For the fence posts, you could build a fire or use a butane torch and surface char the ends going into the ground, or do the whole post. It helps prevent the wood from rotting and acts like a natural pressure treating method.

It’s normal for him to do that. But good to introduce them slowly next to each other. They are establishing pecking order where he shows them he’s in charge. Be careful with the leaves. Mold may become an issue.
Do you have to worry about wild animals a lot? Obviously it's always good to be cautious about these things, but how often do you see any come around ? Is it mostly foxes?(The chicken coop looks nice!)
