I’ve had this amp since I got it new in 1998 or 1999. I would recommend changing the crappy plastic washer and nut with proper metal ones. That’s how I’ve kept it alive this long. I really like it for practicing. Back then, it wasn’t easy to have something you can plug headphones into and that has a aux input. In the late 90s and wary 00s, that was really cool.
@@volvo9051I don’t know about yours but after a while mine was really loose. I would tighten the nut but then it would just snap and be loose. I put a metal washer and then a lock washer and then the nut. Since then it’s been smooth sailing. I have to tighten it maybe once a year if that and that’s using it 2-3x a week
Thank you for this video, Im also a beginner and thinking about gettting the squier affinity strat pack hss which comes with this amp also great playing keep up the good work!!!
I got it this week. Make sure you stretch your strings; it took some time for it to hold a tune. Plus, you get 3 months free of Fender Play (online guitar lessons) .
Same here 🙋🏻♀️ thinking about getting this pack next month to get back into guitar playing after like 7 years or something … if u get it before me pls tell me about your experience with it 😁
@@eileenhenkel4776 heyy! I know this is a year later but I’m also thinking of getting the squier pack and was wondering how are you finding it? if you ended up getting that is! would help a lot to get your opinion!! ☺️
Thanks for le review and le demo. It sounds pretty nice clean. But can you tell me what your thoughts are on tge drive channel? Also, how far did ya get in your guitar journey? Ya knockin down dem barre chords? Dem pentatonic runz?
I can't speak on Orange crush amp because I've never used them.buy.im currently loving my Marshall mg15 starter amp..this Fender should do ya well for a bit, until your a gigging musician and just need something louder. These ate great little amps for the money. Especially when you get them dirt cheap!

what plastic washer you are talking about?
@@volvo9051the input and headphone jack. Under that nut is a black plastic washer.

I love collecting all Fender amps I need a new practice amp will it take pedals?
The R is probably for your Reverb
Yes it does.
I just got this exact same amp at the flea market for 80 dollars and got a Fender Stratocaster for 60 (originally 75) bucks.
Fender stratocaster for 75 bucks?@! Holy moly
Question, what size is the headphone jack? I tried just plugging my headphones right into it and it was way too big for the driver

If you compare with a Orange Crush 12, which will be better?
