Thanks for having the rare, good common sense to show the rather complex name of the the person who discovered this. This video was my introduction to this subject. Peace
I just discovered this and I think it will help with my recovery. I died and was in a coma and have memory loss. I did not even know who i was. Anyway here I am. Thanks and I love your work!!!❤
Flow arts create a hypnotic state. I believe personally that it connects us to source energy. You know it's working when you lose track of time. Time loss is a marker of being in a hypnotic state. I've known this for 30+ years. I learned it in hypnosis school. It was part of my Nuero Linguistic Programming course when I became a hypnotherapist. Sometimes it is called process art.
Hey! Thank you so much for making this art video. I am bipolar/ptsd/ dyslexia/ depressed/ sad. Lately, I cant even do art like I use to. So, I'm going to try this type of art,and maybe it will help me. Thanks again. Love your art talent!
So happy I came across your video. Having Parkinson’s disease I battle with my neurons on a daily basis LOL. I’ve been studying neurographic art for a while but your interpretation went to a different level. Love the mixed media approach. Thank you for providing me with an abundance of new ideas . Can’t wait to see what comes out of my brain now! Many blessings!
Absolutely! I’m going to take some time to play around with all these new ideas. I’m sure eventually I will feel comfortable enough to share my creations with you. Thanks again for your inspiration!
as a person with a brain injury and also a person who does similar design art..I enjoyed how you described and showed your version of neurographic art. Here's to no rules healing! beautiful work :)
I love this art form. It has helped me through stress and pain. 100% recommend. You don't have to be an artist and all you need for color is crayons if it's all you have or short financially. 😊 It's awsome and works.
You are the absolute best. Your stance and thoughts and the ways you share and carry yourself and the concepts and being not the same as other people .. it is a delight. I am neuro-atypical, and your ways of being are some kind of medicine of the soul. Thank you for sharing your self, as well as your art and process.
I used to do this all the time back in the 70's when I was like 12! I didn't know I was doing Neurographic Art! Who knew?! So... is it really new? Or is it that this doctor connected and harnessed something kids naturally do? Either way, it's cool.
Have just found neuropathic art in the last few days and have been talking about it with my seriously ill artist daughter. She told me she had found you and being dyslexic, immediately resonated with your words and work.I literally got off the phone to find your video in my RUclips feed. There are no such things as coincidences. Now, onto my next creation, its so calming/cathartic.
I discovered neurographic art a few weeks ago and have been hooked since. One of my special interests is how the brain makes connections between two disparate ::waves hands:: things and I love how this brings ideas together.
Lovely video. I’ve just “discovered” neurographic art myself. I’ve always been drawn and attracted to patterns that show a fractal, or Fibonacci sequence in them. They bring me a sense of inner peace and calm, and order in my otherwise fractured, neurodivergent brain. I enjoyed watching you paint and draw. I particularly like how you used non-waterproof black pen here and allowed the ink to bleed into the page. Letting it “just be” and watching the ink find it’s path in following the fibers os relaxing. I feel that it removes that feeling that you need to control what you are doing on the page. Because, when you are doing Art purely for mental therapy and relaxation, control doesn’t always matter.
I really love the second painting with the ink, beautiful. I feel as you do, I've done this before without even knowing it. Thanks so much for sharing.
I like your paintings especially your own version, and it did look like fun. Here's a thing though, I use to do these sort of pictures when I was a child, I'm now 63. I was always getting into trouble drawing in the margines of my books, at one point the teacher tore my book up and said I had to do the work all over again. I think he was perplexed by me I just kept drawing eventually he stopped rousing on me. But it takes a professor to give it a name who'd a thunk it😊, but you're right it is very relaxing, thank you for sharing, and yes your wife did very well to pronounce that name, it's a twister that's for sure.😊😊
Oh wow I was craving a new idea and your watercolour on wet paper is just brilliant! You're a great artist! I'm in Australia in super hot weather so it's refreshing to hear about snow, lol.
I like to do the drawing and my kids like to color/ paint them. Its a fun collaboration for us! And I can tell you I have experienced the calming effects!
I'm coming to this party late, but I still wanted to let you know how much I appreciated and enjoyed your take on art/therapy. I love your process. I think my love comes from your layering. For me that's color, material, and time. Part of your technique also reminded me of "reverse coloring". You've truly connected with me when I just want to pull out my materials and create are too. Glad I found you. You have a new subscriber!
I am so happy to have had your video show up in my feed - I’m guessing it was the algorithm that matches my interests in art-making, neurographica and neurocognitive challenges. I’ve found neurographica to be a wonderful was to feel good about both the process and outcome of art-making. The first piece you did reminded me of northern Turtle Island indigenous art a bit (which was a nice thing to be reminded of) and I loved your second piece and how it has both a beautiful aesthetic and organic movement about it. I look forward to watching more of your videos and learning from you. Thank you for sharing your art process so generously.
Thanks for sharing your video. I love how you mix it up with pen, ink and water. I've been playing with neurographic art for about a year. I love how it frees my mind and takes me to a place of calmness. I especially love how I never need a plan! I just sit with the blank page and a pen and watch what comes out. Cheers.
Hi! Just found your channel. Your work is pretty amazing! I really love what you’re doing. 🙏🏻 Btw I’m Russian and follow certain courses online with very good instructor Oksana Avdeeva (Оксана Авдеева) who was graduating from Pavel Piskarev’s school. I want to share guys few things which are necessary to call it as a Neurographic. There are some rules and multiple algorithms which are must follow in this style of art. Every picture you do, you give a topic first. You transform something that bothers you to positive side. Main rule of Neurographic is to draw lines unexpectedly, where you didn’t mean to draw. Second rule, round every corner. You can’t have a break if you didn’t round all corners. After you can colour fragments but two or more with the same colour… At the end, you picture should satisfy you. Have a wonderful creating time all you, guys!
