Virtual Bart (Genesis) Speedrun (WR) in

This game is kinda unique despite its general awfulness. Running Virtual Bart takes you across a plethora of cliche platforming game environments, and even 2 (two!) ice levels. sadistic. I ran Virtual Bart on Sega Mega Drive Classics on steam. It's an amazing, officially licensed emulator that is a lot of fun to play, you get 100's of Genesis games along with it including community-made mods, i recommend it.
Levels in order of playing:
Pig level: 0:22
Dinosaur Level 6:28
Baby level: 11:00
Mount Splashmore: 14:08
Tomato Level (the good level): 15:36
Motorcycle level: 19:07
Improved on previous record about 1 minute. I 1-cycled 3 of the ice blocks on the pig level which save 15 seconds each. Dinosaur boss I have gotten the 2 hits per cycle more consistent. There is still plenty of time that can come off. I had a couple of deaths on dinosaur, tomato level i lost maybe 30 seconds, and the motorcycle level was just eh.

The graphics definitely are better than the SNES one. As are some of the voice samples. The music however is a different story. That circus level sounds like the monkeys got loose and started going bananas on the pipe organ.

sometimes i watch speedruns to see how the game continued, in this case i was so bad at the game i didnt even know the levels here

i loved this game as a kid, side note, when i was a kid i had NO IDEA bart could use his diaper as a parachute in baby form. getting to the circus without parachute became natural to me which wasnt easy and i learn about 10 years after you can parachute? i felt like such a retard LOL!!!

This game was fucking impossible to beat for kids. I dont know why they made it so hard. The difficulty took all the fun away. I hated it

Impressive that you beat it, because even to the standards at the time, the game was terrible. Too much trial and error, too little lives, awful rest points.
