I totally understand where you're coming from. We all go through hardships and must do whatever's necessary to make ends meet. I see nothing wrong with that whatsoever, and I admire you for it. It's called "survival", and I'm proud of you for making such a hard decision. Should the need ever arise, I would not hesitate one single minute about selling my TF figures to feed myself, keep a roof over my head, and feed my little dog. It shows you have priorities and I applaude you for it.
Your Tone Of Voice Is One That I Have To Get Used To...But Your Reviews Are Second To None! Every Single One Of Them Is EXTREMELY Well Done, And You Make Me Proud To Be A G1 Collector!
Those toys were even robots to begin with. They were actually mechs for smaller figures that would sit where the heads of Ironhide/Ratchet are supposed to be. When Hasbro put them in the transformers line, they just put stickers over the mech seat to make it their faces/heads. I do think under the transformers line they could have made some modifications to the toy to better represent their cartoon appearance
you truly are...THE ULTIMATE G1 REVIEWER!!!!!!!!!! You've put forth the most effort I have seen in any reviewer that deals with these classic toys, once again you are the apex reviewer and whatever you do after this will no doubt be any different. As always terrific review and I hope they continue.
Me and my brother had a few of those. He had Optimus Prime and I had some of the Dino Bots & Blaster and some of his tapes. I was a tomboy! I had more boy toys than girl toys. Lol.. Pretty sure my brother still has our Transformers.
Not to be a jerk, but you're missing the three Power Dashers, Camshaft, Downshift, Overdrive, Topspin, Twintwist, Roadbuster, Whirl, the Minispies, Autoceptor, Deceptor, Kaltor and Bumper (otherwise known as Bumblejumper.)
@@dene39 Ultra Magnus was absolutely in Generation 1. He was introduced in the movie, then made repeated appearances as a commander in the Autobot army throughout season 3.
I liked & enjoyed your review a lot. It's apparent you put a lot of time & effort into your presentation and your figures are well taken care of. Absolutely beautiful! I hope you aren't going to sell them. I grew up with Transformers and still like them 30 years later. I'll always be a kid at heart and hope to never grow out of it.
really cool thanks for displaying all the generation 1 autobots before the movie. I'm trying to finish up a collection of G1 transformers that look most like how they were in the cartoon. :)
You have inspired me to start collecting G1 transformers again! Just like you I'm collecting show only characters. I've already got all the insecticons, throttlebots, minibots, and am working toward getting all the cassettes.
I had quite alot of these back then, my favorite was Sludge, great transformation. A friend of mine had Optimus, that felt really premium back than, being metal and all. Awesome collection man, hold on to that! My aunt bought all of them off' me for 50 bucks like 25 years ago, so much regret..
Hey, i am a G1 fan. i think you did a good job showing all of the bots. I agree that there was too many mini bots. I am looking forward to seeing a Decepticon overview. keep up the good work for you are a true Transformer universe follower..
Omg!! I almost cried when I saw your awesome collection bro! I have some of those but not as in good shape as yours due to I played alot with them, still the mayority survived "with scratches, no labels or incomplet" but they are originals and inspit of their condition, my son and I love to display them and now and then play with them.
Where did you get the "3rd Party head" for Rachet? I don't ever remember seeing those. Rachet and Iron Hide were the exact same toy, just different colors and had a sticker with a face on the "seat" behind the windshield. They were both in the group of Autobots that flew the transport ship and among the first to get killed, along with Brawn and ?? 0_0 ... (man I'm getting old... I can't remember who the the 4th was, it's been a while since I saw it) near the start of the 1986 movie.
Awesome collection :) . I once had a whole slew of g1 autobots & decepticon figures. Sadly they were givin away not by choice. Ty for sharing. Could you do a review of your favorite autobot & decepticon figure?
Great in depth review. I personally always liked the minibots. It was easier sneaking those out of the house and into school in my pocket. The tapes were even better for that. It is a shame that once the cartoon series took off in the 80's that they did not reissue cartoon accurate Ironhide or Ratchet since it was obvious the cartoon was not following the original toy design.
was thinking the same thing. it's a great review. Just wondering why those characters weren't added. Or the Omnibots, the powerdashers , the mail-away watch, and the autobot mini-spies. Not added because they weren't in the cartoon?
Suggestion: Don't use Comic-Sans as your main fount for the tech specks and everything else, please. Comics -Sans looks ridiculous and doesn't really fight in with transformers.
Well this is going to be a mixed emotion message. Congrats on your recent union! All my best wishes to you! But saddened you lost your treasure. Very terribly sorry, man. I honestly feel for you. At least you have your videos to remember them by.
Ah, so the difference between ratchet and first aid is ironic as ratchet’s function was a medic, and first aid is a doctor. Guess Hound and even First Aid themselves were confused about their functions as far as the series goes lol
I have been picking these up on ebay for a couple of years. My plan is to enjoy them for about 15to18 years and then resell them.Do you think that is A good investment or not considering the people or kids that bought and played with these will be pushing 60 years old.Or is the younger crowd into these still or do they buy the newer ones.I am 43 if that has any bearing.
Another awesome video of an awesome collection, I really love watching these. Just like I said for your Decepticon video, I was also able to find Kup before the movie, but again it was like only weeks before.
Awesome , do you have the mail away 'Omnibots' ,Camshaft , Downshift and Overdrive? they where released before the movie i think , had camshaft...he rocked sadly sold my g1 last year due to personal issues , but it's itching again .. starting up slowly again . I agree before movie had better toys...but oh god i LOVED my Trypticon! Cheers
I really enjoy your review alot,im still collecting them till thise day,i wish it was me who bought them from you you sold them really cheap, but some times you do what u got to do :-)
Hi! I sent you a link to pics of my G1 collection of 40+ transformers I am trying to sell as a lot. I was hoping for advice how to find the Hasbro imprint on Metroplex and where the battery goes in on the Trypticon so I can see if it runs.
Awesome video and cool concept that you ranked and averaged them out! Curious about Camshaft, Downshift and Overdrive, the mail order only toys. I think that was 85. But i can't remember if they came with tech specs.
It made more sense when the toys where a part of the diaclone or micro change lines. The transforming vehicles were driven by one inch robots while larger robots would disguise themselves as household items.
If you ever want to get back into reviewing G1 transformers, I would recommend reviewing Whirl. Now, he WAS released in 1985, but he didn't appear in the series. However he is a very good figure and was the first toy to ever use ball joints, so that's pretty cool. He comes with loads of weapons, plus I love watching your reviews and I'd love to see you review him.
Great review. But I have a few quistions (like I had with the Decepticons). Why didnt you include Roadbuster, Whirl, Twintwist and Topsin? And maybe even the Omnibots and the Powerdashers (you included Reflector). And I understand that you dont include Rodimus Prime, Kup and such. But was the following transformers also realesed after the movie? Broadside, Sandstorm and Springer?

Excellent video. Beautiful collection! I have every Transformer from 1984-1986. I love the head you have for Ratchet. It looks like you added a face in Omega Supreme too. Where can you find heads for Ratchet, Iron Hide, and the face for Omega Supreme?
the good thing to say about these were that there were different range in prices and if you couldnt afford optimus or grimlock but maybe you could get beachcomber or brawn
May i say i THOROUGHLY enjoyed your presentation! I wish i kept all my toys *(and you have the boxes too!?!! AMAZING!) I still have my comics though. In Canada, we can buy the Marvel US & Marvel UK comics-and i have most of them

You said it. That was the strangest design choice Hasbro ever made.
Takara made the design, not Hasbro.

Ultra Magnus was available before the movie.
+Elton L McMahon In 1985! In 1986 the 2nd one came out.

It is so cool that you did this, lining them up in this scientific order. Liked and favorited!
Awesome video. I appreciate the time you put into this. It makes me realize how complete my pre movie collection is at this point. Thanks again.
I seriosly kind of didn't care about transformers anymore, I just didn't get nostalgic for some reason. thanks man bc this video gets me back
