Same only discovered it this evening and I am addicted, I like the energy of the Lebanese Dabke 🇱🇧 it’s beautiful to watch, they’d give river dance a run for their money 😂🇮🇪
I went to a Lebanese wedding recently and saw dabke for the first time- I love the energy and beauty of it. Thank you for this documentary so I can learn more!
Me too. The first time I ever saw it performed in a video, it was instantaneously the best dancing I ever saw. Like remembering something wonderful. This is how men were meant to dance, I think. I'm not even levantine, so far as I know. Polish, English, and French.
@@bettybuhh4527 if that would be a completely true, we would definitely see more women and a girls dancers. We see some but, very few, Most of the time it is reserved for men.
4:02 I love that they teach the children to dance, they look beautiful all together holding hands. This dance is captivating, I love it a lot ❤️. Allah bless you all 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Fantastic! People that dance donot make war... I danced all my life! All kinds of dancing! In 2 months I hope to become 80 years old now and many times , hearing music like yours for instance, I have to dance and feel much better :-) Thank you for the wonderful video! :-)
Thank you for all that information it is the most beautiful dance in the whole world and that music and the people very very beautiful I can't get enough I love it I even try to dance it over here I love good music good happy people it seems everybody's happy I like that and a lot of unity thank you again
I tell you one thing, you guys need to put in contact with the Lebanese community in Colombia, I never see them dancing dabke is very sad. I learned about dabke this week on RUclips never see this in Colombia. Thanks for the video.
Love it! Thank you for providing this information. We ,re certainly not properly informed about the people and culture of the middle east. It is refreshing to see young men enjoying themselves and how it goes across all generations. Thank you.
I enjoy all kinds of cultural dancing. I enjoy watching dabke very much and love the creativity and the energy and joy. I just found out through my dna test that I have Levant blood in me. So I am enjoying getting to know more about this culture. Thank you for this documentary.
Thank you for this informational video. I so enjoy watching you all dance, and admire your moves, your music, the drums, and also your smiles! It is an obvious way for you all to share your heritage and brings you a closeness. By inviting outsiders, or people like me to watch and listen, is good for us all. We can admire you and understand. Also, I think it's very important that we hold on to all our differences and keep them alive. With the internet and technology, the world becomes more close, more homogenized. While that is so very good, it is also very beautiful that we are very different in ways. We need to hold on to certain things that make us each different and exciting. Thank you again, and hello from Minnesota!!
Love watch and learning the history this dance makes my ❤️ happy 😁 🥰 I watch these videos for my anxiety and depression my sad days become very HAPPY THANK YOU
May the God of the heavens always rain down prosperity upon the heads of your family members. I as your black sister applaud you for spreading the truth and beauty of retaining culture and traditions. I get kind of emotional every time I see these celebratory dances. Why not take this into the city communities and teach the youth. Our society is dying for the lack of all types of rights of passage. They are simply desperate for it. With love and respect ❤️
Very interesting, thanks! Going down on the knees like that is also very good for the knees because it improves the production of synovial fluid in the joints.
I'm a dancer and have yet to make it to an Arab wedding (or any gathering) with dabke! It's such fun to watch, but I gotta join in some day 😅🙏 Thanks for this:)
For me this is being the best free style dabke group ever, what happened to all this.guys now? Are they stil making videos or they just not on RUclips anymore? I haven't see them togueter
It's similar to our punjabi culture and dance form bhangra, lot of leg and foot work. It needs fire energy. I just love dabke, even in Punjabi dabke literally means pressing with foot, I really enjoy watching dabke and feeling happy to learn about it. Thank you. please provide the link for dabke music/songs. would love to listen.
I knew these guys were all buddies and hang out together....I've seen them dancing together a lot ...I'm glad I stumbled onto this video...I like seeing the backstory of the people in the videos...sorry to say it is homophobia in some countries that don't understand the holding hands part of Dabke...it is a social bonding expression used in many societies especially patriarchal societies....like one guy said it symbolizes brotherhood and UNITY...cultural ignorance is one of the biggest causes that divide humanity...ok, I learned the towel, cane or beads is called a rosemary...hmmm..I saw Wassim Mrhe's name in the credits but didn't see him in the video....thanks for the upload Roshdi ...wish it was longer
Zoom Tube yeah i understood the rosemary part I had never heard anyone say what the prop was called .... I have seen people use a cloth, beads and some times a cane
There is absolutely nothing less than manly about dabke or its dancers. These guys are amazing. They are gathered as brothers in unity. Thanks for the video and explanation 👍👏😊😁

I love debke - there is something about it that speaks to ancient parts of my soul. I could watch this video over and over and over.

Ehab Alajami steals hearts with his dance moves and not only... aww, I wish I could watch them dance in person, where they could teach me :)
They won't because, we are Beautiful Women. They rather dance with boys and other men.

That’s called a “mejwez” which is often composed via keyboard
