Quick Question... so the black strips you show are used to fill in the gaps? Could you possibly show us a how to with the doors being able to open? You have a great eye for depth and color. Thanks for a great video.

Hi Jypsyy sorry for the delay in response. The black strips are included in the mold to be as little shelves if someone wanted, there are several different sizes. I just used them to fill the gaps on this piece since the doors are glued closed. If you check the Facebook Zuri group I believe I saw some projects created with the doors open. Thank you for watching the video and I'll be sure to do a project with doors open and post 😁

Wow!!!! This is amazing. I already ordered it. I see below you said you used a black resin. Are you talking about a Black Epoxy Resin (2 Part)? I have never used resin so I want to be sure I have the right kind. And do I need to do anything to the mold to allow the resin to pop out as it did in the video. I have many molds but I have always used clay. I want to use what you used. It's stunning!!!!

Hi Tammy, yes it is two part resin. I use Smooth-Cast Onyx Fast - Ultra-Black Urethane Resin, I usually buy it on Amazon I have also used Alumilite Amazing Casting Resin alot. I prefer the black only because it is easier to cover with the black gesso 😃 but you can use white and paint black. You don't need to do anything to the mold, unlike with clay resin comes out of the molds very easy. Let me know if you try and please share your project 🥰

This is gorgeous - would it be possible for you to list the other products that you used? Have now subscribed for more of your beautiful work. Thank you

Hi Annie, thank you for subscribing. In order I used the two molds listed above, however on the Baroque Frames I cut pieces of the frame to use this is the accent pieces used in greenish color.
Black Resin - any brand will do
Brass Patina Effect Paste - Prima (Finnabair Products)
Liquid acrylics Emerald Green, Tiger Orange, Carmin Red, & Burnt Sienna - Art Alchemy (Finnabair Products)
Metallic Wax Paste Bora Bora, Venetian Gold, Phoenix Blaze - Zuri Inc
Itd Collection Rice Paper R1735 (part of the Elven Valley collection)
Soft Gloss Gel to cover the rice paper - Art Basics (Finnabair Products)
Heavy Body Gel by Art Basic (Finnabair Products) - this is what I use to glue everything
finished with some misc filagree items and melange pebbles colored with alcohol ink
      I hope that helps 🙂

If you could just hold each product up to the camera before you use it and/or add screen text telling what each item is as you begin to use it, that would be awesome. This was a beautiful piece! Thanks

Love your painting techniques. Do the turquoise and green liquid acrylics look metallic/translucent because of the wax undercoat. They look really luminous.

    • @dolphindelitedesignz
      @dolphindelitedesignz  Год назад +1

they are somewhat translucent when used with the water and they are glossy when they dry so I think that is where it is coming from in combination with the waxes

Quick question. This is absolutely gorgeous, magical. The spray you used with the liquid acrylics, I believe that's the items they were, was it alcohol or water? There's so many different products just alittle hard to keep track of with no commentary but your reply to a complete list was very helpful. Have subscribed and looking forward to seeing your other videos.

HI Margaret, it's water and I agree it can be hard to tell. I hope to be able to do the voice over's soon and "lives" in the near future. Thank you for your support 😊
