Thankyou so much for sharing 🙏. Yours is the best available video with all requisite dynamics clearly demonstrated. Thanks again. Really helpful for my exam.
Could you explain the theory behind the mordant and the trill in the bach 2 part invention pls. Some recordings have mordants being played as trills . And the trill carrying on for the tied bars as well.
i just wanted to confir, this falls under the classical and jazz section right? (got a lil confused bcz i see modern pieces like thinking out loud and coldplay
In piece no.5 Kuhlau: Allegro Molto (1st Movt from Sonatina in F, Op. 88 no. 4) , In bar 27 and 29 , the first note is tied to a staccato. How are we supposed to play it? Should the staccato note be striked again?
@@livialai that’s what everyone are saying … but why in the first place a note is tied to a staccato ? Instead we can put the note and a rest if we don’t want the second note to be played. When a slur connects a note to a staccato … shouldn’t the staccato be played as semi staccato

Don’t replay the note, but come off it in a staccato manner so it’s detached from the next notes
In the recording, the second staccato note was not played. I hope this helps;)
@@livialai yes it was not played… but is that the right interpretation.. why is a note tied to a staccato in the first place
Just make sure you lift it more abruptly when you see the staccato note:)
