Try Russian food for 24 hours you could have pelmeni, the salty fish things, kasha, all the candies, kefir and the ice cream - you get European / polish shops that usually sel it
I am not Japanese, but I love the culture and I am adept in the language. I would have suggested including some mackerel, miso soup, and/or tamagoyaki with your breakfast. People don't always have time for so many side dishes in Japan, modern day, but it is the traditional set up for a Japanese breakfast to have numerous small side dishes. Also, to be able to include the umeboshi for health benefits and to slowly develop a taste for it, I would suggest mixing it up with your rice so you are diluting the strong flavour. Also, at lunch, the octopus dish is called Takoyaki (tah-koh-yah-key) And the dumplings are called gyoza. The soy beans from dinner are edamame (ey-dah-mah-may).
