i'm really thankful that you're playing part 2, because it feels like apart from you and nohr, the entire group of people i subscribed to for HI3 content has dropped it to focus on HSR and ZZZ, which for me is a huge bummer (i lost a lot of enthusiasm for HSR after penacony and i never got into ZZZ). i feel like people are really missing out on what is currently the best story among the hoyo games. my jaw dropped at the aria scene. i haven't had that visceral of a reaction in a long time

Yeah, as someone who started with HSR, I recently got into HI3 due to the collab and ended up being more emotionally invested in it.
Can't blame them honestly. The first 3 chapters felt very unimportant and very disjointed from the current chapters. When it was revealed that everything was a simulation, I can't help but to think that the writers had to change the story direction at some point. I believe the rest of us are still playing this game because we know that they can do better. I won't say we have the best story now but at least we're back on track.
I openly called these people traitors, don’t care about bans etc. screw them, racers for hypetrains and views
I'm so happy that you're still streaming and covering Honkai Impact 3rd Part 2, it deserves so much more love & attention than it gets, especially after the recent chapters.
I really loved how dark this chapter got. It was genuinely really great, the writers still haven't lost their edge when it comes to being Dark AF and having brutal deaths. I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens in the next update. *But if Dark Helia becomes playable in 8.2, my wallet is so COOKED.* 😂

Man, this chapter...
In terms of emotional impact definitely the strongest in P2 right now.
We got so much food for thought.
I'm interested in a LOT of things, but some concepts stand out the most:
1) Machine vs Flesh
Hood Helia stated that she wanted to kill our Helia (let's call her the Prime).
Due to Prime's choices that led Coralie to meet her demise? Her hesitation and lack of decisiveness in the face of adversity?
Alternate Helia’s reluctance may not be genuine rejection but rather a deliberate test. By withholding guidance or offering it conditionally (e.g., forcing the Prime to sacrifice metaphorical aspects of herself), alternate Helia might aim to forge the Prime into someone capable of overcoming hesitation and embracing resolve.
We saw that she's a cyborg of some sorts. You could see the outline of the mechanical limbs. I doubt it's a battlesuit, but there's still a possibility.
She sought to eliminate the vulnerabilities of her human body-frailty, mortality, and emotional distraction.
There is a very clear Cartesian dualism - her choice reflects a stark separation of mind and body, where the body is seen as a mere vessel - a hindrance rather than an integral part of identity.
Her mechanical form symbolizes absolute resolve and dehumanization. She has literally reshaped herself into a weapon, stripping away any indication of humanity to achieve her goals. This transformation stands as both her greatest strength and her greatest tragedy.
Alternate Helia might see the Prime as a reminder of her former self - weak, hesitant, and unwilling to sacrifice everything. Helping the Prime could feel like invalidating her own choices and sacrifices.
2) The Eye
In the previous chapter, we saw it in the Prime's mindscape. Her decaying mental state probably was the trigger for her manifestation there in the first place.
Was it Her gaze? Or is it alternate Helia's one? It was crying. Likely, tears of vengeful sorrow. She couldn't bear witnessing what our Helia is about to become.
P.S Also, the theory I mentioned towards the end. I will just copy-paste it.
theory as follows: in quantum mechanics you can create entangled bits with opposite states and knowing state of one is equivalent of knowing the state of the other without checking it priorly… so here’s what I think - alternative Helia and Coralie versions are the entangled counterpart to the original Helia and Coralie and the opposite state in question is whether they will live or die - that’s why Alternative Helia wants to kill “our” Helia - it’s because she “must” do that if she wants to live; and since Alternative Coralie is deadge, then it must mean that ours lives
It's just Houkai in a nutshell - manifesting inverted persona to confuse, subdue and destroy you.
Oversimplified but I think you get the picture)

Anyone's down in the rabbit hole with me? That calamity Helia is from the previous samsara of Earth before PEra but because of the past present and future times is intertwined telling by Memokeeper and the Mars quantum computer make it that somehow that Helia is appearing now.

Just completed this chapter myself and honestly i am feeling even more hopeful about our coralie now because... defying fate is one of the biggest things in honkaiverse. If coralie's fate is dying like how dark helia said then i believe even more that OUR coralie will defy fate. Also bianka saying she and everyone else holding out hope also gives me hope as well
So all the flashbacks helia was having with the 15th calamity and stuff was dark helia's memories and experiences right?, is it the history of mars maybe, that went through 15 calamities before the quantum computer?
No it was only one Impact.
Everything else in simulation are "if" traps agains external influence in similar fashion of GGZ's Dr.MEI had for her mechs - inner universe that had onion alike layered defences full of illogical ifs that broke majority of Houkai atrack on logic core of the ai(no matter the size(mech ai or quantum simulated Samsara), logic on any scale is still logic).

Cosmology in honkai was vast long before HSR and mhy trying to expand world building to galaxy lvl(hence the codename of upcoming game - Galaxial), not only few clusters like HSR.
To understand bigger picture you need to dig into the past - GGZ Outerversal lore.

If you guys find Vita very annoying, one funny way to make it better is to remember that almost everyone in the room (Theresa, Mei, Bronya) is probably more than capable to finish her off.

@@deschia_ Vita is not Sa, I'm pretty sure at this point in the story, she's more powerful than her, considering she took her power during their last confrontation.
'Less than a herrscher' is a vague statement since not all herscherr have comparable power (Wendy is not comparable to Ana and both are not comparable to Senti for example).
At this current time, the only one confirmed to be stronger than Vita is Kiana herself.
I do not think they can. Maybe Fu Hua can as she was battling Sa directly. Simlarly Kiana can too.
I am FU🚫ING FLABBERGASTED at the fact that helia despite ALL OF THE SIGHNS OF GOING APE SH🚫, she STILL. NEVER. CRASHED OUT!!! To the point the story said "FINE I'll do it MY SELF!!!" and LITERALLY have an evil alternate of her self go berserk. Lol weather you recover before you go herrscher or after you STILL have to fight your honkai self, GAD DAMN IT HOYO 🫠☠️
