the world champions of their promotions at the same time. The two have changed since then, but never forgot about each other, and there have been countless sings that they might reunite in AEW. *July 19, 2023:* Kota Ibushi debuts for AEW and reunites with Kenny Omega as the Golden Lovers If you want an even more in-depth look at the Golden Lovers' story, there is an amazing video called "Professional Wrestling is Stupid and Beautiful and I Love it" that covers it. The most important thing though is that finally The Golden Lovers and The Golden Elite are BACK!

5) Mox clearly seeing Ibushi kick two guys and seeing him walk towards him but deciding not to do anything and just get kicked in the face
6) Mox using a fork to beat up the Elite and not trying to force them to tap out by threatening to pop an eye or something
7) Ibushi not stomping on Mox but rather doing a moonsault on the nail board
8) Pac standing awkwardly as Claudio gets beaten up by Nick Jackson when Nick first entered
9) Matt (or Nick) holding on to their brother as their about to get a double german suplex so both of them get hit rather than letting go so only one person gets hurt
10) Locking the door when there's a bolt cutter in the ring anyways
11) Takeshita standing awkwardly as Kenny beats up his teammates after Pac leaves
12) Claudio clearly seeing Hangman's Buckshot but not doing anything and still staying in place
13) Hangman being slow af to hit said Buckshot
14) The Elite wasting time posing and showing off weapons after Pac left instead of taking advantage of a weakened BCC
15) Nick Jackson doing Northern lights suplexes on the top when a few punches followed by throwing Wheeler of the Cage would've been a lot more effective
16) The stupidest of them all, the match ending not by pinfall, submission or quitting but by stoppage because someone was being chocked. After we already saw about 7 ppl get chocked. Not to mention stabbed, nearly thrown off a cage, put through thumbtacks get dumped on their head multiple times etc
Other than that it was fine ig. I liked the Pac and Takeshita leaving the BCC part. But man whoever produced this match needs to be fired because they're not very smart
Um... Mox quit buddy
@@dylanyeager5737 well they did a pathetic job of showing it. In the ic vs pinacle match we clearly understood how and why the match ended. This was just a mess man
Yup, it wasn’t good.
This match literally broke all the new protocols aew is implementing.
Anyone think Tony can actual say NO to anybody?? He can never stand up for himself. Massive beta make energy

Tony yeah what protocols🥴🥴

He's a Death Rider now.

BCC looks strong( two members left)
Pac got revenge on mox by leaving him in the ring
Future of takeshita looks bright.
Strongest member moxley tied.
Yuta didn't gave up.
Mox care about yuta ❤️.
Golden elite(face team) won.
That match was brutal 😮
Blood & Guts is very brutal match
Win or lose I think the BCC deserves a Grammy for there amazing showing, hats off to mox, cloudio and especially yuta for the beating he took in the closing part of this match.
😢😢 for the first time I felt sorry for him😢😢
I can't believe Ibushi is finally in AEW. For anyone that wants to know just how deep the history between him and Kenny Omega goes, here's an overview of their story, which is one of the best ever in wrestling. There's no way I can do it justice in one comment since it has SO much nuance and detail, but I'll try to grasp its magnitude for anyone not familiar:
*Early 2008:* Kenny Omega sees videos of Kota Ibushi wrestling for the DDT company in Japan and realizes they have the same vision for pro wrestling
*July 2008:* Kenny sends a video to DDT of himself doing street wrestling just like Ibushi and also does an interview where he calls him out (these are on youtube)
*August 6, 2008:* Kenny has flown to Japan and on this day has his first ever singles match in Japan, a brutal two out of three falls hardcore match against Ibushi. Ibushi wins. Kenny says it's the first time he's cried after a match (this is also on youtube)
*January 2009:* Kenny goes on his second tour to Japan, after DDT wants the rematch against Ibushi. The two refuse the rematch and want to team instead. The company gives in and the team of the Golden Lovers is created
*January 24, 2009:* The Golden Lovers win the DDT tag titles, earning their first championships together
*January 31, 2010:* The Golden Lovers team up for the first time in NJPW
*November 11, 2010:* The Golden Lovers win the NJPW junior tag titles from Apollo 55
*2011-2012:* Ibushi starts winning many singles titles and tournaments, which makes Kenny work a lot harder to try and reach his level (and makes him a little jealous)
*August 18, 2012:* The Golden Lovers face each other in one of DDT's best matches ever for the top title in a sold out Budokan. Ibushi wins again.
*December 23, 2012:* Kenny finally wins DDT's top title. He wins it from El Generico (Sami Zayn)
*2013-2014:* Ibushi keeps rising to levels yet unattainable to Kenny, including going Heavyweight in NJPW and entering the G1 Climax
*October 2014:* Kenny announces he's leaving DDT to sign with NJPW. Him and Ibushi team for the last time in DDT on October 26, 2014
*November 7, 2014:* Kenny reveals himself as the newest member of the Bullet Club, turning his back on the ideals he held at Ibushi's side.
*January 5, 2016:* Kenny casts AJ Styles out of Bullet Club and becomes the leader
*2016-2017:* During this time Ibushi burns out on wrestling and leaves both DDT and NJPW.
Kenny is surprised and says he wants to meet him in the finals (as they are in opposing blocks)
*August 13, 2017:* Kenny makes it to the G1 finals, Kota does not.
(this is on youtube, GO WATCH IT RIGHT NOW)
*The rest of 2018:* The Golden Lovers go on an incredible run, this time in NJPW.
*July 19, 2023:* Kota Ibushi debuts for AEW and reunites with Kenny Omega as the Golden Lovers
If you want an even more in-depth look at the Golden Lovers' story, there is an amazing video called "Professional Wrestling is Stupid and Beautiful and I Love it" that covers it.
The most important thing though is that finally The Golden Lovers and The Golden Elite are BACK!
First, thank you for your amazing breakdown of the relationship between Ibushi and Omega. It was so interesting I got into your breakdown and forgot about the match momentarily 😅. I had to start the video over and watch it again 😂. But yeah, their story is crazy and amazing! I love wrestling
Who cares mark
Good job, sir! This comment should be pinned.
NJPW did a series on the Bullet Club in which they go over omega and ibushi complicated love hate relationship
@@globalpoliticsman9523 I would also recommend super eye patch wolf he mostly does videos on anime’s and movies but he does have some wrestling videos on his channel and he did talk about the whole golden lovers storyline in his “professional wrestling is stupid and I love it” video.
the way moxley and claudio just sat there and watched yuta get wrecked at the end . . .
Yuta was never going to tap out. Nice of Mox to save him.
How much more obvious can some of these spots be? 9:00 Even Schiavone calls that Claudio clearly looks at Hangman, and he just stands there to take the move. These guys are sloppy af.
Yep.
Claudio was waiting for a upper cut, but he loss his mental balance at the same time
It looked like Claudio was trying to sell how out of it he was, Hangman milked the move and waited too long.
How much brutal can this match be?! That was pure chaos! Looks like The Golden Elite proves that they can be violent!
FACTS dude.
And that being VPs really helps helps to get you put over in matches you shouldn't
@@prophecygg5826agreed
@@prophecygg5826 right because have the debuting kota ibushi take an L on debut. we all knew bcc was going to take an L on this one it was still a banger match though.
@biggbadwolf96 Yes because he wouldn't be the one taking an L. As long as he isn't the one eating the pin. And of course it's not like they were gonna put the bcc over in b&g match like they should. Because shouldn't be losing those matches. Not for a while. That's their style and tailor made for them. So that when they do actually lose one it means something and has a bit of shock value to it. But like you said. We all knew the outcome would be the elite. There in lies the problem.
Ok enough of this shit. One extreme match: awesome. Two extreme matches: ok. Three extreme matches: getting a little played out. FOUR EXTREME MATCHES BETWEEN THESE TWO TEAMS. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
4:38 for the worst camera shot
That ibushi segment breaking every submission done on his team was sick 😂💯🔥👏🏾
The kick to moxs teeth was a bit rude
Why? All he did was walk around and kick people.
The BCC putting the golden elite in all submissions was actually a fire sequence
It was fking stupid. High spot, stacked on high spot, stacked on high spot and in the end one team wins because the other team has guys run away ....
@@toddtaylor6506 if u didn’t like it then what waste ur time on it? Sounds like a you problem
Brutal ass match..dope to see Ibushi back, but this is probably the very first time that i went "Yeah, he looks 40 years old" when watching him work 😅
I am very casual at this point and it was the first time I have seen him in years and instantly thought that. Has he been on hiatus or something?
@@justanothertrucker7856 bro has been inactive for a year now due to a near paralyzed arm (hence why he lost quite alot of his physique, cause bro was shredded the last time he wrestled full time)

Some of this was very rough to watch. Claudio waiting for the Buckshot, Wheeler repositioning to eat the super kicks at the end, camera not catching the surrender.
AEW is basically 2000 WCW at this point
How so?
hats off to yuta for taking so much of a beating. and still able to perform. He's getting better and better everyday and im here for it
Better by taking pure physical punishment 😂

@@gmac673 Technically Mox lost this match for BCC cause he surrendered for Yuta's sake.
@@gmac673 To be fair, the camera crew for the most part did a GREAT JOB at catching the important moments. It's hard when there are 10 Wrestlers, 2 Rings, AND a huge ass cage to film everything so I give this match and camera work some leeway. Plus, they said it on Commentary which is why I know.
@@gmac673 Is there a real tough guy in wrestling? Moxley even won a real grappling tournament over the weekend -- does that not make him a tough guy? It really sounds like you have preconceived notions about him, and no matter what he does, you will continue to hate him for them. Actually, hold on -- let me guess -- you like Jim Cornette, don't you? And because he told you not to like him, you listen like the good little boy you are. Nope. They all thought they could take it like Claudio.
That's certainly a way to look at it.
I can see how it’s gonna be a story with Golden Lovers and Hung Bucks coming

AEW should've uploaded two videos of 10 minutes , making two parts for a long and deadly match
Mox no doubt is insanely hardcore, and i kinda get why most people hate him and a few love him at the same time, but i guess the haters will never see the hardcore legend in mox as his fans do, the man has no fear, and as he said before in his own words he's indomitable will personified, in other words he meant his will for taking a beating and keep fighting is unmatched, its just admirable to me what mox does, and I don't give a damn what no one says, but im his fan for life.✊💯
Their just "hurt" that he left the other company and if he went back they would be singing his praises
Blood and Guts is one of these craziest, dangerous matches ever in the history of AEW! AEW’s Blood and Guts is a very similar to WCW’s War Games! PAC has no where near him but PAC has no choice but to walk out of Blood and Guts and has walked out on the BCC during the Blood and Guts match against The Golden Elite and The Golden Elite at AEW: Dynamite and Jon Moxley (who is formerly known as the WWE’s Dean Ambrose) as a madman who has been going crazy in this match for slamming Kenny Omega into the barbed wire table and then so we’re the BCC! The Golden Elite has been victorious in Blood and Guts!
I hope there is a camera angle of Moxley tapping out. Then it could be used to antogonize him as a quitter in future angles.
Damn this what wrestling was in the early 2000 as I watch it
