the weathering effects looks fantastic and great videos thank you for sharing your work with us
Thank you for watching
good job Andy.
Andy you are an absolute master at modelling! I've been learning from your videos lately and decided to pick up my first kit in years, the AMX 13 by Tamaiya (Love that tank) and seeing you go through your video time lapses on other tanks and diorama's really gives me ideas for painting and is a good way to see/learn techniques on building and painting.
Very nice product looking real nice and a great video.
Thank you
Looks awesome with the soldier on top!
thank you for watching
Looks great!
Thank you I'm glad you liked it
awesome video! Thanks lots. :)
Awasome the products Vallejo...
Hi Andy,
Another great product review and Demo. I look forward to your next build.
Les
Thank you
Sooo cool!!!
Great job Andy. I really like the Vallejo effects. They sure a time saver.
I use to use dirt filtered through a strainer then would use a white glue/water/dirt mix to add the mud effects.....now you can buy mud in a jar :) Really enjoy the videos Andy, keep up the good work!
Its true you can have DIY home made mud and have fantastic finishes. But with these ingredients from my experience you don't have control over it. It dries pretty fast and sometimes you don't have a time to remove excess and correct some parts.
Great video and diorama, definitely shows the potential of Vallejo mud effect product.
Thank you, they do work great.
Wow great effects! Well done!
one of my favorite builds
Very Cool you are a Good model maker !

Great video. Didn't have any of these fancy products when I started out!
another good one Andy!!
Thank you I'm glad you liked it
This is a great video Andy, I'm constructing a similar diorama with the 1/35 Tamiya Panther Ausf A using the same Vallejo products. You're videos are so helpful! I'll be sure to send some pictures once completed! Cheers!
You did a nice job on that figure!
Truly great demostration and the diorama looks fantastic + the music is great, keep doing what you do Andy :)
Thank you
Great video. And great work on the tank.. Looking forward to move videos
thank you, started working on switcher locomotive
+Andy's Hobby Headquarters that's really cool.. Can't wait to see it. Andy can you shoot me an email at janhaayer@gmail.com
Really nice dio Andy, great first impressions on Vallejo's new weathering line too.
Dang, looks damn good to me! Been on the fence, not anymore! I gotta try the mud!
That looks amazing!
Your store looks sick man well done.
yay the classical music is back xD
also great video! :3
Thank you
Andy, this looks really pretty good! Well done!
Great looking diorama. I'm going to have to acquire some of that mud for my Shermans I'm building....
Great job!
Really enjoy watching your builds :)
You must have been working out - that working of the resin putty looked way easier than the desert diorama! I have a couple of Vallejo paints, but I think I might be buying some of this new stuff. Thanks for demonstrating it.
sweet work again Andy keep them coming
thank you
complimenti , sei bravissimo , io amo questi tipi di video
Very informative!
Thank you I'm glad you liked it
I used the Mud and used a wash (Dark Brown) to change to the color I wanted. Model turned out great!!
alas poor money I knew it well. and Vallejo is getting to know my money better. great little Vignette Andy.
thank you, the good part when things are a little bit easier to build it gets me inspired to build more.
Dude that's awesome
brilliant work mate
Thank you
Really good build, keep up the good work. You've inspired me to start making models and start making bases like that too
Looks great!:)
Great looking Diorama Andy! It must be nice being able to work in a Hobby Shop. That would have to be my dream job. ;-) Keep the video's coming.
Very interesting review Andy :) They are using "Gel Mediums" ((which vary in intensity (stiffness)) as a base fort he heavy muds. They dry clear and come in matte, semi-gloss and gloss. The latter for the "wet" mud effects. Well done Vallejo :)
Interesting to see how some of these weathering products behave, as they are all acrylics. I have become accustomed to the smells and characteristics of the enamel products, notably AK Fuel Stains, which with its enamel smell, really has that toxic fuel stain feeling when applied. Kudos to Vallejo, if the Fuel Stain product in acrylic, can dry with that petroleum product-look.
Awesome !!
Nice
Great vid thax, dried tea, pva glue and tamiya flat earth also makes a good mud.
Excellent tip
Hungarian Rhapsody no. 2... Nice
Some transcription of it at least
I might have to get some of this
I had the chance to use the splash mud and thick mud, it is amazing! Saves a lot of hassle.
yep its nice going to have using it and learning tricks
+Andy's Hobby Headquarters I fell in love with them immediately
I just bought some Brown Earth paste from Vallejo, I didn't know they were coming out with new stuff
Andy I love your show and if you haven't built it yet tell me but you should build a king tiger model tank with diorama please Andy
Reminds me of the Tamiya Diorama Texture Paints, but the fibers seem to give a more realistic finish
Pressure was a bit high for the splash mud i think, i also prefer a fan type brush. Nail art brushes are perfect.
I watched you build the entire tank and you never painted a thing until the end and did it all with an airbrush. Maybe I'm not doing right, which, is highly likely. I paint each road wheel separate and tools seperate, the tracks, all of it. Just started learning to airbrush so that's a new adventure for me. I'm 56 so I'm a tad late in the things I'm doing and learning. I'll never build anything as good as you do, but I sure enjoy your videos. Not putting myself down, just being honest. Maybe I should just build Lego's instead. LMAO! 🤣😂
Michael Truhett legos are gold for young and old ;)
Michael Truhett thats what i do! I paint each wheel seperately but i dont have an airbrush
100% of the people in the world will never be as good as Michaelangelo. Yet people still paint because they love it, Do what you enjoy, don't compare to others, just to your previous work.
not agreeing 100% with you as younger people take in information much faster, not saying that older doesnt
I really like your videos Andy!!
Just recently got back into modelling (did some airplanes anad warhammer in my youth) and im trying to use your techniques with tamiya paints and an airbrush but i feel a bit lost at times when it comes to the order and what colors to use so i would love to see some sort of summary of whatpaints/washes/coats you used in the video description box perhaps :).
Over and out
Just catching up with some of your earlier vids and came across this one, can you tell the make of the figure at the end as I need one in that pose for a diorama, thanks
an absolutely amazing. im gonna soon be making my first diorama and iam looking up videos how to do it and this is gonna help me alot. and i want to build one since now i have soon built my 20th model so i wanna make the 21th something more than just a desk piece so yea. thanks!!
Don't know if you answer on comments this far back but if you someday make a diorama with a battle between for example a tiger and a sherman you could try making crators from bullets and splashes of dirt and grass on the tanks to make it look alive :D
For a locomotive I would recommend the trumpeter br 52 or the br 96 :)
Sorry I mean br 86
For clarities sake, this was after you've done whatever dry brushing, and final sealing (clear) coat on your model right? So do the effects need an extra coat of dullcoat ontop of them, or just pop ontop of the sealed model and leave it?
How about a list of all the items you used to make this diorama? Fantastic modeling!
Looks great Andy! Will you be carrying any of these products on your website?
will be soon
+Andy's Hobby Headquarters also the Tamiya easy eight? I can't find that one anywhere except on Amazon for 40 dollars and 2 months shipping. Plus there are not model stores in my area
WE have the easy eights on our websites
+Andy's Hobby Headquarters oh! I'll be sure to check harder then. I couldn't find it last time I looked
Andy that Magic Sculpt isn't cheap why not just use plaster and white glue at 1/100 of the price/cost................just wondering
I'm sold
Very nice. Will these products be available on your website?
Another great job,. Those products look great, but unfortunately one bottle last for a scene or two, so it looks like it could be an expensive diorama.!!!
another great video. I've tried to find trees similar to the ones you use but haven't found any close enough, any recommendations on where to look?
How did you clean the regular paintbrush? I bought some products of these type and i don't know how to clean the brush once i use it
hi Andy do you know what you should dilute vallejo acrylics that you brush paint?
no if your hand brushing they work well right out of the bottle.
+Andy's Hobby Headquarters thank you very much :)
Will you ever consider making a video, or a couple on how you paint figures? I really like in particular the pea dot camo on the panzergrenadier on the Jagdpanzer.
Ethan Ton +same ,how come you never show the painting process of the figures? do you get someone else to do it for you?
That is closer to plane tree camo than pea dot
damn here to soon, still only in 360p lol...
I know youtube is slow today
Cool Diorama Andy, where do you get the bases from?
I made them myself
I would like to know if I could get some of that putty delivered, I live in Switzerland and it is rather difficult to find the putties and/or equivalents.
Hi Andy,
Could you give me a link for the Vallejo diorama effects product(preferably UK website)?
Check out scalehobbyist.com
That's where I purchased all of mine. I live in Tennessee far from any sort of hobby shop and I always use them. Sorry I don't know any euro sites
Great prices and carry just about anything you'll need.
Great video and love the dioarama. what make is the figure on the top of the tank, I have looked everywhere and cant find it
Great diorama may I ask? At the start of the video what is the Soviet tank in the background? I think it's a kv3
do you apply the mud after or before a matt or gloss coat?
could u do Polish 7TP with all photo edge one day. I did one long time ago. Mirage is the producer very cheep models but need loads of work on
i can give u all links if needed. hope yes;)
Since im a relativly rookie modeller, would humbrol be a food place to start for effects?
I have never used Humbrol Paint but I'm sure they will work
wich brown color have you used over the black for the diorama
Andy.
Once again you nail it.. Great video.
Do you have these for sale in your store?
If so, can I be able order by phone??
Do these new products come with instruction sheet? Thanks
