Difficult to master and being broken are not mutually exclusive. Ever saw Fox in SSB Melee? That character is beyond broken, yet you basically require robotic hands to exploit his broken shit to the maximum. I agree that scythe is very hard to learn in comparison to, like, axe, but still: if you learn it, you'll be in a way better spot than most people since you've got a weapon that requires everyone else to put much more effort into punishing you than the other way around.

Sam Hughes it's really the complete opposite. Scythe requires more specific timing and inputs because it's so quick, and with active input you have to make sure you don't do the wrong variation of the move.
The scythe is basically the weapon of combos. Just like bayonetta from smash bros. And people hate bayonetta in smash bros. So since the scythe is basically the same thing people will hate on the scythe too because its pretty much inescapable if you get caught in any of the strings/combos. (And no 7 frames or less to dodge a hit is not enough.) ((Im high plat))
Dodge windows. Scythe has a million dodge windows and only one true combo that’s rare to hit stops working after 50 damage. There’s nothing you can do about true combos but getting read is your fault.
