I worked in Manly/Dee Why 35 years ago for a month, brought my wife along for our first anniversary and drove by this course every day. Always wanted to go back and play it because it was just such a stunning course but never made it back. Thanks for helping me remember a beautiful time in my life.
Back on 31 Dec 2021, (my birthday), playing with my brother and a few mates. My brother is slightly a chunky monkey, doesn’t play much, bum crack sweating all day, slicey dicey, loosey goosey, more putts than a putt putt course. We step up to the 13th (he’s left handed) and smacks the biggest hook out to the paraglider’s (the ball was picked up on ATC radar it was so far out), brings it back, lands on the front of the green and it dribbles in for a hole in one 31st December is no longer known as my birthday, it’s my brothers hole in one day
Long Reef is a challenging track, the young man will have to bring his A game. Been waiting for this one all day, put my dinner in the oven, honey, Ron's on!
Mate, just watching you again, but I just wanted to say I’m an Adelaide local and since you played at mt compass I have been down there 3 times, I got a blind 79 first round, thinking your recommendation was spot on, then an 88 then a 92, I think I had a Ron honeymoon period, then it all went to st demonsville, although had a wicked tail wind on the 7th down the hill and had a 150 easy 7 in, eagle putt, I salute to you, I said that was for Ron. Luv ya buddy
First comment I've made on RUclips - Ron, I don't care what you're coffee order is, however, Joel, your long macchiato topped 3/4filled almond milk special extra hot triple shot made me spew. Many thanks, Ben.
Great work again, I'm a little worried about Joel , he was obviously a little under the weather at the beginning. But good news I found him a friend. Walking down the path behind the 17th green 💚. Great bunker shot Ron just needed a little brown sauce with your egg. Thanks again you 3😂
Grew up at Collaroy Beach. I caddied for Des Lofthouse from 10yrs to 16 yrs Sat & Sun. 1968 to 1974 Des was always first start out at 5:30am (summer) collecting his bag of balls as Des hit them to me on the range, then 6am out of the starters box 6:30am (winter) No question about the weather come sun, rain, cold or too hot we sere out. Such memories watching your clip here Ron, even if the course has change a bit. Some days it was torture, offshore winds and being an avid board rider, just pining to out at the reef catching waves rather than being polite and gentlemanly in long pants for Des and his playing partners. ""His crown was worn in the 50s and 60s by Des Lofthouse who won more Club Championships than any other player (12). Since the early 70s things have been more"" Ron "what beach is that, Manly"" Fisherman's with Collaroy next to it. Well Done Ron Even Par.
if there is a new ron i can happily click the like before watching as it is ALWAYS great entertainment ....gotta get you a bigger stage ....try to invite peter finch down here or get a ticket to go over there for a match as i think you 2 would hit it off and you would get a huge uptick in subscribers allowing you to do more and grow more and get at this full time ....besides the family and such , i guess if you really must
the sight of no trees makes people feel more confident, but not hitting the ball in the fairway you get punished with even stances which then impacts your yardage. Wind also changes frequently from hole to hole. Great course to play

Brilliant that Ron You need to find the greenkeeper who put that water on the course as he knew you was coming and wanted you to drop a shot as he knew his course couldn't beat you
Not a fan of Gary. Two suggestions for change. New putter called Georgia, Greek for Earth Worker. Guaranteed 25 putts per round. Also, what about weakening your right hand on putter grip so it reduces tension in your right bicep and forearm. You cannot get to the point like a claw grip where you arm will hang naturally but if you lessen the tension in your arm by weakening your right hand on the putter, it might help. Not as much as Georgia though. It's all about Georgia. Change is as good as a rest right? Thanks for the quality content. Always look forward to the banter and little nuggets from Joel like "Yeah, i woulda chipped that"
I feel your pain with Garry, he’s a traitor…I had the same at Mandurah Country club yesterday…and don’t trust Garry, he’s lulling you into a false sense of security.
nothing wrong with Gary. what ever you do, don't get into the habit of reversing the putter path after you hit it. make it finish and STOP it still, the same distance you draw it back. problems fixed.
Time for a NEW Garry???
Mate you gotta treat gary better
Time to get a LAB putter chop
Yup, gotta be a LAB DF3
New LAB putter = "the professor"
Scooooter
you need to do more videos one every two weeks is tooo long for your comedy :D
I can't tell you how much I love watching your videos. You inspire me and entertain me at the same time. ⛳👏

Shame about the weather, Long Reef is gorgeous on a nice sunny morning.
Looking forward to rehoming Gary when the chance comes up 😉
Greatest lines… I have a head you want to hit… I know. 😂 closely followed by you take less putts when you hit it closer 🤣🤣.
Another great video.
The dulcet tones of the calming ocean drowned out that meow

He played short tees but he is a good player
Great vid Ron. Very entertaining. Hole 10 was my favourite.😅
On behalf of all Gary’s, never give up on the Gary. He will always be there for you. Gary has your back!!!
Entertaining! Funny guy! Good player. Long Reef Golf Course looked great.
This dude is the Russel Coight of golf. Hillarious
We need more RON, 1 vid a week and a new Gary 😂
Such a good course. I played it a few years ago now and loved it. I played terribly, but was happy all the same because it is a great track.

Hey Mal. It's been a while. Hope you are well. Geoff
When’s the next video coming out I can’t stop watching you love the content !!!
Ronald “I’ve got a head you’d want to punch”
Joel “I know, I know”
😂😂
As a Canadian former ice hockey player. There was some fancy stick handling on a couple of greens. Solid day well done 😊

Your videos are soo underrated man
Ron - I hope you are heading down to The Coast in little bay as well!
Thank you for the map, great start Ron, with a name like Gary would you expect. Be nice😂
Even par with 8 pars..A rollercoaster is an understatement🤣
Love the camera work on the approach shots into the greens. Zooms in on the pin and the ball is nowhere to be seen. 😂😂😂😂
This course would suit my "Gazzarang" power fade way more than that Bonville place!!
I liked the jumper - as that blue band on your shirt always looks like your pants have dropped.
Birdie on 7 off green and the response cracked me up🤣
I'd buy Gary a studded leather putter cover. He seems to like being talked dirty to.

When are you playing the kiwis? Are you taking your own yellow sandpaper or will you grab some there?
@@jamiemcneill3888 hahaha wooooah
Joel is an “ideas man” (hit it closer)😂
G A R Y ! Where’s the loyalty?!
"bouncebackability"! You've been watching Bryan Bros....
Bryan brothers have been watching Ron
Good game mate.
This round of golf is called! Snakes & Ladders
First hole , first shot, thought I was playing darts ol' Mate.
LAB putter time can call it LARRY
You blokes have definitely made a few videos that’s for sure
He’s better as a caddy than a cameraman. Lol
Gary’s going over the cliffs
Hi mate what other courses you playing in Sydney? NSW is out for renovations but St Mick's great course too
@@jasoncarter541 we still have stonecutters and Mt Broughton to go 👍 Bonville video came out last week 👌
My recommendations have come up with this or a series 1 episode 1 of Swift and Shift repeat 🤔
RIP Gary
Gary needs a make over he's a Gary one R who has lost his R and that grip is definitely Gary no R
Gary: Sometimes Maybe Good! Sometimes Maybe Sh!t!
You need to play Toco golf it would be hilarious!!

Weird choice of course Ron, must have had a cancellation I’m guessing
Good place to fly rc gliders
You boys need to go to Thailand and play some of the 20 something course's round Pattaya and take in some of the night-life and culture!!
I’ll give you 2 slabs of guinness for Gary.
Overseas trip next Ronald?
Come on Ron I'm disappointed to early for a sherbet, that's an argument you can have with big Red.
I feel your pain with Garry, he’s a traitor…I had the same at Mandurah Country club yesterday…and don’t trust Garry, he’s lulling you into a false sense of security.
If you ever decide you'd like to film in Slog and colour grade let me know. Would bring another element to these clips.
Love it
Fab!
Did the green-keeper put the junior flags out?
@@ziister they get a really strong breeze there! Normal sized flags don’t last

Gary needs to jog on. And the Seaview comments cut too close to the bone, having played there this Sunday and put one on the beach… literally.
28:08 Divine wisdom
If Gary is going, Raffle him off at a dollar a ticket.
Get a LAB!
Nice beard. Rick Shiels?
Ron hasn’t putter well since he cricked his neck
"FUCKIN GARRY"
Another good video, Ron. Played well, but gaz didn't.
Btw can i like get an opportunity to design your next thumbnail? I wont let you down.
Time for a lab mate
I wonder how many attempts are made on the putts before he sinks them?
Brutal!
