Loved this guys! My fav whisky is Laphroaig. As a woman, I often get a wee bit of stick for my interest in Whisky but it's all in good fun! Love going to the distilleries and learning about it. Theres a wee place on Jeffrey street that also does tastings for folk who may be interested x
Just left the Whisk(I) bar on the mile. Absolutely the best whisky pub I have been to. Shawn the bartender is young but knowledgeable. He is from Ireland and loves to talk whisky. Be well guys’ll! Joe
I'm an afficionada of all these pubs.😁 The Whiski Bar on the Mile is my favourite to take a wee dram of Highland Park, which originates from Orkney. A beautiful light whisky and a favourite of Ian Rankin's Inspector Rebus! Visit The Whiski Bar or Ensign Ewart on the right evening and you can catch The Gorms playing traditional tunes. The evening can get riotous! How about that for a subject Tony? Where to enjoy great live music? Grand to see you & Shaun together again. Loved the way Shaun's cheeks got pinker & pinker after each dram. 😊 Thanks so much. Sláinte! 🥃

Oh wow! I was excited for this video when you posted the sneak peek, but I am even more tickled to discover that you teamed up with Shaun, whom I also follow. How cool! Thanks for another fantastic video. I hope you guys had fun! You're the best.
What a treat , 2 of my favourite Scottish RUclipsrs together !. You should visit the Holyrood distillery the first new local single malt in around 100 years & check the Leith distillery website that will be opening up next to Ocean Terminal & Royal Yacht Brittania. Another idea for a great video would be 3 of Edinburgh's oldest pubs , the White Hart Inn ( 1516 ) in the Grassmarket , the Golf Tavern ( 1456 ) in Bruntsfield & the Sheep's heid Inn ( 1360 ) in Duddingston & while you are there pop into Dr Neil's Garden around the corner next to the Kirk , it is such a beautiful location !. I hope you were not driving home after all those 'wee' drams !!! , Shaun in particular looked a bit tipsy , thanks so much for a wonderful vlog.
My two favorite Edinburgh RUclipsrs. Nice to see the two of you get together for this video. The Ensign Ewart is my first day must go for the Venison Casserole (amazing) when staying in Edinburgh. Nice Pub to finish up at. As always greatly appreciated and always fun watching.
Love it when y'all join each other for the vlogs!! My dad who was not Scottish, he always had one dram on New Year's day of Glenfiddich. I should find a whisky I like to honor his memory this New Year's. Slainte. Thank you for the comprehensive tour! Y'all Rock!💙🏴🇺🇸💙
Really enjoyed this video. I love how you’re so passionate about your Scottish heritage, We’re in the North East of England and at this time I wish they’d move the border. I can trace Scottish roots back to four generations, hubby who’s a Wallace can’t get back after eight generations so far! Was hoping to come to Edinburgh for my birthday,in October but apparently I’m off to London, so we’ll not be back until Christmas. Keep up the good work, love my Saturday viewing
Braw video, Lad(s). It was good to see you doing another interesting collaboration. I agree, Tony, my favourite pubs would be like the Ensign Ewart, ...that felt more like 'traditional' pub. Oy, since when did I have a burger café in Edinburgh, ...I demand some back royalties😂🤣. Slàinte, Lad(s)
Tony! The 1st night I was in Edinburgh we went to the Whiski Bar on the Royal Mile. There was a bit of a wait for a table, so my sisters and I sat at the bar and ordered dinner. This is often done in America, but apparently not in Scotland. Who knew? Brilliant live music. A flight of whisky. My 1st ever sticky toffee pudding. Thanks for bringing back a great memory. ❤
Such a lovely informative video, I really need to visit again soon, nice to see you and Shaun vlogging together, thanks for sharing i think this wee video series will go down well😉
Superb choices for the video! I love the Ensign Ewart. Nothing like sitting back under that portrait of the Waterloo cavalry charge, enjoying a fine scotch and the history of that establishment.
My favourite whisky (B) is Balvenie Double Wood. The sherry cask finish gives such a wonderful, sweet fruit note that completely accentuates the malty tone of Scotch whisky!
Hello Tony from Thomas. Thanks for this one on some of the places around the Mile to pop in for a wee dram of the Water of Life. I am actually enjoying a Talisker Storm as I post. We are heading back to Edinburgh the first two weeks of October and are looking forward to these establishments and many others. Since we stay on St Giles & Bank we are very close to the Whisky Rooms and Shop and it's high on the list as it's an "ARDBEG Embassy" as well. The Bow and Ensign Ewart are also high on the list and we hope to catch some Scottish Folk Music in them as well. Thanks again for doing these and thank you to Shaun as well ( we do watch him often too ). Oh, and I was chatting with a Gent at the Holyrood Distillery and mentioned you and he said you'd been in touch? Hope so as that would be a great video as it's high time that Edinburgh had it's own Whisky. Cheers Tony!

I went to the Whiskey Experience (I think that was the name) near the castle when I visited Edinburgh. A little cheesy, but you gat a taste of several whiskys. You learned about whisky also. Love you having Shaun on, he’s great also.
