Kam, I absolutely 100% know what you’re saying right now 9:45 & I pray you see this, because I too have said those things. From a house with dog droppings, trash, holes in the floor, literally freezing (I could set a drink on the floor of my room near a window and it would freeze in cold Midwest winters) showers that don’t work, sinks with no hot water, toilets that would barely flush, sometimes even mice, and always flys.. I know. I just moved into a new home as well, brand new home, less than 6 months old and the feeling when I walked into my home, it released a level of happiness and self pride knowing I broke the curse. I’m so happy that you are able to have that. An amazing father and partner to Tricia.. you’re so more than deserving.
Kam never be embarrassed about your past bc it's what made you who you are today and if your followers love you(really love you) then they should not be mean. We've all got a past but it built us into who we are today. I can't wait to see the house.

June 28th is a special day in our home, so that’s what I’m guessing. ☺️ Congratulations, to you all! 🎉🎉🎉 This is quite an achievement that some people never get to experience in life. I can say that home ownership is amazing, yet a life lesson by itself. My husband & I built the same house we live in now 20 years ago. Ironically, today is our 20th wedding anniversary. (05.22.04 💕) But those 20 years as home owners taught us A LOT!! 😅 Fortunately, we have more cherished memories in our home than I can count right now. And that’s what matters most… creating special memories together as a family. ☺️ I pray your family will always share amazing experiences together in your new home! 💖 Love y’all!! Keep up the great work!

Aww Kam I know exactly how that feels. I grew up in a home with roaches and mice. My mom was a hoarder, and I was never allowed to have friends over. I always felt left out when no one invited me to their house bc they couldn’t come to mine. I may never be rich but my kids will never live in an unsanitary environment! You should be so proud that you overcame that and doing better for yourself and your family❤ much love guys

Get the fridge that sits flush and then have another fringe for the basement. If you're going to host parties or get together's a second fridge will serve you well anyway. I've always found having two very helpful.

I would say, instead of using the word embarrassed use the word humbled because my friends growing up all had houses and backyards and pools and nice kitchens and all that as for me, I lived in a small rundown apartments. I never liked having my friends over because I felt like I had nothing to offer or I thought I would be, but at the end of the day, I was always grateful because my parents did what they needed to do to make sure my sister had what we needed so the fact that you guys are giving your baby the life you guys never had and more just shows how much you care and willing to sacrifice to make these things happen for you guys! Absolutely love the journey and you guys🥰🩵

When kam opened up about saying “the living room looked the best it could” I know exactly that feeling.. well atleast my feeling of embarrassment with having any friend over. Not sure if it’s the same circumstance but I was the only one who ever tried to clean even at a young age.. & it took me years before I felt comfortable to even invite MY bestfriend who I knew for a long time… go to my house.

It’s a big difference Kam when you rent you deal with the esthetics of the apartment. I vote Tricia refrigerator should be even with wall to create a flawless design. Your handles to your appliances should be similar to give a cohesive design unless you’re going for an eclectic look. I am so excited can’t wait to see the house and all the furnishings this is my favorite part decorating. Congratulations again! Kam all I can say for you is your latter days are greater and you’re seeing it right now in comparison to your past. Embrace it there is more to come.
