It's the self ❤ for me! Your words are so appreciated! It's definitely a struggle. Alopecia comes with so many mixed emotions...anger, resentment, fear, shame, to name a few. I'm adding forgiveness and acceptance to mine. I love a looooong pony, too! Thank you for sharing.
Recently found your channel and I want to thank you for being so open and transparent. I’ve been dealing with alopecia since a teenager and it is sooooo hard because I LOVE MY HAIR AND DOING hair so much. For many years I’ve just given up on trying to treat my alopecia and trying new styles but I appreciate you showing different ways to style your hair.
I was invested all the way to the end! I have CCCA aleopia(scarring) . I was diagnosed in 2019 and the Dr didn't care and didn't give must knowledge. So I was like welp ain't no point in trying to save something that ain't going to grow back. So here we are in 2024 my spot is bigger(crown). I know with age the hair gets thinner. I'm 42 and just have a baby 2 years ago. My hair was sleep the whole pregnancy. Stree would cause my scalp to flair up and my hair would be gone with the window. I half ssa took care of my didn't help. Now, I'm trying to save the hair that I do have. I have been bald before because my hair was not growing right. It's hard tho. One thing you mentioned that I need to do it was my hair more often. This video is amazing!!!
Yes, All the older women in my family are bald or balding. Stuff on my head drives me crazy. When I try, I be snatching that thing off on the way home (key in one hand and wig in the other), in the store, going to the ladies room. Hot flashes are no joke. 😢 Love your spirit. ❣️ You had me sad when you cried. Doja don't care. Jada is gorgeous, Ricki Lake also shine like you and your niece. ✨
So glad I found your channel. 🥰This is so inspiring for me. I have been living with hair loss since 2005. I went to a dermatologist and because I wasn’t ready to come out of the relaxer she sent me on my way🤦🏾♀️ Been Natural since 2014 and still haven’t figured out my hair and next steps. After listening to you describe seeing a dermatologist and getting an actual diagnosis.. I’m going to do just that. Your positivity and acceptance of this is infectious and you are so inspiring!!!! Keep up the good job sharing your journey 🎉
Thank you for sharingwhat living with Alopecia is like. Im so proud of you for being on week 7 of weekly washes. 👏🏾👏🏾 keep on loving on your hair and it will thank you later ❤
What a wonderful honest woman you are, my hair is thinning in the middle I had a blood test they said it is due to the menopause. But like you change my diet using the right product and I can now see growth.
I have high porosity hair also. If I sprayed my hair regularly with water other than the water in my leave in conditioner it might eventually wither away after so long. From beta to alpha from alpha to beta lol. I wish you the best with your hair.
Sis, yes... low porosity hair can be high porosity with heat and chemical damage. Heat causes bubbles behind strand curticles and will float high porosity hair. That damage is not repairable. Best to cut and restart for healthier hair. Check your clean strands under microscope. Low porosity hair floats and heat damaged high porosity hair floats. Back in the day, water and grease worked magic. People love shea butter these days. Grease is too heavy for me cause my hand be in my hair too much. That grease will make you leave your hair alone for a while.
You are funny🎭. Google alopecia. Alopecia = hair loss. Genetics traction metabolic (thyroid, vitamin deficiency, hormonal, stress, dietary.) skin scarring conditions...include auto-immune. She has immune system challenges. Permanent or temporary conditions. Wigs / weaves can produce hair growth or loss depending on technique and scalp / natural hair care regimen.

The wigs are a chemical cap!
Soak those wigs sisters. And nurture your hair underneath the wig. Your hair can grow back.
