Very exciting race, heartbreak for Shimakura but a really nice move from you there to respond to his from just a couple laps earlier.
Yeah I was worried at the time I’d bullied him into the gravel but I think he just tried to keep his foot in while giving me space.

Great race Ben! That kink before the corkscrew is such a delicate part of this track! You negotiated super well in early laps and did a great push at the end. Really enjoyed this mate!
Cheers Lorenzo! The F3 cars are so enjoyable to try and guide through Laguna on the limit. Got to push but be super precise…which I wasn’t a couple of times 😂
Wow, great race. To finish in that position would feel like a win to me being in a top split.
Ha yeah it reminds me of how F1 used to be where the top three teams were well clear, and the rest could only compete for like 7th position. Only this is entirely based on skill and not unequal car performance 😂😂😂

Ah thanks buddy - yeah it’s a brilliant car! I’m enjoying the super formula lights just now, but the F3 is a bit more challenging and probably more fun to drive as a result!
You gotta try the 488 at silver stone this week, feels like the car just slides through every corner it’s insane

Thanks Jim! It’s a tricky one as be too passive and you get mugged right left and centre!! Enjoyable race though, and despite the various mistakes, a pretty clean one too
@@Ben_LaBroca it’s such a hard call to make at the start of a race, hold position and defend (and risk being punted) or be a bit pragmatic and let the guy past (as those type of drivers inevitably ‘bin it’ in a corner or two). I think you made some good calls! See you out there 👍🏻

Hi Ben, great video once again! Can you move the slowdown bar a bit lower? At the moment your delta overlay is covering it (ALT+K in sim lets you do it)

Beware that if you occasionally happened to get in top split, and usually you don't, then it means that this top split is actually slower then it usually is. So the question from title is not necessarily answered.
